SAT PREP in L110 after school this Friday (9/29) and next Friday (10/6). Links to featured problems can be found on the SAT Prep link at www.clintonmagic.com CONGRATS TO THE TITAN SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM for their performances at Nevada Union HS on Saturday. Several new debaters won some of their first rounds of competitive debate ever. Additionally, several other students achieved their own personal bests: Eloise McLeod, Felicity Sahr and Kiran Khalid each had 3-1 records in their respective events for the day. Out of over 50 competitors in Student Congress, Carson Smith (13th) and Arham Javid (3rd) both made it to the final round. Congratulations to all who attended. The next competition will be in two weeks at Woodcreek HS. GO TITANS! ROYALTY VOTING Make sure you go and vote for you Senior Royalty Monday, 9/25-Thursday, 9/28 on the stage during both lunches. SOBER GRAD Hey seniors!!! Time to prepare for a fun week of post-graduation events. The night of graduation, you will have a fun filled party. Have a great weekend with your family and rest up for your fun-filled trip to Universal Studios on June 7 th. The total price for everything is only $235 if you purchase by September 30 th. SPIRIT WEEK 3 rd quarter Thursday: Royalty day (ties & tiaras) 4 th quarter Friday: Class colors Overtime: Sidewalk march at 5:30 pm, tailgate at 6:15, varsity game at 7:00, enjoy the halftime festivities then on to end the night at the dance 9:30-11:30. UNIVERSITY FIELD TRIPS We are scheduling college/university trips for the month of October. The first trip will be to visit UC Berkeley and CSU East Bay on October 4 th. Our second trip will be local on October 26th to go to Sacramento State and UC Davis. We do recommend to bring a packed lunch or money for food while on the visits. Deadline will be September 28 th to turn in your forms. HOPE CLUB Looking for volunteer activities? Come join H.O.P.E Club! We are looking for volunteers to help run bingo tournaments at the Mistywood Retirement Center. Meetings are every Monday after school in room A201. ATTENTION STUDENTS: The school day ends at 2:35 on most days and 1:45 on Monday. 15 minutes after school is out, students need to leave campus unless you are part of an organized sport, club or activity, are working with a teacher or are working in the Academic Learning lab. TITAN PERFORMING ARTS KIDS CAMP Do you know a 2nd-8th grade student who likes to sing and dance? Kids will sing the national anthem at the start of the October 6th Varsity Football game and perform a jazz/hip hop routine at halftime. Pick up the information in the Titan dance studio or front office. Please complete the waiver and registration by September 27th to ensure correct T-shirt size and a spot. Only $45 for 3 hours of dance, 1 hour of singing, a Titan Performing Arts Shirt, and a fun performance ANTELOPE LEARNING LAB: Do you need help with homework? A quiet place to work? Access to technology? Tutoring? ALL of the above?! Then come to the Antelope Learning Lab (ALL), offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:45-4:30 pm in the Library. Ad prices are $50 (1/8 page), $85 (1/4 page), $150 (half page) and $285 (full page). DEADLINE to purchase an ad is NOV. 3. INFORMATION FROM THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE Late arrivals: If you arrive to school late, or return from an appointment for which you had an early dismissal, ALWAYS check in at the attendance office even if it s during lunch or a passing period. Early dismissals: If you know you ll be leaving early for an appointment, please have your parent/guardian call the attendance office prior to school starting (you can pick up your pass on your way to class), or have them send a note with you. Bring the note to the attendance office before school to get a Special Excuse pass to leave at the time specified. Please note: if your parent/guardian comes into the school to dismiss you due to a last minute
appointment, they will need to allow 15 to 20 minutes for you to be released, especially if you re in PE or if they come in during the intervention period when it may be difficult to locate you. If you are feeling ill while you are in the classroom, get a pass from your teacher to go see the nurse. The nurse will then contact your parents arranging for your dismissal. Using your phone while in class to call or text your parents will put you in jeopardy of losing that phone!! Absence clearance: Please remember that all absences need to be cleared by your parent/guardian as soon as possible, preferably the day of the absence.
