ال ح م د ل ل ه ع ل ى ص لات ه ث م س لام االله م ع ص لات ه 1. Praised be Allah for His gifts; His blessings and peace be 2. ح ي د بال تو جا ء ي ع ل ى ن ب ح ي د ال تو ن ع ن خلا ال د ي و قد Upon a prophet who came with divine unity (tawhid) when religion had become devoid of divine unity 3. ق ح ا ل ن ل د ي ق ال خ ل ش د ف ا ر ق ح ل ل ه هد ي و ه س ي ف ب He guided creation to the religion of the Truth (Allah) through his sword and his guiding to the truth 4. ه ر ب ل س ر ل عا قب ا ل م د ح م ه حز ب و ه ح ب ص و ه وا ل Muhammad, the final messenger of his Lord his family, his companions and his party.
5. ن ال د ي ل ص ب ا ع ل م فا ل ع د و ب م ح تم ي ح ت اج ل ل تب ي ي ن To begin; Knowledge of belief is obligatory and requires clarification 6. مم ه ا ل ت آ ل ل و ي ط ال ت ن م كن ل ز م م ل ت صا ر خ ت الا ف ص ار ف ي ه However, due to lengthiness (of the works) resolves have become weak. Thus, brevity has become necessary. 7. 8. و هذ ه أ ر ج و ز ة ل قب ت ه ا ج و ه ر ة ال تو ح ي د ق د ه ذب ت ه ا This is a poem that I have named, The Jewel of Divine Unity, which I have refined. و االله أ ر ج و ف ي الق ب و ل ن اف ع ا ب ها م ر ي د ا ف ي ال ثو اب ط ام ع ا Allah alone I hope for acceptance (from), benefitting by it the person who avidly wants reward.
9. 10. ف ك ل م ن آ لف ش ر ع ا و ج با ع ل ي ه أ ن ي ع ر ف م ا ق د و ج با Hence, it is necessary for anyone who is legally responsible to know what is necessary ل ل ه و ال ج اي ز و ال م م ت ن ع ا و م ث ل ذ ا ل ر س ل ه ف اس ت م ع ا For Allah, the possible and the impossible, and the same for His messengers, thus, listen carefully. 11. في ال تو ح ي د إ ي م ان ه ل م ي خ ل م ن ت ر د ي د Because anyone who follows in divine unity, his faith is not devoid of indecision. ق ل د من ل آ إ ذ 12. ف ف ي ه ب ع ض ال ق و م ي ح ك ي ال خ ل ف ا و ب ع ض ه م ح قق ف ي ه ال ك ش ف ا About him, some of the folk (theologians) have mentioned a difference, whilst others have shed light on it,
13. 14. 15. 16. ف ق ال إ ن ي ج ز م ب ق و ل ال غ ي ر آ ف ى و إ لا ل م ي ز ل ف ي ال ضي ر Saying, If he is holds firmly to the statement of another (person) it is sufficient, otherwise he remains in peril. و اج ز م ب ا ن أ ولا م جب ما ي ص ب م ن ت خ لف و ف ي ه ر ف ة ع م Be certain that the first obligation is knowledge of Allah, although there is a confirmed disagreement about it. ف ان ظ ر إ ل ى ن ف س ك ث م ان ت ق ل ل ل ع ال م ال ع ل و ي ث م ال سف ل ي Thus, reflect over your own self and then move to the celestial and terrestrial realms ت ج د ب ه ص ن ع ا ب د ي ع ال ح ك م ل ك ن ب ه ق ام د ل ي ل ال ع د م You will find therein a creation of unique wisdoms, yet, in it resides the proof of nonexistence.
17. 18. 19. 20. و آ ل م ا ج از ع ل ي ه ال ع د م ع ل ي ه ق ط ع ا ي س ت ح ي ل ال ق د م And anything for which nonexistence is possible, pre-eternality is without doubt impossible for it. و ف سر الا ي م ان ب ال تص د ي ق و ال نط ق ف ي ه ال خ ل ف ب ال تح ق ي ق Faith is explained as confirmation, but there is a difference over uttering (it), as has been verified ف ق ي ل ش ر ط آ ال ع م ل و ق ي ل ب ل ش ط ر و الا س لام اش ر ح ن ب ال ع م ل It is said (to be) a condition like action and it is said (that) in fact (it is) half; and explain Islam by action م ث ال هذ ا ال ح ج و ال صلاة آ ذ ا ال صي ام ف اد ر و ال زآ اة Examples of this are pilgrimage and prayer, likewise, fasting, so understand, and zakat.
