SHOOTOUT SNAPSHOT: The Seawolves aim for their seventh GCI Great Alaska Shootout title when they host the tournament for the third time at Alaska Airlines Center... UAA s game against Portland will be a regular-season counter, while the Seawolves Wednesday contest will be counted as an exhibition for UAA and a regular game on its opponent s record... this marks the 37th edition of the women s Shootout, which was known as the Northern Lights Invitational from 1980-97... from 1999 to 2013, the Shootout was played at Sullivan Arena... fi nd complete historical info at GoSeawolves.com/Shootout. SEAWOLVES AT THE SHOOTOUT: In 1990, the Seawolves became the fi rst Div. II women s team to win a tournament against all- Div. I competition, repeating their feat at the 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 Shootouts... the fi rst title came when the tournament included eight teams and was known as the Northern Lights Invitational; the subsequent championships have come under the current 4-team format the Seawolves are 36-54 all-time in the Shootout and 16-18 since the current format began in 1999. POST TOASTED: The Seawolves earned a pair of lopsided wins, 99-32 and 89-32, against Post (Conn.) on Nov. 17 & 18 at the Alaska Airlines Center to stay unbeaten... in the fi rst game, Sr. F Autummn Williams scored 20 points and Fr. PG Yazmeen Goo set a UAA freshman record with 13 assists as UAA recorded the program s 3rd-largest margin against a fellow NCAA Div. II opponent... UAA s 56-11 halftime lead equaled Goo its largest ever against a DII foe, while the 26-2 score in the 2nd quarter marked its fewest points allowed and largest margin in any quarter against a D-II opponent since women s college basketball went to quarters last season... fi ve different Seawolves had at least 5 steals, including six by Goo, as their 37 team steals ranked second in program history and set another D-II opponent record... in the second game, Williams led a balanced offense with 14 points and UAA got at least 8 points from eight different players, with Jr. F Shelby Cloninger and So. SG Tara Thompson chipping in 11 apiece... the Seawolves outshot the visitors from Connecticut 56 percent to 27 percent overall, while sinking 48 percent (11 of 23) from 3FG range. WINNING WAYS: At 71-5 (.934), the Seawolves have the most victories and the 2nd-best winning percentage (Limestone, 66-4,.943) in NCAA Div. II over the past two seasons... the Seawolves have won more games (257) over the past decade (starting with 2006-07) than just five other D-II women s programs (West Texas A&M, Clayton St., Holy Family, Delta St., Emporia St.)... the 2016-17 Seawolves are aiming for the program s 11th consecutive winning season and 10th NCAA Tournament berth in 11 years... UAA has gone a combined 147-13 (.919) in the last 11 seasons on its home courts... the Seawolves have led the nation in steals per game for three straight seasons, including a program-record 15.0 spg in 2014-15. BIG-TIME NUMBERS: With 13.6 steals per game, the 2015-16 Seawolves led NCAA Div. II for the third straight season... the Seawolves were also top-10 nationally in scoring margin (2nd, +25.6), assists per game (3rd, 19.6), turnovers forced per game (3rd, 23.5), scoring defense (5th, 54.7 ppg), turnover margin (6th, +6.9), rebound margin (6th, +9.5), FG% defense (7th,.341) and scoring offense (9th, 80.2), along with top-30 team ranks in FG% (15th,.451), offensive rebounding (17th, 16.4), assist/turnover ratio (18th, 1.2), 3FGs per game (22nd, 8.1), 3FG% defense (22nd,.277) and 3FG% (27th,.362)... in the GNAC stats, UAA led in 14 of 21 team categories and ranked second in four others. Robertson is NCAA Div. II s active career leader in total assists and assists per game, plus No. 2 in total steals and steals per game... the only Hawaiian ever to suit up for the Seawolves, Robertson was the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2014-15 and is the reigning 2-time GNAC Tournament MVP. DEVINE TALENT: Sr. F and team co-captain Alysha Devine is averaging career-highs of 10.5 points and 2.8 steals per game

thus far boosted by a career-high 7 steals against CSULA after being named Preseason All-GNAC last month... the Wasilla High product was the NCAA West Regional Tournament MVP last spring after totaling 29 points, (12-23 FG) 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the 2nd- and 3rd-round wins over Cal Baptist and UCSD... Devine earned an honorable mention All-GNAC nod as UAA s 5th-leading scorer Devine (8.6 ppg) and 2nd-leading rebounder (5.0) on last year s NCAA Runner-up club, recording 10 14-plus scoring efforts in the last 21 games... among the early GNAC leaders this year, she ranks 3rd in steals and 2nd in offensive rebounds per game (2.8)... on UAA s career lists, Devine currently sits 37th in scoring (600 pts), 27th in rebounds (390), 10th in 3FG% (.362), 16th in games started (65) and 9th in victories (90). FALLING FOR AUTUMMN: Sr. F Autummn Williams has led the Seawolves in scoring in all four games, with a season-high of 20 points Thursday against Post... she has also shot better than 50 percent, dished at least 4 assists and grabbed multiple steals in every contest... the transfer from D-I Arkansas Little Rock holds early GNAC ranks of 6th in scoring (16.5 ppg), 7th in assists (5.3 apg), 4th in A/T ratio (3.5), 7th in steals (2.3) and 14th in FG% (.553). VITAL VETS: Of the three non-starters returning from last year s 38-3 club, all are playing increased roles this season... Jr. F Sierra Afoa is averaging a career-best 5.8 ppg and shooting.556 (10-18) from the fi eld, while starting all four games... So. SG Tara Thompson has also moved into the starting lineup and more than doubled her averages so far, with 7.8 ppg and 3.8 rpg... the former Dimond Lynx led UAA in Wandersee rebouding in the first two games and is shooting.391 (9-23) from long range... So. F/C Hannah Wandersee has come off the bench to rank as UAA s 3rd-leading scorer with 11.3 ppg and leading rebounder with 5.0 rpg... the former Kodiak High star is 7thbest in the GNAC with a team-high.619 FG%, while ranking 6th in the league with 2.3 steals per game, too... Wandersee had her best totals against a D-II opponent with 17 points and 9 rebounds in the first win over Post. NASTY NEWCOMERS: Along with Sr. F Autummn Williams, UAA has four newcomers averaging 7.8 points per game or better thus far, including 2nd-leading scorer Jr. F Shelby Cloninger... a transfer from North Idaho College after playing at Div. I Utah State, she has averaged 11.8 ppg and 2.0 spg despite coming off the bench in all four games thus far... showing off a dynamic inside-outside game, Cloninger holds early GNAC ranks of 16th in scoring, 14th in steals, 18th in FG% (.515), 5th in 3FGs per game (2.5) and 11th in 3FG% (.526, 10-19)... another JC transfer, Jr. SG Kaitlyn Hurley is contributing 8.5 ppg and 2.0 apg, while shooting 8 of 18 (.444) from long range... the Snow (Utah) College product ranks 7th in the GNAC with 2.0 3FGs per game... true Fr.
