Any record attempt will only be considered to be authorised by us where you have signed our standard agreement in relation to record attempts.

Record definition The record is for the fastest time to pack a suitcase. This is to be attempted by an individual. This record is measured in minutes and seconds, to the nearest 100th of a second. Rules for 1. All items must start next to the case, in a randomly jumbled up order, which is to be done by an independent witness just before the time starts. Failure to do this will result in disqualification. 2. The case must start closed with zips and/or fasteners done up. 3. At the given signal, the participant may open the suitcase and begin packing the case in any order. 4. All items must be the correct way around. Any items placed in the case inside out will result in disqualification. 5. A loud start signal recognised by all participants must be used. 6. The contents and the way in which the case is packed must be examined by the witnesses straight after the attempt has finished. If it is deemed by them that it is not packed in a suitable manner, then the attempt is disqualified. 7. The suitcase must be placed on the ground and is not permitted to be moved during the attempt, other than the shifting which may naturally occur during the packing process. 8. The participant must start with wearing 5 items of the list to be packed, which may be put on before the time starts. These items are: Sarong, sunglasses (on the head if the participant wears glasses and is unable to fit them over these), man's shirt, man's t-shirt and the sun hat.re-arranging of the items is permitted once they are in the case. 9. Any items that are hanging out of the side of the case after the finish signal will result in disqualification. 10. All items to be included in the suitcase must be submitted to GWR for approval prior to the attempt with pictures. 11. A standard, commercially available unmodified suitcase must be used for the attempt with a maximum size of 69x46x28 cms (27.x 18.1x11 in) and either shut with buckles or a zip fastener. 12. The participant starts standing next to the case and items but is not permitted to hold any of the items.these 5 worn items may be taken off more than one at a time, but most be placed into the case one at a time only. 13. All items must be folded in a way that allows them to fit into the case and that would resemble the method used by the participant to pack their own personal belongings. This decision of the suitability of this will be at the discretion of GWR. 14. The suitcase should not be stood up or moved at the end of the attempt before inspection. 15. The participant may take as many breaks as he/she wishes, but the clock must not stop at any time for any reason. 16. All 20 items to be packed must be commercially available and unmodified.

17. Please see list attached to the end of guidelines for the items that are to be included. These are non- negotiable. All inflatable items must start fully inflated. The last 5 items to be packed must be the five items that are worn by the participant. The entire attempt must be done wearing these 5 items. 18. All items must be placed in the suitcase one at a time. 19. Placing more than one item in the case at any one time will disqualify the attempt, as will 'throwing' or 'tossing' the items into the case. 20. The time stops when the suitcase is shut and locked either with the clasps or the zips. The participant must give a loud signal to indicate that they have finished.