21. حت ج ر و ما ن الا ي ز يا د ة ما ب ت ز ي د ط اع ة الا ن س ا ن (The opinion) that faith increases preponderates due to the obedience of a person increasing 22. 23. و ن ق ص ه ب ن ق ص ه ا و ق ي ل لا و ق ي ل لا خ ل ف آ ذ ا ق د ن ق لا Its (faiths) decreasing is by it (obedience) decreasing; it is said (that it is) not; it is (also) said (that there is) no difference, as has been transmitted. ف و اج ب ل ه ال و ج و د و ال ق د م آ ذ ا ب ق اء لا ي ش اب ب ال ع د م Existence and pre-eternality are necessary for Him The same is the case with post-eternality that is not tarnished by nonexistence. 24. و أ نه ل م ا ي ن ال ال ع د م هذا ا ل ق د م ها ن بر خا لف م And He is other than all that nonexistence touches; The proof of this is pre-eternality.
25. 26. 27. 28. ق ي ام ه ب ال نف س و ح د ان يه م ن زه ا أ و ص اف ه س ن ي ه His self-sufficiency and oneness, Transcendent are His lofty attributes. ع ن ض د او ش ب ه ش ر ي ك م ط ل ق ا و و ال د آ ذ ا ال و ل د و الا ص د ق ا From (having) an opposite or a similar as a partner absolutely, and a father; likewise, a son and friends. مر ا و ع ل م ا و ال رض ا آ م ا ث ب ت Power (and) will which are distinct from رت غا ي و را دة إ رة و قد أ command, knowledge and contentment, as has been affirmed. و ع ل م ه و لا ي ق ال م ك ت س ب ف ات ب ع س ب ي ل ال ح ق و اط ر ح ال ري ب His knowledge, it is not said (that it is) acquired, so, follow the way of truth and abandon doubts.
29. 30. 31. ح ي ات ه آ ذ ا ال ك لام ال سم ع ع م أ تا نا ال س ب ذي صر ث م ا ل ب His life; likewise, His speech, hearing, then sight, with these transmission has come to us. ف ه ل ل ه إ د ر اك او لا خ ل ف و ع ن د ق و م ص ح ف ي ه ال و ق ف Does He have comprehension or not (there is) a difference; with a group suspending judgement is sound. ح ي ع ل ي م ق اد ر م ر ي د س م ع ب ص ي ر م ا ي ش ا ي ر ي د Living, Knowing, Powerful, Willing Hearing (and) Seeing, whatever He wants He wills. 32. ص فا ت ث م م ت ك لم ال ذا ت ال ذا ت ن ع ي ب أو ر غ ي ب ست ل ي Speaker. The essential attributes are neither other than nor the actual essence.
33. ب م م ك ن ت ع لق ت ب لا ت ن اه ي م ا ب ه ت ع لق ت Power connects to all possible matters without any limits to that which it relates to. رة ف ق د 34. 35. 36. و و ح د ة أ و ج ب ل ه ا و م ث ل ذ ي إ ر اد ة و ال ع ل م لك ن ع م ذ ي Necessitate oneness for it; likewise, will and knowledge, however it (knowledge) covers this و ع م أ ي ض ا و اج ب ا و ال م م ت ن ع و م ث ل ذ ا آ لام ه ف ل ن تب ع And covers the necessary and impossible. The same is the case with His speech, so we should follow. و آ ل م و ج و د أ ن ط ل ل سم ع ب ه آ ذ ا ال ب ص ر إ د ر اآ ه إ ن ق ي ل ب ه Connect all existing matters to hearing. Likewise, seeing (and) comprehension if it is held to be.
