June 7, 2018 Dear CAK Parents, Happy Summer to everyone! I hope this is a season of rest and rejuvenation for both you and your children. Without taking up too much of your time, there are two important items of business in the Warrior Parent Association we need to let you know about: 1. The CAK WPA Used Uniform Sale will be Saturday, July 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be a consignment event where proceeds are shared between parents and the WPA. Everything you need to know to participate as either a seller or shopper or both! is contained in the document below. We hope to see you there! 2. The WPA is excited to begin sending out our own newsletter, The Warrior Parent Postbox. You do not want to miss all the exciting news on upcoming events we will be sharing through this newsletter! If you were an official member of the WPA in the past two years or have served with the WPA in the past, we may already have your email address in our database. WPA USED UNIFORM SALE SATURDAY, JULY 14, 2018 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. CAK MIDDLE SCHOOL MUSIC ROOM Please drop off your tagged items at the MS Music Room on Wednesday, July 11 between 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. *Bring a self-addressed stamped envelope for mailing your check. 1. All clothing must be clean and in good to excellent condition (more info on Pricing Guidelines page), on hangers and tagged with our WPA sale tags according to instructions. No other tagging systems will be accepted. 2. There is a participation fee of $3 per family to help offset costs of the sale. Upon paying the $3 fee via PayPal, you will receive a Family Sale ID, Participation Form and instructions on how to pick up your tags. 3. The sale is hosted by the Warrior Parent Association and there will be a profit split of 50/50 (parents/wpa) to fund the various projects of the WPA which benefit our school. See recommended pricing tables (attached) for more info. 4. Credit/debit cards only, please. No cash or checks will be accepted. 5. Parents will have the chance to opt in to the CAK Outfitters Retagged scheme after the sale is over with any items which did not sell and which families do not want returned. For every 12 items donated, CAK Outfitters will give a 20% off one-time use coupon. For less than 12 items, each item donated counts toward the 12 needed to obtain the coupon. Families may donate to Retagged at any time, year round. 6. For any clothing items (uniform or CAK athletic wear) that are wearable but which have small stains, families may donate them to the Pass It On section at the sale. Any parent who spends at least $25 at the sale may pick an item from the Pass It On section. 7. CAK Outfitters will be on site at the sale for any parents who wish to order or purchase uniform-approved outerwear or new PE uniform clothing. 8. Educational Outfitters will be on site at the sale to do fittings and take orders for new uniform items. Proceeds will be mailed to the sellers via checks from the WPA approximately three weeks after the sale. Please pick up your unsold items in the MS Music Room on Monday, July 16 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. All items not claimed will be donated. Email the WPA with any questions!
PRICING GUIDELINES: *For items in excellent condition, clothing should be priced at roughly 1/3 of the original retail price, except for excellent condition EO plaid items & Land s End leather belts which may be priced closer to 1/2 of original. For items in good condition, less than that. *Except where indicated, the pricing table attached refers to Land s End items. Active refers to the Land s End Textured Active line. *We are not accepting shoes, leggings, tights, socks, athletic wear from CAK sports teams or PE clothing in the sale. Athletic wear may be donated to the Pass It On section. All clothing must be clean and free from rips, stains, holes, burns, missing buttons, broken zippers, pilling, fading or discoloration. Any clothing deemed unfit for the sale will be removed and returned to you. TAGGING INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Pay your participation fee via PayPal ($3) using the link provided and indicate in the comments box on your payment how many tags you will need (one per item): PayPal: https:// paypal.me/pools/c/84yfxbtosg 2. Once payment has been received, you will receive your Family Sale ID and WPA Used Uniform Sale Participation Form. Print out as many copies of the form as you need to list your items. You will be notified when your tags are ready to be picked up from a designated basket in the Campus Center. 3. Using the Pricing Guidelines tables (attached), list each item you are selling on the Participation Form inventory list and complete all sections of the form. One tag per item sold. Write your Family Sale ID and the sale price of each item on the long part of the tag. Use only whole dollar increments to price your items. 4. If you are planning on donating your unsold items to CAK Outfitters after the sale, please use a pink highlighter to mark the short edge of your tag with a pink stripe (see attached diagram). All tags with a pink stripe on the edge will be donated at the end of the sale. Items without a pink edge will be pulled and sorted for return to you. 5. All items should be on hangers except for belts, ties and hair accessories. If you are holding the item in front of you, the hanger hook should face LEFT and the price tag should be fastened on the RIGHT (see attached diagram). Fasten tags using safety pins and use a seam if at all possible. 6. Drop off your tagged clothing, Participation Form and a self-addressed stamped envelope (for mailing your check) at the Middle School Music Room on Wednesday, July 11 between 1pm-6pm.
