Who We Are, What We Do The Matthew Silverman Memorial Foundation was created by Ron Silverman after his only son tragically took his own life. The foundation is dedicated to combating suicide. We provide financial and programmatic support as well as mental health programs for teens and young adults throughout the country. Suicide plagues young adults everywhere, in every socio-economic segment and is the 2ndleading cause of death for those (10-24) years of age. Matthew Silverman
Where your dollars go... MSMF offers mental health programmatic support for teens. In the 2017/18 school year alone, we will have presented for: (27) Middle/High Schools (6) Middle/High School Parents Nights (22) School Faculties (3) Community Events -MSMF also supplied in class Mental Health Curriculum to (9) schools. -In the 2015/16 school year, we presented at (9) schools total. In 2017/18 we held 42 presentations. Our demand keeps growing and we still have schools on the waiting list for the 2017/18 school year... plus, almost a full roster for the 2018/19 school year. -On average, a minimum of 3 students seek immediate crisis intervention services the day we present. Numerous more come forward throughout the school year after we present.