37. 38. 39. 40. و غ ي ر ع ل م هذ ه آ م ا ث ب ت ث م ال ح ي اة م ا ب ش ي ت ع لق ت These are other than knowledge, as has been affirmed. Life does not relate to anything. و ع ن د ن ا أ س م اؤ ه ال ع ظ ي م ه ق د ي م ه ذا ت ه آ ذ ا ص فا ت With us His formidable names as well as His essential attributes are pre-eternal. و اخ ت ي ر أ ن اس م اه ت و ق ي ف يه آ ذ ا ال صف ات ف اح ف ظ ال سم ع ي ه The chosen opinion is that His names are divinely established, as well as His attributes, so memorize that which is transmitted. و آ ل ن ص أ و ه م ال تش ب ي ه ا أ ول ه و ر م ت ن ز ي ه ا Any text that implies similitude, interpret it or consign (its knowledge to Allah), but seek complete absolution (tanzih).
41. أي ا ل قر ا ن ز ه و ن آلا م ه ع ن ال ح د و ث و اح ذ ر ان ت ق ام ه Absolve the Qur an, i.e. His speech of any temporality, and beware of His vengeance. 42. و آ ل ن ص ل ل ح د و ث د لا اح م ل ع ل ى ال لف ظ ا ل ذ ي ق د د لا Any text that indicates temporality, interpret it as the uttered word being referred to 43. ال صف ات ف ي ح قه آ ال ك و ن ف ي ال ج ه ا ت The opposite of these attribute are impossible for Him, such as being in a direction. و يس تح ي ل ض د ذ ي 44. م ما أ ح ق ه في جا ي ز و ك نا إ ي جا دا ا ع دا ما آ غ نى رز ق ه ا ل Anything that is possible is possible for Him, Bringing into existence (and) eliminating, such as enriching.
45. 46. 47. 48. ف خ ال ق ل ع ب د ه و م ا ع م ل م و فق ل م ن أ ر اد أ ن ي ص ل He is the creator of His slave and his actions, facilitating for the one that He wills to reach و خ اذ ل ل م ن أ ر اد ب ع د ه و م ن ج ز ل م ن أ ر اد و ع د ه Abasing for the one that He wills to be distant, and fulfilling for the one He wills His promise. ف و ز ال سع ي د ع ن د ه ف ي الا ز ل آ ذ ا ال شق ي ث م ل م ي ن ت ق ل The success of the felicitous is with Him in eternality, the same is the case with the damned, and these will not change. و ع ن د نا ل ل ع ب د آ س ب آ لف ا و ل م يك ن م و ثر ا ف ل ت ع ر ف ا With us the human has acquisition, by which he is legally responsible, however, he does not effect, so understand.
49. 50. 51. 52. ف ل ي س م ج ب و ر ا و لا اخ ت ي ار ا و ل ي س آ لا ي ف ع ل اخ ت ي ار ا He is not compelled, having choice, however, he does not perform all (his acts) by choice. ف ا ن ي ث ب ن ا ف ب م ح ض ال ف ض ل و إ ن ي ع ذب ن ا ف ب ح ض ال ع د ل If He rewards us, it is by His sheer generosity and if He punishes, it is by His sheer justice. ب وا ج ح لا ال ص ن إ هم و قو ل ب وا ج ما ع ل ي ه زو ر ع ل ي ه Their statement that the befitting (salah) is necessary for Him is a despicable lie, for there is nothing necessary upon Him. أ ل م ي ر و ا إ ي لا م ه الا ط ف الا و ش ب ه ه ا ف ح اذ ر ال م ح لا Have they not seen that He causes children to suffer pain, and the likes of it? So, beware of punishment.
53. 54. 55. 56. و ج اي ز ع ل ي ه خ ل ق ال ش ر ر ك ف ا ل ل ه ج و لا م س آا لا ر خ ي وا ل It is possible for Him to create evil and good, such as Islam and the ignorance of unbelief و و اج ب إ ي م ان ن ا ب ال ق د ر و ب ال ق ض ا آ م ا أ ت ى ف ي ال خ ب ر Our belief in decree is necessary and destiny, as has come in reports. و م ن ه أ ن ي ن ظ ر ب الا ب ص ار لك ن ب لا آ ي ف و لا ان ح ص ار And from it is that He is seen with sights, however, without manner or encompassing, ع ل قت جا ي ز ب إذ ن م ن ي مو ل ل ه ذا و ل ل م خ ت ار د ن ي ا ث ب ت ت for believers, because it was linked to a possible (event); (understand) this, and for the Chosen One it is confirmed in this world.
