Registration: 13:00 14:00 First Race Start: 14:00 Organizer: Aloha Sea Sports Center Contact email: info@alohaseasports.com.sg Tide: At 14:00 (2.3m) 18:00 (2.6m), High tide at 17:00 (2.7m) ENTRY CONDITIONS The Aloha SUP Classic is open to all participants who are proficient in Stand-up paddling at least 500m in up to 10 knots of wind. REGISTRATION Registration will be on the day itself. Cash payment only. Club boards will be available on a first come first serve basis. Participants are encouraged to arrive early as entries will be closed 30 minutes before first start. 1

Aloha Fun Race Team Relay (Group of 4-5 at least 1 kid under age of 17) RACE RULES 1. BOARD LENGTH - Board length in the elite class should not exceed 14. Open classes, Junior and kids have no restriction for length. Board length in the Club board class should not exceed 12 6. 2. LEASH & LIFE VEST All race participants must use a LEASH. Participants are encouraged to use a LIFE VEST. For Kids and Junior Categories, it is compulsory to have LIFE VEST. 3. STARTING LINE The race director will do a 10 second countdown to start the race. No part of the SUP board should cross the START line before the countdown reaches zero. 4. COLLISIONS The race course will have buoy turns and it is highly likely that board collisions will occur. All race participants are advised to try and avoid collisions at all times during the race. 2
5. FAIR PLAY Race participants that deliberately or accidentally cause a fellow competitor to fall off their board will be DISQUALIFIED from the race. For example, if a race participant loses his/her balance and touches/pushes/hits anybody (head, neck, back, leg, etc.) part or equipment (board, paddle, leash) component of a competitor that is beside and causes the competitor to fall off her/his board, the erring participant will be disqualified. The disqualified participant will have to stay clear off the race course and carefully paddle back to shore. 6. NUMBERED RACE EVENT TEE: At the start all competitors must wear the RACE TEE distributed during registration. Those who do not wear the RACE TEE will not be scored at the finish line and will be considered DNF (did not finish). Starting Sequence SCHEDULE & SUP RACE SEQUENCE 1300 - Registration 1400 - Race Briefing 1430 - Earliest possible start of race for 8km and 4km 1515-1km Junior and Club board Open 1545 500m Kids 1630 Aloha Fun Race Team Relay 1800 - Prize Presentation and Opening Ceremony 1830 Buffet Dinner! All categories starting sequence will be the same. Race director will announce a 5-minute warning and then a 1-minute warning of which at this point, participants are expected to get ready to start. Lastly, a 10 second countdown will be initiated for the start! 3
8km ELITE AND 4km OPEN CLASS @ 1430: Beach Start paddle and board in hand. Start line will be between two Starboard flags on the beach. Assemble along the starting line at least 10 min before earliest possible start. Should there be not enough space along the beach, participants arriving later are to line up behind the first row. The course format will be similar to an M course with some minor adjustments. There will be 4 buoy turns on water and for the 8km competitors and additional 1 buoy on land. Competitors for 8km/4km course will paddle one round on the M course before returning to the start and finish area. For 8km competitors, they will return to shore for a short run/walk. There will be lane markings to run/walk around a land buoy with their board and paddle in hand. After which, they will paddle one more round before heading to the finish line. The race director will decide which direction to head first on the day itself depending on wind direction. See diagram for more information. 1km JUNIOR OPEN and CLUB BOARD OPEN CLASS @ 1515: Beach Start paddle and board in hand. First row to consist of all Junior racers. Remaining boards will be arranged according to the 3 different boards provided by Aloha. Additional entries to open class using personal boards (not more than 12 6 length) will line up for the start behind the Aloha boards. The first row will enter water first. 2 nd row stand by on the water line. Once it s safe and clear, Safety Marshall will give signal for next row of boards to enter. So on and so forth. Competitors will head out and round 2 buoys before the last leg back to the finish! 500m KIDS DIVISION @ 1545: Likely to start after all other classes have returned to shore. Parents are required to assist their child who is competing in launching and recovering. Kids will be paddling to the star dock (250m away) and back! 4
Aloha Fun Race Team Relay @ 1630: Further details will be given during the brief. Teams to standby at least 10 minutes before start. This is a surprise event and teams are expected to be able to do tandems, buoy turns and maybe a little bit of a swimming! TROPHIES / PRIZES All Categories will have a medal for the champion, first runner up, second runner up except for Open class which will have prizes for top 5 position.
