6

ADJUSTMESNT OF рн LEVEL The ph index is one of the main parameters of water quality in pool. An ideal рн should be in the range of 7.2-7.4. The deviation of ph from the Optimal values decreases the efficiency of disinfectants, poor coagulation/ flocculation processes, disturbance of mineral balance of water, increases corrosion of metal components of pools, contributes to formation of lime scale, causes eye and skin irritation. рн Minus Granules Reagent in granules for lowering рн level: Dissolves quickly Does not contain acids Dosage*: 15 g of reagent per 1 м 3 of water for lowering of ph level by 0.2 Note: should be pre-dissolved in a separate container Packaging: 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg рн Minus Liquid Reagent in liquid for lowering рн level: Simple to use Does not contain acids Cannot be overdosed Dosage*: 400 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water for lowering of ph level by 0.2 Special requirements: store at temperatures from +15 о С up to 30 о С Packaging: 5 L, 20 L рн Minus Liquid HА Reagent in liquid based on hydrochloric acid for lowering рн level: Improves mineral balance of the water Decreases total alkalinity Ideal for hard water and well water Dosage*: 100 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water for lowering of ph level by 0.2 Packaging: 5 L, 20 L рн Plus Granules Reagents in granules for increasing ph level: Dissolves quickly Does not contain acids Does not lead to foaming Dosage*: 15 g of reagent per 1 m 3 of water for increasing of ph level by 0.2 Note: should be pre-dissolved in a separate container Packaging: 5 kg PARAMETERS OF рн LEVEL Low Lower bound Optimal Upper bound High ph less than 7.0 7.0-7.2 7.2-7.4 7.4-7.6 over 7.6 * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagent should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 7

WATER DISINFECTION FROGGY ТМ offers two types of disinfectants depending on base active substances: active chlorine and active oxygen. The most effective water disinfection is based on chlorine! Disinfectants based on inorganic and organic chlorine in process of hydrolysis form hypochlorous acid (active chlorine HOCl). It possesses the strongest disinfecting effect and is able to destroy microorganisms in less than 2 minutes. Liquid Chlor L100 Disinfectant liquid of fast action for automatic batching station: Powerful effect against bacteria, viruses, fungi and organic compounds Contains stabilizer that does not accumulate in water and does not cause overstabilization Shock disinfection*: 300 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Regular disinfection*: 50-80 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 2-3 days Special requirements: store at temperatures from +10 о С up to +30 о С Packaging: 20 L It is strongly recommended not to use inorganic chlorine Liquid Chlor L100 simultaneously with reagents based on organic chlorine, such as Shock Chlor Granules, Shock Chlor Tabs 20, Desiclean Complex, Long Chlor Tabs 200. This can cause an oxidation reaction that will lead to a fast decrease in chlorine activity, to water turbidity, sedimentation and a strong chlorine smell. Shock Chlor Granules Granulated disinfectant reagent of fast action with stabilizer: Stabilizes chlorine level in water Does not lead to sedimentation and lime scale Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi Does not influence on рн level Shock disinfection*: 100 g of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Regular disinfection*: 40 g of reagent per 10 м 3 of water once in 4 days Note: should be pre-dissolved in a separate container or placed in a skimmer Packaging: 4 kg, 8 kg, 25 kg Shock Chlor Tabs 20 Disinfectant of fast action in tablets with stabilizer: Stabilizers chlorine level in water Does not lead to sedimentation and lime scale Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi Does not influence on рн level Shock disinfection*: 5 tablets (20g) of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Regular disinfection*: 2 tablets (20g) of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 4 days Note: should be pre-dissolved in a separate container or placed in a skimmer Packaging: 4 kg, 8 kg, 25 kg Desiclean Complex Complex long-acting water treatment reagent 3 in 1: Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae Does not lead to sedimentation and lime scale Decreases water turbidity Dissolves slowly Shock disinfection*: not applicable Regular disinfection*: one tablet (200 g) per 25 m 3 of water every 7-10 days should be placed in a skimmer or a float dispenser with turned on filtration system Packaging: 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg 8