57. 58. 59. كن ل و م ن ه إ ر س ال ج م ي ع ال رس ل ف لا و ج و ب ب ل ب م ح ض ال ف ض ل And from it is the sending of all the messengers, without it being necessary, rather from His sheer grace. ف د ع ه و ى ق و م ب ه م ق د ل ع ب ا However, our faith is necessary in that, ب ذا إ ي ما ن نا و so, leave the desires of a people whom (their desires) have played with. و و اج ب ف ي ح قه م الا م ان ه و ص د ق ه م و ض ف ل ه ال ف ط ان ه Trustworthiness is necessary in relation to them, their truthfulness, and add to that powerful intelligence. ج با 60. ل هم غ ذا ت ب ل ي ل م ث ما أ تو ا و ي ما ر و و ا ها آ ض د ل ح ي س ت Likewise, their conveyance of that which they brought (is necessary). The opposite of these is impossible, as has been narrated.
61. 62. و ج اي ز ف ي ح قه م آ الا آ ل و آ ال ج م اع ل ل نس ا ف ي ال ح ل The likes of eating is possible in relation to them, and the likes of lawful sexual intercourse. و ج ام ع م ع ن ى ا لذ ي ت ق رر ا ش ه اد ت ا الا س لا م ف اط ر ح ال م ر ا The meanings that have been affirmed are brought together by the two testimonies of Islam, so discard argumentation. 63. ه س ب ك ت م وة ن ب كن ت و لم و ل و ر ق ى ف ي ال خ ي ر أ ع ل ى ع ق ب ه Prophethood is not acquired, even if he ascends in goodness to the highest ranks. 64. ب ل ذ اك ف ض ل االله ي و ت ي ه ل م ن ي ش اء ج ل االله و اه ب ال من ن Rather, that it is the grace of Allah which He gives to whoever He wills, Majestic is Allah, the giver of gifts.
65. و أ ف ض ل ال خ ل ق ع ل ى الا ط لا ق ن ب ين ا ف م ل ع ن ال شق ا ق The best of creation undisputedly is our Prophet, so turn away from dissension. 66. و الا ن ب ي ا ي ل و ن ه ف ي ال ف ض ل و ب ع د ه م م لا ي ك ه ذ ي ال ف ض ل The prophets follow him in virtue, and after them, the virtuous angels. 67. ف ص لو ا إذ ف ه ذ ا و قو م ض لو ا و ب ل ض ي ف قد ض ه ع ب ل آ ض ع (Understand) this, and a group gave details by given preference, with some of each being preferred to others. 68. ب ال م ع ج ز ات أ يد و ا ت ك رم ا و ع ص م ة الب ار ي ل ك ل ح تم ا They were supported by miracles by way of honouring, with the protection of the Creator, of a certainty, being for each (of them).
69. 70. 71. 72. أن ق خ ل ا ل ر خ ي ص خ و ق د ت مم ا ب ه ال ج م ي ع ر بن ا و ع مم ا The best of creation was specified by our Lord completing them all by Him and generalising (his message). ب ع ث ت ه ف ش ر ع ه لا ي ن س خ ب غ ي ر ه ح ت ى ال زم ان لا ي ن س خ His Sacred Law will not be abrogated by other than it until time (itself) is abolished. و ن س خ ه ل ش ر ع غ ي ر ه و ق ع ح ت م ا أ ذ ل االله م ن ل ه م ن ع His abrogating the Sacred Law of other than him has occurred without any doubt, may Allah humiliate the one who does not allow (for it). و ن س خ ب ع ض ش ر ع ه ب ال ب ع ض أ ج ز و م ا ف ي ذ ا ل ه م ن غ ض Abrogation of some of His Sacred Law by other (parts of it) permit, and there is no deficiency in that.
