How to Participate Adult Summer Reading is open to all readers aged 18 and up. Please register at the Reference Desk or online at bit.ly/chescolibsasr nd complete as many activities as you are able using the Bingo card provided. Enter the title of the book you read on the corresponding numbered line. Use each title only once. Reading or listening only matters for squares numbered 1, 11, and 14. Every other square can be completed with the format you prefer read a print book, an ebook, or listen to an audiobook! Books should be at the adult or young adult reading level. Earn one ticket for each square you mark off, up to 25 tickets. Get BINGO (5 squares in a row, column, or diagonal) and earn a raffle ticket for the Grand Prize. Each participant may earn only one Grand Prize raffle ticket. Earn additional raffle tickets to bid on prizes by correctly answering our online Summer Reading Trivia! (one ticket for each question correctly answered) We will update the questions weekly at bit.ly/chescolibsasr Return your Bingo Card to the Chester County Library or Henrietta Hankin Library between July 16th and August 27th to receive your raffle tickets to enter for prize drawings. Enhance your Summer Reading Experience and earn another Raffle Ticket! Explore your community! Get some fresh air and exercise by walking with the Chester County Red Rovers! The Red Rovers is Chester County s Chapter of the American Volkssport Association. Volkssport is an international sports phenomenon that promotes personal physical fitness and good health by providing fun-filled, non-competitive, and safe exercise in a stress-free environment through self-paced walks and hikes. The Red Rovers have four Year-Round Walks available for your walking pleasure. Each walk has two routes to choose from 10k (6.2 miles) or 5k (3.1 miles). Walks are rated for difficulty. The rating for elevation is a number with 1 being the easiest; the rating for terrain is a letter with A being the easiest. Downingtown (1A) starts at Kimberton Whole Foods 150 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Downingtown 19335 Hibernia County Park (2B) starts at the Park Office 1 Park Road, Coatesville 19320 Phoenixville (2B) starts at the Artisans Gallery & Café 234 Bridge Street, Phoenixville 19460 Warwick County Park (3C) starts at the Park Office 382 County Park Road, Pottstown 19465 You can walk our Year-Round Events anytime, on your own schedule. All of these walks are available as long as the Start Point is open. How to participate in a Year-Round Walk: 1. Choose your walk. 2. Go to the Start Point and ask for the Walk Box. 3. Inside the Box, you will find a binder. In the Walker Log, number, complete, and sign the next available line, noting that you are walking for FREE. 4. Take and complete a Start Card, being sure to include your Walker Number from the binder. Take an addressed envelope after you ve completed your walk you will mail your Start Card to the Red Rovers for their records. Please be sure to SIGN your card before mailing it. 5. Use the rubber stamp and stamp pad to stamp your CCL/HH Reading Record and earn your Raffle Ticket! 6. Choose your distance and take the written directions/map for that walk. 7. There is information about the Red Rovers and other walks around the state in the Walk Box. Help yourself! 8. Have a great walk! Please note: 1. The Phoenixville walks are 10k and 6k. 2. Downingtown and Phoenixville are sneaker-appropriate. 3. If you have extra-sturdy sneakers or hiking boots, they are recommended for Hibernia and Warwick.
