P1 Precondition 1: If enabled, the Laser must be disabled. 1 On the Main screen, press Guidance Mode Selection Then press Profile 2 3 Select the profile to use, or create one by scrolling up or down through previously created profiles Create a profile by using the following: Use the selected profile for excavation Edit the selected profile Clear the selected profile (creates flat plane) 4 Edit the profile using the following keys: Move between the active nodes Use the number pad to enter X and Z values of the points Select active node for editing Move the node left or right (+/- X) Move the node up or down (+/- Z) Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 15 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1

Dig a Profile Design (continued) 5 Repeat Step 4 until a profile is created 6 A blue node can be used as an optional bench node. In addition to X and Z values, this node can have a Y value and does not need to be in line with the profile. Use this node to reference the system where no other node in the profile can be touched. This option requires the GPS compass to be enabled. Referencing the system: The bucket teeth must be able to touch one of the nodes OR a blue bench node can be used. 7 LEVEL THE EXCAVATOR 8 Touch one of the nodes with the bucket Do not move the machine Press Bucket Then use the arrows to move to the correct node 9 Press to confirm node selection 10 DIG THE PROFILE DESIGN Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 16 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1

Dig a Trench Design Pr P1 Preface: A trench design can be used to dig a complex series of combined flat planes and slopes along the center line of the machine as desired by the operator. Precondition 1: If enabled, the Laser must be disabled. 1 On the Main screen, press Guidance Mode Selection Then press Trench 2 Select the trench to use, or create one by scrolling up or down through previously created trenches 3 Create a trench by using the following: Use the selected trench for excavation Edit the selected trench Clear the selected trench (creates flat plane) 4 Edit the trench using the following keys: Move between the active nodes Use the number pad to enter X and Z values of the points Select active node for editing Move the node left or right (+/- X) Move the node up or down (+/- Z) Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 17 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1

X200 Concept Hints! When the machine is tracked, move the Laser Catcher through the Laser Plane again to re-acquire the laser reference. The length of time for system to re-reference depends on the operator-configured number of laser strikes. Move stick laser receiver through laser plane! To confirm accuracy of the setup of the Flat Plane and Laser Reference, place bucket tooth near survey stake and ensure the value = 0, and the bucket appears to be on or near the ground. The excavation depth should be the target depth line shown on the screen. With bucket at the survey reference = 0 Excavation depth shown as target depth (red line)! If strobe lights or other lasers are causing your system to rereference unintentionally, increase the value for the Set number of strikes for reference from 3 to 20 Press Bucket Then Press Laser Re-reference Then enter a laser reference Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 21 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1

X200 Concept Hints (continued)! When mass excavating, re-reference the laser before final cut, as the excavator may have settled during digging Level Pre mass excavating Not Level Post mass excavating Re-level and re-reference before final cut! If using the flat plane with a laser reference, you can use target depths for other flat planes in the design: Target Depth = -2.0 (deepest area of cut) Target Depth = -1.5 (an area in the design.5 higher) This moves the red target line On the Main screen, press Target Depth, then enter a target depth (-2 m or -1 m)! If using the flat plane with a laser reference, check the depth by setting a laser catcher on a survey pole at the following: Depth Check = Laser Height + Excavation Depth Move laser catcher the Excavation Depth distance Depth Check: Laser Height + Excavation Depth Laser Height Surveyed Reference Point Excavation Depth Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 22 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1

X200 Concept Hints (continued)! If you desire a target line at the depth you are excavating and the to be 0.00 on the screen upon hitting the depth, set both the Bench Elevation and the target depth to the same number, just opposite in sign. 2.5 to excavate -2.5 target depth line On the Main screen, press Bench Elevation, then enter a bench elevation (2.5m) On the Main screen, press Target Depth, then enter a target depth (-2.5m) Earthworks X200 Quick Reference Guide 23 PN 875-0267-000 Rev A1