73. 74. 75. 76. و م ع ج ز ات ه آ ث ي ر ة غ ر ر م ن ه ا آ لا م االله م ع ج ز ال ب ش ر His miracles are numerous and precious, Amongst them is the speech of Allah, which incapacitates humans. و اج ز م ب م ع ر اج ال نب ي آ م ا ر و و ا و ب ري ن ل ع اي ش ه م ما ر م و ا Be certain of the ascension of the Prophet; and exonerate Aisha of the slander they accused her of, مع فا س ت ن رو ا ل ق ر خ ي ل و ص ح ب ه ت ب ع من ل ف تا بع عي ف تا ب His companions are the best of generations, so pay attention, then the followers (tab i) and then the successors(tabi tab i) و خ ي ر ه م م ن و لي ال خ لا ف ه و أ م ر ه م ف ي ال ف ض ل آ ال خ لا ف ه The best of them are those who were assigned the caliphate, their status in virtue is the same as the caliphate.
77. 78. 79. 80. ي ل ي ه م ق و م آ ر ام ب ر ر ه ع دت ه م س ت ت م ام ال ع ش ر ه After them follows a noble righteous people their number is six, a completion of the ten. ف ا ه ل ب د ر ال ع ظ ي م ال شان ف ا ه ل أ ح د ب ي ع ة ال رض و ا ن Then the people of Badr, whose affair was great, then the people of Uhud, then the pledge of Ridwan. و ال ساب ق و ن ف ض ل ه م ن ص ا ع ر ف ه ذ ا و ف ي ت ع ي ي ن ه م ق د اخ ت ل ف The foremost (sabiqun) whose virtue is scripturally known, (understand) this, however, there is a disagreement in specifying them. و أ ول ال تش اج ر ا لذ ي و ر د إ ن خ ض ت ف ي ه و اج ت ن ب د اء ال ح س د Interpret the conflict (between the companions) that is mentioned if you do delve into it, and avoid the disease of envy.
81. 82. 83. 84. و م ال ك و س اي ر الا ي مه آ ذ ا أ ب و ال ق اس م ه د اة الا مة Malik and the rest of the Imams, likewise, Abu Qasim (Imam Junayd) are the guides of the community, ف و اج ب ت ق ل ي د ح ب ر م ن ه م آ ذ ا ح ك ى ال ق و م ب ل ف ظ ي ف ه م It is necessary to follow the learned ones amongst them, as the folk have mentioned using understandable phrases. و م ن ن ف اه ا ف ان ب ذ ن آ لا م ه و أ ث ب ت ن ل لا و ل ي ا ال ك ر ام ه Affirm saintly miracles, and discard the words of anyone who negates them. و ع ن د ن ا أ ن ال دع اء ي ن ف ع ع م س ع دا ي و ا ل قر ا ن ن ما م آ With us supplication benefits because of that promise which is heard in the Qur an.
85. 86. ب ك ل ع ب د ح اف ظ و ن و آل و ا و آ ات ب و ن خ ي ر ة ل ن ي ه م ل و ا With every human are guardian angels who have been appointed and scribes who never omit م ن أ م ر ه ش ي ي ا ف ع ل و ل و ذ ه ل ح تى الا ن ي ن ف ي ال م ر ض آ ما ن ق ل Anything that he does, even absentmindedly, even the groans in (a person s dying) sickness, as has been transmitted. 87. لا م ا لا ل و ق ل س ال ن ف ب حا س ف لا ص و ر م لا ج د من ب ر ف So, hold yourself to account and lessen (your) lengthy hopes; for often the one who is determined in a matter reaches. 88. و و اج ب إ ي م ان ن ا ب ال م و ت و ي ق ب ض ال رو ح ر س و ل ال م و ت Our belief in death is necessary, and the angel of death seizes souls.
89. و م يت ب ع م ر ه م ن ي ق ت ل و غ ي ر ه ذ ا ب اط ل لا ي ق ب ل The person killed dies at his (set) age, (anything) other than this is false and unacceptable. 90. ا خ ت لف خ ل دى ال ن ف س ف نا ال ن ف و في و اس ت ظ ه ر ال سب ك ي ر ف ع ب قا ها ا لذ There is a difference about the extinction of the soul at the blowing of the trumpet, Subki held that it remains, as is known. 91. 92. ع ج ب ال ذن ب آ ال رو ح ل ك ن ص حح ا ال م ز ن ي ل ل ب ل ى و و ضح ا The coccyx is like the soul, however, Muzani authenticated and clarified (the opinion) that it disintegrates. و آ ل ش ي ء ه ال ك ق د خ صص و ا ع م و م ه ف اط ل ب ل م ا ق د ل خص و ا Everything is perishing; however, they specified its generality, thus, seek that which they summarised.
