Welcome to Stoneham Golf Club Thank you for your enquiry regarding membership of Stoneham Golf Club, please find enclosed details of Membership types, prices, benefits and the application process. The Club was established in 1908 in an old deer park and Willie Park Junior, designer of Sunningdale, then created a wonderful course in the undulating heath and parkland. The Club is owned entirely by the Members and therefore have a vested interest in providing the best facility possible to all who visit whilst safeguarding the long term future of the Club. Full Membership limits are maintained to ensure members access remains a priority with additional space provided for 6-day, 5-day members and juniors. With society play generally limited to Mondays, Tuesday afternoons, Thursdays & Fridays there is ample time to allow members access to the course. The Club is very competitive having over 180 single figure golfers (a handicap limit of 18 for Full/6 day and 24 for 5 day male new joiners applies) and provides an abundance of internal & external competitions and matches for members to enjoy. For couples we also have a thriving mixed golf programme of formal & fun competitions, informal roll-ups and mixed matches. For those people who enjoy visiting other golf courses, Stoneham enjoys reciprocal golf with nine other Clubs in Hampshire, Surrey and Dorset of a similar status and quality, a list of which is included in this pack. We are also affiliated to a special group of clubs at which Members can enjoy courtesy of the course throughout the year through our membership of the 1908 Society. The next step in joining is to complete the application form enclosed in this pack and return it to the Club and we will then be in contact very shortly. If you require any further information or would like to come and visit us please do not hesitate to contact us on 02380 769272. Richard Arnold Manager/PGA
