Walk With Me Dear Friend, 5K walk on the wild side benefiting easter seals houston Easter Seals is holding its Second Annual 5k Family Fun Walk, Walk With Me, on Saturday, April 20, 2013! Walk With Me is different from any other walk and you will be too by then end of it. Not only will you walk side by side with the people you are helping, but you ll be doing it through the Houston Zoo! Signing up for this event means you will have an opportunity to meet and hear from a child or adult with a disability who has benefited from the services of Easter Seals. It also means you ll get to experience the Houston Zoo in an entirely new way. Please consider gathering friends, family, and coworkers to form a team or to sponsor a walker through a donation. Every dollar raised stays here in Houston. Our intentionally low entry fee of $50.00/walker (children under 12 are free) is to encourage as many Houstonians as possible to walk in support of their community. That means your neighbor whose child was born pre-maturely, your cousin whose toddler needs a little help with his speech, or your closest friend whose child was just diagnosed with a developmental delay can all join us and will benefit from Easter Seals programs. Each day she endures in overcoming these obstacles with help from a supportive network of skilled therapists and teachers, and a devoted family. Carmen s warrior-like spirit and perseverance are inspirational to all who are fortunate enough to know her. We are proud to say that Carmen is a part of our Easter Seals family, and 2013 Walk With Me Ambassador. Thanks to Easter Seals, Carmen continues to make progress and is a beautiful bundle of energy who loves her life!