93. 94. و لا ت خ ض ف ي ال رو ح إ ذ م ا و ر د ا ج دا و كن ل ع ال شا ر ن ع ص ن Do not delve into the soul, for no text came from the Lawmaker. However, it is found ل م ال ك ه ي ص و ر ة آ ال ج س د ف ح س ب ك ال ن ص ب ه ذ ا ال سن د From (the people of the school of) Malik that it is a form like the body, the text that has come from them is sufficient for you. 95. ع ق ل آ ال رو ح و ل ك ن ق رر و ا ف ي ه خ لا ف ا ف ان ظ ر ن م ا ف سر و ا The intellect is like the soul, however they have confirmed a difference about it, so look at what they have explained. و ا ل 96. ر ع ذا ب ا ل ق ب ث م س و ال نا ر ش ح ا ل ث ع آ ب جب وا م ه ع ي ن Our questioning and then the punishment of the grave, (and) its pleasures are necessary, like the resurrection.
97. و ق ل ي ع اد ال ج س م ب ال تح ق ي ق ع ن ع د م و ق ي ل ع ن ت ف ر ي ق Say that the body is recreated, as has been verified, from complete nonexistence, and it is said from complete separation. 98. خ ف لا خ ذا ا ل كن ل ن ض ي ح م صا با لا ن ب يا و صا ن هم ع ل ي من However, this difference is particular to other than the prophets and those who have been mentioned. 99. 100. و ر جح ت إع ا د ة الا ع ي ا ن There are two opinions about the recreation of accidents, و ف ي إ ع اد ة ال ع ر ض ق و لا ن the (opinion of) recreation of the actual (accidents) has been made to preponderate و ف ي ال زم ن ق و لا ن و ال ح س اب ح ق و م ا ف ي ح ق ار ت ي اب There are two opinions about time. The accounting is true, and there can be no doubt about truth.
101. 102. ف ال س يي ات ع ن د ه ب ال م ث ل و ال ح س ن ات ض و ع ف ت ب ال ف ض ل Bad deeds with Him are (recompensed) by its like. Good deeds are multiplied by (divine) grace. و ب اج ت ن اب ل ل ك ب اي ر ت غ ف ر ص غ اي ر و ج ا ال و ض و ي ك فر By avoiding major sins minor sins are forgiven. and it has come (that) ritual ablution effaces (minor sins). 103. ف مو ق ا ل ل هو ث م الا خر و ا ل يو م ق ح ف خ فف ي ا ر ح ي م و اس ع ف The Last Day and then the terror of the standing are true, so make easy, O Merciful One, and assist (us). 104. و و اج ب أ خ ذ ال ع ب اد ال صح ف ا آ م ا م ن ال ق ر ا ن ن ص ا ع ر ف ا And it is necessary (to believe) that humans will take the scrolls, as is known scripturally in the Qur an.
105. 106. 107. 108. و م ث ل ه ذ ا ال و ز ن و ال م ي ز ان ف ت و ز ن ال ك ت ب أ و الا ع ي ان The same as this is the weighing and the scales, scrolls or entities will be weighed. م ر و ر ه م ف س ا ل م و م ن ت ل ف Likewise, the bridge, with humans differing آ ذ ا ال صر اط ف ال ع ب اد م خ ت ل ف in their passing (between those who travel) safely and the destroyed. و ال ع ر ش و ال ك ر س ي ث م ال ق ل م و ال ك ات ب و ن ال لو ح آ ل ح ك م The Throne, the Chair, the Pen, the Scribes and the Preserved Tablet; all have wisdoms. لا لاح ت ي اج و ب ه ا الا ي م ان ي ج ب ع ل ي ك أ يه ا الا ن س ا ن Not for any need, in them belief is necessary on you, o human.