Long Chlor Tabs 200 Disinfectant of long action in tablets: Effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae Does not lead to sedimentation and lime scale For regular water disinfection Dissolves slowly Shock disinfection*: not applicable Regular disinfection*: one tablet (200 g) per 25 m 3 of water every 7-10 days should be placed in a skimmer or a float dispenser with turned on filtration system Packaging: 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg ACTIVE CHLORINE PARAMETERS Low Lower bound Optimal Upper bound High chlorine less than 0.3 ppm 0.3-0.8 ppm 0.8-1.2 ppm 1.2-3.0 ppm over 3.0 ppm It is important to control the level of stabilizer content in water while using stabilized organic chlorine based reagents. Cyanuric acid acts as a stabilizer and is used only to protect chlorine from detrimental action of ultraviolet rays. During disinfection the chlorine that is generated during hydrolysis of chlorineisocyanurate destroys pathogenic microorganisms. Cyanuric acid gradually accumulates in water, which leads to overstabilization, blocking the chlorine activity. As a result, further addition of organic chlorine will not lead to water disinfection but will stimulate reproduction of microorganisms and algae growth. Recommended level of cyanuric acid is 25-50 ppm. Stabilizer content of 75 ppm and higher means that the water is overstabilized. SIGNS OF OVERSTABILIZATION: Turbid water Incorrect (low) chlorine content values Addition of chlorine has no effect WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF OVERSTABILIZATION? The amount of stabilizer in water has to be adjusted by dilution by fresh water to decrease cyanuric acid content to 25-50 ppm. It is recommended to carry out shock disinfection at least once every 10 days to maintain pool water in impeccable condition. Regular shock chlorination helps to protect pool water from viruses and bacteria, and to remove water odours, chloramines that cause irritation to eyes and skin. ADDITIONAL SHOCK CHLORINATION HAS TO BE CARRIED OUT IN THE FOLLOWING CASES: In open pools after heavy rain fall In case of overcrowding of the pool Unpleasant odour High exposure to sunlight Signs of algae growth Turbid water BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION OF CHLORINE REAGENTS: 1. Do not use chlorine disinfection if ultraviolent lamps are used 2. If pool water temperature rises above 26 О С, the chlorine dose should be doubled for each 5 О С increase 3. Shock chlorination should be made at night time when there are no swimmers in the pool * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagents should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 9

10

CHLORINE-FREE WATER DISINFECTION If users of private pools are allergic to chlorine, active oxygen disinfection could be used as an alternative. FROGGY ТМ line includes the reagent for shock disinfection OxyShock L110 and the long-acting disinfectant OxyLong L120. OxyShock L110 Disinfectant liquid of fast action: Impeccable quality of water without chlorine smell Effective at any рн value Does not irritate eyes and skin Shock disinfection*: 1 L of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Regular disinfection*: 0,5 L of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 4 days Packaging: 20 L OxyLong L120 Disinfectant liquid of long action: Impeccable quality of water without chlorine smell Effective at any рн value Does not irritate eyes and skin Economical to use Recommended for open-air pools Contains stabilizer that protects the reagent from detrimental action of ultraviolet rays Shock disinfection*: not applicable Regular disinfection*: 100 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 4 days Packaging: 20 L * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagents should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 11

REMOVAL OF ALGAE In order to keep pool water quality at a high level, algae must be absent. Chlorine disinfection does not always cope with this task. To prevent algae formation in the water and on pool walls it is recommended to use Аlgicide L210 or Аlgicide L220. Аlgicide L210 Аlgicide against algae: Removes and prevents algae formation Does not contain chlorine Does not foam Allows to keep pool water clean from algae at low concentration of free chlorine Primary treatment*: 500 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Following dosage*: 100 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once a week Special requirements: content of metals, water hardness, ph should be corrected to recommended values before the product is used Packaging: 1 L, 5 L, 10 L, 20 L Аlgicide L220 Аlgicide against algae, fungi and bacteria: Fast powerful action Does not contain chlorine Effective at any рн value Has a disinfecting effect Does not foam Economical to use Primary treatment*: 200 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Following dosage*: 50 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once a week Special requirements: : store at temperatures from +15 о С up to +30 о С Packaging: 1 L, 5 L If the water in the pool starts to turn green or become turbid and the pool walls and floor around the pool become covered with mucous, this probably means that there is a problem with algae. To resolve this problem we recommend use of Algicide Shock L230 or carrying out of shock chlorination. Algicide Shock L230 Concentrated algicide of strong action removes all types of algae: Effective when other means are powerless Does not contain chlorine Economical to use For algae removing*: 100 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water For prevention of algae*: 30 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 10 days Special requirements: store at temperatures from +15 о С up to +30 о С Packaging: 1 L, 5 L * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagents should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 12

REMOVAL OF WATER TURBIDITY While pool is in use tiny particles accumulate in water. They are not trapped by sand screens and cause turbidity and color. Therefore, coagulants have to be added to the water from time to time. FROGGY ТМ product line includes a wide range of coagulants that make pool water crystal clear. SetiFlock L310 Liquid coagulant of fast action: Clarifies turbid water Improves filtration Dosage*: 150-250 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once a week Packaging: 1 L, 5 L, 20 L SetiFlock C310 Coagulant in granules of prolonged action: Clarifies turbid water Improves filtration Economical in use Most effective for public swimming pools Dosage*: 25-50 g of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once a week Note: should be pre-dissolved in a separate container Packaging: 4 kg, 25 kg SetiFlock Ultra L300 Liquid coagulant ultra-formula: Coagulant based on aluminium hydroxychloride with high content of active substance Economical to use Most effective for public swimming pools Dosage*: 25-50 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once a week Packaging: 1 L, 5 L, 20 L * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagents should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 13

