President s Message This off season has been very new, with our former President Mrs. Julie Minton Hughes no longer on the Board, the rest of us have really been challenged. But we have had a relatively active offseason in preparing for the upcoming summer. As a relatively new member to the pool I have really enjoyed the last couple of summers and I hope that this year will be just as fun! This summer we plan to continue with the success of the Wednesday evening cook outs. Even though each of the board members have enjoyed these, they got to be very tiring to do week after week. This year we are going to divide the board in half so that we only have to work the cook outs every other Wednesday. We are asking the members to volunteer and help each week. If we don t get the help necessary to do this, we may be forced to cut them back. The annual assessment has gone up a little this season due to some increased operating costs. Which include life guard coverage of the pool at our Wednesday evening cookouts. Last season, we typically had to bring in one additional life guard each Wednesday evening to help with floaty night. Also, this season we plan to have an additional snack bar attendant work the Wednesday evening cookouts. Back by popular demand we will continue swim lessons for our younger swimmers. We will have three sessions of them throughout the summer, the dates of these have been listed in this newsletter. The fee for each lesson will stay at $35 per child, however there will no longer be a multi-child discount. There will be a minimum and maximum class size. Also, if class size permits, we will continue to allow outside guests to sign up for the swim lessons, but a member must sponsor them. The fee for guests lessons will be $50 per child, per session. The board and I are looking forward to another great summer! Mail all checks and forms to: CVPA P.O. Box 4634 White Rock, NM 87547 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT DUE MAY 1, 2017 A late fee of $50 will be assessed on payments received after May 5, 2017 1