109. 110. 111. 112. و ال نار ح ق أ و ج د ت آ ال ج نه ف لا ت م ل ل ج ا ح د ه ج ن ذي Hellfire is true and has been created just like Heaven, so, do not incline to an insane rejector. د ار ا خ ل و د ل ل سع ي د و ال شق ي م ع ذب م ن عم م ه م ا ب ق ي Abodes of eternity for the felicitous and the damned, tormented and blissful as long as they remain. إ ي م ان ن ا ب ح و ض خ ي ر ال رس ل ح ت م آ م ا ق د ج اء ن ا ف ي ال نق ل Our belief in the pool of the best of messengers is definite, as has come to us through transmission. ي ن ال ش ر ب ا م ن ه أ ق و ام ا و فو ا ب غ وا ط من ي ذا د و قل هم ه د ع From it shall receive drink people who were loyal to their covenant, and say those who transgressed will be driven away.
113. 114. و و اج ب ش ف اع ة ال م ش فع م ح مد م ق دم ا لا ت م ن ع The intercession of the intercessor is necessary, Muhammad the foremost, do not prevent (this). و غ ي ر ه م ن م ر ت ض ى الا خ ي ار ي ش ف ع آ م ا ق د ج اء ف ي الا خ ب ار And others from the elect chosen ones will intercede, as has come in reports. 115. ف ر ف لا ن ك فر م و م ن ا ب ال و ز ر For forgiveness of other than unbelief is possible, را ن غ ف جا ي ز إ ذ hence, we do not excommunicate a Muslim by misdeeds. ك ا ل ر غ ي 116. ي م ت و ل م ي ت ب م ن ذ ن ب ه ف ا م ر ه م ف وض ل ر ب ه Whoever dies and does not repent from his sin, his affair is consigned to his Lord. و م ن
117. كب ار ت ض ع ب ب ع ذ ي ت وا جب و ث م ر ة آ ب ي ال خ ل و د م ج ت ن ب It is necessary to punish one of those who have committed major sins, but eternal (punishment) is avoided. 118. 119. و ص ف ش ه ي د ال ح ر ب ب ال ح ي اة و ر ز ق ه م ن م ش ت ه ى ال ج نات Describe the war martyr as alive, his sustenance is from the pleasures of Heaven. و ال رز ق ع ن د ال ق و م م ا ب ه ان ت ف ع و ق ي ل لا ب ل م ا م ل ك و م ا ا تب ع Sustenance with the folk is whatever is benefitted from, It is (also) said, no, in fact, it is that which is owned, but it is not followed. 120. و ي ر ز ق ال م ك ر و ه و ال م ح رم ا Thus, Allah provides the lawful, so know well, فا ع ل حلا ل ا ل ا الله ق ز ف ير and he provides the offensive and the prohibited. ما
121. 122. 123. 124. ف ي الاآ ت س ا ب و ال تو آل اخ ت ل ف و ال راج ح ال تف ص ي ل ح س ب م ا ع ر ف There is a difference about earning (a livelihood) and reliance, the strongest (opinion) is detail in accordance with what is known. و ع ن د ن ا ال شي ء ه و ال م و ج و د و ث اب ت ف ي ال خ ار ج ال م و ج و د With us a thing is that which exists, and that which exists is confirmed in actuality. و ج و د ش ي ء ع ي ن ه و ال ج و ه ر ال ف ر د ح اد ث ع ن د ن ا لا ي ن ك ر The existence of something is its essence, and the indivisible particle (jawhar fard) is temporal with us, which is not denied. ث م ال ذن و ب ع ن د ن ا ق س م ان ص غ ي ر ة آ ب ي ر ة ف ال ثان ي Sins with us are of two types, minor and major, (for ) the latter
125. 126. حا ل ا ل في وا جب م ن ه ال م ت اب حا ل ل ل عد ي إن ولا ا ن ت قا ض Repentance is necessary from it immediately, however, there is no cancellation if he returns to (that) state. ل ك ن ي ج دد ت و ب ة ل م ا ا قت ر ف و ف ي ال ق ب و ل ر أ ي ه م ق د اخ ت ل ف He renews his repentance for that which he committed, and in acceptance (of this repentance), their opinions differ. 127. و ح ف ظ د ي ن ث م ن ف سب ن مال س ج ب و قد عر ض و ها ع قل م ث ل و Protection of religion, then life, (then) property, (then) lineage, Likewise, intellect and honour are necessary. 128. و م ن ل م ع ل و م ض ر و ر ة ج ح د م ن د ي ن ن ا ي ق ت ل آ ف ر ا ل ي س ح د Whoever rejects that which is necessarily known of our religion is killed as unbelief and not as legally prescribed punishment.
