The performance will be held at The Coeur d Alene Salvation Army Kroc Center on Tuesday, July 3 rd at 6:00PM. Please read this information in this packet very carefully and be sure to add all dates and times to your family s calendar. All schedules and details included are very important. Well-informed parents can help the performance run smoothly and be less stressful for everyone! Any alterations are the responsibility of the parent. DTNW does not provide alterations. Costumes should NOT be worn for any reason except Picture Day, Dress Rehearsal, and Performances. Costumes CANNOT be replaced if lost or damaged. Dancers should wear a cover-up over their costume when waiting to rehearse/perform. A bathrobe or over-sized button up shirt works well. Shirts that must be pulled over the head will not work, as they may mess up hair/make up. UNDERGARMENTS- Please purchase a nude/flesh toned leotard, or bra and panty set, to wear under costumes, No colorful undergarments may be showing. You can purchase a nude colored leotard or bra & panties from Happy Dance in Post Falls, Discount Dance or Curtain Call for Class. Bras & Leotards MUST have clear straps.

3 P a g e COSTUME INFORMATION (CONTINUED) TIGHTS/SHOES- Specific tights that are purchased through DTNW must be worn for all dances. Please purchase any extra tights you may need from the front desk as soon as possible. Our last order before picture week will be placed June 1 st. We recommend having an extra pair of tights on hand, just in case! Below is a list of what each class should have o Tap & Ballet (3-4yrs) Suntan footed tights and black tap shoes o Tap & Ballet (5-7yrs) Pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes, and black tap shoes o Jazz: Beginning Suntan footed tights and suntan jazz shoes o Ballet: Beginning Pink footed tights and pink ballet shoes o Hip Hop Beginning Suntan footed tights and black hip hop shoes FINALE COSTUME All dancers will participate in our finale dance. Dancers will wear the last costume and shoes they danced in. MAKE-UP/HAIR We suggest that all dancers wear some make-up. Foundation, blush, lipstick that compliments their skin tone will help make sure they don t look washed out from all the lighting on stage. NO NAIL POLISH PLEASE! SCHEDULES & DETAILS PICTURE WEEK- POST FALLS DANCE STUDIO 780 N. Cecil Rd. Post Falls, ID 83854 Pictures will be taken on Tuesday, June 19 th from 5pm-8pm. Order forms will be provided in advance with a price list. Please have your order forms filled out, in addition to payment ready before your class picture time. o Picture week is Tuesday, June 19 th at the Post Falls Dance Studio. The schedule is listed below. We have listed the class name/day/time as well as their song name to help you out. o Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Be dressed in your first costume, with hair and make-up done. DO NOT plan on doing hair and make-up at the Post Falls Dance Studio. o All classes will wear the proper shoes for their class. If your dancer is in a combo class (tap & ballet) please wear your tap shoes 1 st. o Dancers will take individual photos (if you are ordering) and a group photo.

4 P a g e SCHEDULES & DETAILS PICTURE WEEK (CONTINUED) o Students with more than one costume will be able to change in the available dressing rooms. o Due to the busy nature of this event, only the dancer and one parent are allowed to attend. No siblings please o Parents must wait in the designated seating area. Parents aren t allowed in the area where the photographer is. o Please no food or drink in the dressing rooms or studio. Order forms will be handed out in class o All orders must be turned in on the day of your child s scheduled pictures, along with payment. Late orders will be subject to late fees. o Dancers should come to their class picture day even if parents do not plan on ordering prints so that all dancers will be in the group photo. o Pictures will be handed out at our Recital. Please make sure you stop at the check-in area to grab your child s pictures. Any pictures left over after the performances will be brought to the studio for pick up. o The PICTURE WEEK schedule is below. If your dancer is in more than one dance or needs extra help backstage, it is your responsibility to find someone to help him/her backstage, remember no one is allowed in or out of the doors during a performance, this person must be able to be backstage during the entire act and must be on our backstage volunteer list.

No one other than dancers will be allowed in the theater during dress rehearsals! If a dancer misses dress rehearsal, they will not be allowed to perform in the recital! Dressing rooms will be open 20 minutes prior to show time. On performance day, dancers must wear a cover up or street clothes to enter the theater; The surprise of your costume is more exciting for the audience this way! Please do not plan on doing make-up and hair backstage. Please label all shoes, everyone s shoes look the same! Dancers must arrive at the theater 20 minutes before show time. o Dancers will stay in the dressing rooms for the duration of the performances and during intermission, so please make sure they eat before they come or provide healthy, nonmessy, snacks. o There will be designated volunteers with each class to help with costume changes, hair, make-up, etc. If you are not a volunteer, you will not be allowed in the dressing rooms. o To keep the dressing rooms organized, we recommend having your child s belongings in a tote or a large plastic container labeled with the student s name. o These are NOT the actual performance line-ups. You will receive the actual line-ups at a later date.

Parents must receive a lanyard for themselves and their dancer at the check-in table. A volunteer will escort dancers to their dressing room. Parents who are NOT volunteers are NOT allowed in the dressing rooms. Dancers should be dressed in their first costume, with hair and make-up done. Dancers must stay for the duration of the show; no early pickups will be allowed. Dancers will not be allowed to leave the dressing areas during intermission for safety. After each performance, all dancers will head back to the dressing rooms. Parents will need to check their dancer(s) out before they can leave. Volunteers will stay in the dressing rooms until each dancer is checked out. Please remember there are dancers changing in the dressing rooms, so NO MEN are allowed in the girl s dressing rooms, and NO WOMEN are allowed in the boys dressing room. Below are the times for drop-off.. Tuesday, July 3 rd - 6pm performance drop-off between 5:30pm-5:40pm WHAT TO BRING TO THE PERFORMANCES All costumes, shoes, tights, undergarments, accessories, & make up. Label EVERYTHING. Cover up to wear while you are waiting to perform. Closable water bottle with your name on it. Healthy, non-messy snacks in a container that is re-sealable. Quiet, clean activities to keep students occupied, such as coloring/reading books (NO MARKERS), simple board games (easily cleaned up, not a lot of tiny pieces, etc.) cards, etc. Lost/stolen items are not the responsibility of DTNW or CDA KROC Center.

Advance online purchase of Tickets are $15.00 each for general seating. Door price to purchase Tickets are $20.00 each for general seating. ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS ON PUCHASING TICKETS 1. If prompted, enter your 5 digit Priority Access Code (THIS IS FOR VOUNTEERS AND CLASS MOMS ONLY for your early PRIORTY SALE) 5. On the right side of the screen, you can click "Buy Selected Seats" 6. Choose the merchandise you would like to add to your purchase, then click "Continue to checkout" at the bottom of the screen 7. Enter the details on the checkout screen to complete your purchase 8. 9 P a g e Dance Theatre Northwest DTNW HIGHLY recommends you purchase an extra pair of tights for your dancer. We are offering them at a discounted price of $10. Please remember that we will NOT HAVE extra recital tights backstage if your dancer rips her tights. This is your responsibility to have an extra pair. This extra pair must be the exact tights that are furnished with your costume. These tights are Revolution Brand, any tights other than the Revolution Brand tights may NOT be worn with recital costumes.
