Rules 1. Rules The 4thITTT for AF Rodin Award will be played according to the international table tennis rules of ITTF. 2. Eligibility 2.1 The tournament is held in Singles and Doubles. 2.2 Participation in the tournament is allowed to the best players of Russia by a personal invitation, to invited players from other countries and to leading players of the Arkhangelsk region. 2.3 All participants of individual tournament who are older than 40 years of age or who will be 40 years of age in the year of 2017 are eligible to participate in doubles. 2.4 All participants of individual tournament who are older than 40 years of age or who will be 40 years of age in the year of 2017 are allowed to participate in 2 singles event. 3. Categories and Events 3.1. Categories - OPEN tournament international individual tournament among to the best players of Russia and other countries; - VETERAN tournament individual tournament in the 5 age categories: 40-49 years; 50-59 years; 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70 years and over; - DOUBLES tournament fin the 5 age categories: 40-49 years; 50-59 years; 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70 years and over; 4. Organisation 4.1. The 4rd ITTT for AF Rodin Award is an official competition, conducted in accordance with Russian Table Tennis Federation work schedule, the work plan of Arkhangelsk region Sport Agency, Russian Table Tennis Federation work plan for 2017.
4.2. General management, preparation and conduct of the tournament will be provided by organizing committee of the table tennis club «Rodina» 5. Financing 5.1. The costs of the tournament are assigned to table tennis club "Rodina", according to the approved cost estimates. 5.2. Transporting and accommodation costs rely upon participants or sending organizations. 6. System of play 6.1 System of play is determined by Referee College at the draw, according to the number of participants on August 27, 2017. 7. The draw 7.1 The draw will take place on 28th August 2017 at 9:20 am in Nord Arena. 8. TABLES AND EQUIPMENT Butterfly Centrefold 25 Tables and Nittaku Premium***40+ balls 9. Players Obligations 9.1 Players may use only approved and authorized equipment according to the valid list provided on the ITTF -website. Players must accept the ITTF-rules concerning racket controls (see chapter 3.2.4 of the ITTF Handbook) as a condition of participation, too. 9.2 Each player is obliged to compete at the time and table set by the Competition schedule. The player is responsible for keeping her/himself informed when and where to play. Any player who fails to appear at the scheduled table in time will automatically lose the match, after a 5 minutes waiting period. 9.3 After the end of their matches and before leaving the table players must check the results on the score sheet and sign it.
9.4 During the competition, players have to wear their surnames on their backs while playing. 9.5 The organizers accept that no restrictions should be made with regard to drinking water during a match. However, drinking water will only be specifically allowed at the same time as the towelling down regulation. 9.6 No advertisement for alcoholic drinks and tobacco shall be worn by the players in the playing halls. 10. Awards Medals and diplomas will be presented to the winners, runners-up and losing semi-finalists of all events. The Winners will be awarded with sport cups and prize money.