129. ع م ج م ن فى ل ه ذا من ل م ث و أ و اس ت ب اح آ ال زن ى ف ل ت س م ع Examples of this are the one who negates something which is agreed upon, or legalises the likes of illicit sexual intercourse, so listen up. 130. 131. و و اج ب ن ص ب إ م ام ع د ل ب ال شر ع ف اع ل م لا ب ح ك م ال ع ق ل Appointing a just ruler is necessary by Sacred Law, know (this), and not by an intellectual ruling. ف ل ي س ر آ ن ا ي ع ت ق د ف ي ال دي ن ف لا ت ز غ ع ن أ م ر ه ال م ب ي ن However, it is not a pillar that must be believed in religion, so do not swerve from his clear instruction. 132. ف ان ب ذ ن ع ه د ه ف االله ي ك ف ي ن ا أ ذ اه و ح د ه Except by unbelief whereupon you discard his covenant, Allah alone will suffice us from his harm. ر ك ف ب لا إ.
133. 134. 135. 136. ب غ ي ر ه ذ ا لا ي ب اح ص ر ف ه و ل ي س ي ع ز ل إ ن أ ز ي ل و ص ف ه With other than this, his removal is not permitted, Nor is he removed if his description ceases. و أ م ر ب ع ر ف و اج ت ن ب ن م ي م ه و غ ي ب ة و خ ص ل ة ذ م ي م ه Command good, avoid tale bearing, backbiting and blameworthy traits. س د ح و دا ء ا ل ر ك ب وا ل ب ج ع آ ا ل ف اع ت م د ل ج د وا ل را ء م آا ل و Such as vanity, arrogance, the disease of envy, and such as argumentation and disputing, so depend (on what has been mentioned). و آ ن آ م ا آ ان خ ي ار ال خ ل ق ح ل ي ف ح ل م ت اب ع ا ل ل ح ق Be as the best of creation was, always forbearing, following the truth.
137. ف ك ل خ ي ر ف ي ا تب اع م ن س ل ف و آ ل ش ر ف ي اب ت د اع م ن خ ل ف All good is in following those who came early (salaf), and all evil is in the innovation of those who came later(khalaf). 138. 139. 140. جح ر قد ي لل ن ب ي هد ل آ و ي ب ح ما لم و دع عل ا ف ح أ ب ي ما ف All guidance of the Prophet outweighs, so, whatever has been permitted, do, and leave whatever he did not permit. ف ت اب ع ال صال ح م من س ل ف ا و ج ان ب ال ب د ع ة م من خ ل ف ا Follow the righteous early Muslims, and avoid the innovations of the later Muslims. ه ذ ا و أ ر ج و االله ف ي الا خ لا ص م ن ال ري اء ث م ف ي ال خ لا ص (Understand) this; and I beseech Allah for sincerity from showing off, and then salvation
141. 142. م ن ال رج ي م ث م ن ف س ي و ال ه و ى ف م ن ي م ل ل ه و لاء ق د غ و ى From the accursed (Satan), then my ego and caprice, for whoever swerves towards these has strayed. ه ذ ا و أ ر ج و االله أ ن ي م ن ح ن ا ع ن د ال سو ال م ط ل ق ا ح جت ن ا (Understand) this; and I beseech Allah to grant us on questioning in all cases our proof 143. 144. ث م ال صلاة و ال سلام ال داي م ع ل ى ن ب ي د أ ب ه ال م ر اح م Then peace and blessings constantly be upon a prophet whose way is mercy. م ح مد و ص ح ب ه و ع ت ر ت ه و ت اب ع ل ن ه ج ه م ن أ مت ه Muhammad, his companions, his family and those who follow his way from his community.
