Fairhope Soccer Club Tots Curriculum Tots Session Week 1 Topic: Motor Development / Dribbling Warm Up: 10-12 minutes Coach will demonstrate activities. Player s will repeat activity for approx. 20 seconds. Activities without a ball Include: Hopping, jumping, and Balancing. Activities with a ball include: Ball handling- ball around waist, bounce catch, throw catch, thigh catch, and head catch. Finally have players dribbling to end warm up. Introduce toe touches. Activity 1 10-12 minutes Red Light Green Light Players will dribble around the area performing activities that will be introduced by the coach. Game 4v4 Small Sided Game 25 minutes Game allowing players to use new skills. Warm up Relaxing introduction Balance Coordination Fun Dribbling Ball Mastery Changing Speed Awareness Control Fun Dribbling Changing speed & Direction Ball Mastery Awareness Control FUN All players must be accompanied by their parent/guardian for the warm up and activities.

Warm up Relaxing introduction Balance Coordination Ball Mastery Fun Dribbling Ball Mastery Balance & Control Thinking FUN Dribbling Changing speed & Direction Ball Mastery Awareness Control FUN All players must be accompanied by their parent/guardian for the warm up and activities.

Activities without a ball Include: Hopping, jumping, and Balancing. Activities with a ball include: Ball handling- ball around waist, bounce catch, throw catch, thigh catch, and head catch. Finally have players dribbling to end warm up. Introduce skills (drag back, inside hook and outside hook), and include commands to change dribbling speeds. Warm up Relaxing introduction Balance Coordination Ball Mastery Fun Activity 1 Color Code 10-12 minutes Players dribbling and listening to commands, including color commands. Each line of the grid is a different color. When coach calls the color player must dribble to that line. Encourage players to change direction using the skills introduced in the warm up- drag back etc..) Dribbling Ball Mastery Balance & Control Thinking FUN Game 4v4 Small Sided Game 25 minutes Game allowing players to play freely and use skills. Dribbling Changing speed & Direction Ball Mastery Awareness Control FUN All players must be accompanied by their parent/guardian for the warm up and activities.

Tot Session- Week 4 Topic: Dribbling / Changing Speed & Direction (introduce competition) Warm up 10-12 minutes Coach will demonstrate activities. Player s will repeat activity for approx. 20 seconds. Activities without a ball Include: Hopping, jumping, and Balancing. Activities with a ball include: Ball handling- ball around waist, bounce catch, throw catch, thigh catch, and head catch. Finally have players dribbling to end warm up. Introduce skills (drag back, inside hook and outside hook), and include commands to change dribbling speeds. Include named moves: Scissors, Step over, Cruyff etc.. Activity: Gate Game 10-12 minutes Players dribbling around and must dribble through as many gates as possible. Gates are of varied size- to allow all players to be successful. Ask a few parents to move from gate to gate to prevent players from passing through. Encourage players to dribble to the open gate, using skills to change direction. Warm up Relaxing introduction Balance Coordination Ball Mastery Fun Dribbling Ball Mastery Balance & Control Thinking Awareness FUN Game Dribbling 4v4 Small Sided Game Changing speed & Direction 25 minutes Ball Mastery Awareness Game allowing players to play freely and use Control skills. FUN Players may now be comfortable to do activities without parent involvement!

Activities without a ball Include: Hopping, jumping, and Balancing. Activities with a ball include: Ball handling- ball around waist, bounce catch, throw catch, thigh catch, and head catch. Finally have players dribbling to end warm up. Introduce skills (drag back, inside hook and outside hook), and include commands to change dribbling speeds. Include named moves: Scissors, Step over, Cruyff etc.. Activity: Passing Gate Game Players will need their parent to play this activity. They are expected to pass the ball to each other through the gates. The encourage them to pass then move to another gate. Introduce different passing techniques (inside of foot, outside of foot and laces).