CORRECTION AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE To maintain pools in an ideal condition and to solve any problems that arise when they are in use FROGGY ТМ offers a line of auxiliary products. REAGENTS FOR POOL SURFACE TREATMENT For gentle treatment of pool surface and vulnerable elements FROGGY ТМ offers the use of Cleanup Gel and Calcirid, which are compatible with most types of surface materials. Cleanup Gel Gel-like reagent for water line treatment from all types of mineral and organic deposits: Effectively removes difficult and old deposits Does not damage chromium, nickel and copper-plated surfaces Economical to use Usage: apply a small amount of reagent on a dry sponge and treat dirty surface. After the treatment delete the reagent residues with help of dry sponge Packaging: 1 L Calcirid Concentrated reagent for removal of all types of mineral deposits: Applicable for all types of surfaces, in particular for chromium, nickel and copper-plated surfaces Does not contain phosphates Economical to use Usage: apply on a brush and treat the dirty surface. Leave for some minutes and then thoroughly wipe and wash with water Packaging: 1 L, 5 L Sometimes it happens that conventional efforts are not enough to get rid of mineral deposits. In this case, it is recommended to use Descaling Agent that will easily help to remove any type of mineral deposits, even the old ones. Descaling Agent Reagent for removal of difficult mineral deposits: Concentrated formula Effectively removes lime and rust Should not be applied to chromium, nickel and copper-plated surfaces Usage: should be pre-dissolved with water in proportion 1:1. Apply to the treated surface, leave for some minutes and then thoroughly wash with water. Repeat the procedure if needed Special requirements: protection means for skin and eyes should be worn while working with this reagent Packaging: 1 L, 5 L It is absolutely not recommended to use household chemicals for pools treatment as they contain phosphates, which are nutrients for algae growth. 14

REAGENTS FOR STABILIZATION PROCESSING OF POOL WATER Tap water in many big cities and also in some regions as well as water from wells is characterized by a high level of hardness and excess content of metals, which is a basic cause of mineral sedimentation and water turbidity. The excess of hardness salts and metals in water leads to decrease of efficient activity of disinfectants, рн-controllers and algicides. Regular and timely application of correctional reagents not only guarantees that the pool looks perfect, but also shows a significant economical effect. It is recommended to use Calcinon regularly to decrease the water hardness and prevent lime scale. Calcinon Liquid to prevent lime sedimentation: For regular use Effective at any рн value Dosage: 1 L of reagent per 25 m 3 of water Packaging: 1 L, 5 L If water with high content of metals (iron, manganese, etc.) is to be used, dark-red to brown shades can appear during oxidation by disinfectant. Therefore it is extremely important to add Metaldez at the very beginning of the water treatment. Metaldez Liquid for removal of metals: Effective at any рн value Increases efficiency of filtration Dosage: 400 ml of reagent per 50 m 3 of water Packaging: 1 L, 5 L If you do not want to spend much time and effort to maintain your pool in ideal condition, we recommend you to use Crystal Bluе. Crystal Bluе Complex reagent with disinfecting action: Copes with algae, slime, lime deposits and metals Crystal clear water without excessive effort Effective at any рн value Compatible with all disinfecting and auxiliary reagents Primary treatment: 200 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water Following dosage: 100 ml of reagent per 10 m 3 of water once in 10-14 days Packaging: 1 L, 5 L 15

RECOMMENDED VALUES OF CORRECTABLE WATER PARAMETERS Parameter Total alkalinity Calcium hardness Metal content Ideal value 80-120 ppm 200-400 ppm 1.0-1.5 ppm We recommend use of Dechlor for fast neutralization of excess chlorine and bromine in water in case of overdosage. Dechlor Neutralizer of excess chlorine and bromine: Dissolves quickly Does not cause sedimentation Effective at any рн value Dosage*: 100 g of reagent per 10 m 3 of water to decrease chlorine (bromine) content by 0.2 ppm Packaging: 5 kg We recommend FreezyPool to be used for effective protection of the pool in autumn-winter period. FreezyPool Reagent for pool conservation: Prevents the formation of algae and mineral scale Lowers the рн level Reduces the consumption of cleansers in spring Dosage*: 400 ml of reagent per 10m 3 of water of regular hardness Note: if water has a tendency for lime scale formation (hardness > 400 mg/l CaCO3) the dosage should be doubled Packaging: 1 L, 5 L * The proposed dosages should be considered as general recommendations. Dosage of reagents should be increased or decreased depending on the water temperature, hardness, intensity of pool use, etc. 16
