FROM BEGINNING TO WINNING Vinery Stud was originally settled as Segenhoe in 1823 by British MP Potter Macqueen and was converted to a Thoroughbred nursery in 1913. A breed shaper, More Than Ready is the ultimate professional. He will be returning for a 17th book in the Hunter Valley and heads the roster of 8 elite stallions this year. Segenhoe rose to prominence under legendary horseman Lionel Israel who operated the 2,300 acre property in the heart of horse country, just outside Scone. Tom Simon s U.S operation, Vinery Stud, took over Segenhoe in 1999 and had immediate impact with foundation sire Red Ransom (USA).
