Thank you to all who exhibited at last year s Show; we hope to see you all again this August. Showing is both time consuming and expensive and we appreciate the support and professionalism that you bring not only to the show ring but also to making our Grand Parade one of the best. Schedules and entry forms are now available for Cattle, Sheep, Sheep Shearing & Wool, Horses, Show Jumping, Industrial & Horticultural Sections, Vintage Show, Truck Show, Feather Section, Highland Dancing and Crop Competition at www.keithshow.org.uk or contact me as below for printed copies. The Annual Stockjudging competition, kindly sponsored by the Seafield Veterinary Group, is on Sunday 23rd July at Gibston Farm, Keith, hosted by the Murphy Family. Starting at 1pm there are Classes for individuals, teams and young farmers. Beginners are very welcome and there will be plenty of folk to explain what to do. There will be some fun Classes, a raffle, bar and delicious food. So please come along for an enjoyable afternoon and a good blether. We are delighted that we are again hosting the Simmers Contracts Scottish Beef Cattle Championship, which is very generously sponsored by Simmers Contracts of Backmuir, Keith. The competition is open to Beef Champions from all Scottish Shows and attracts entries from across Scotland, providing a terrific and show stopping spectacle. The Rare & Minority Breed Sheep Sections, Primitive & Northern and Rare, Hill & Upland, introduced last year proved to be very well supported and also boosted the Wool entries. It was good to see that quite a few of the sheep competitors had halter trained their sheep and joined the Grand Parade. In the Main Arena on Sunday morning there will be the Horse Showing Classes with Show Jumping in the afternoon in the Horse Arena, to enable those showing in the morning to have a go at the jumping in the afternoon. The Gypsy Cob section is a qualifier for the TGCE National Championships and there are Bright Star Qualifiers for the BSPS Summer Championships and we are also a Veteran Horse Society Qualifier. On Monday, the Ridden Clydesdales are a qualifier 5

for the 2017 Blair Horse Trials and the Clydesdale Horse Young Handler will qualify for the 2018 Royal Highland Show. On Sunday there will be the popular Poultry Section, along with Highland Dancing, Balloch Hill Race, Children s Races, Pets Parade, Tug o War and the very well supported Vintage and Truck Shows. An action packed programme is lined up for the Main Arena on both days, with highlights on Sunday: the thrilling antics of Jamie Squibb Stuntworld and the excitement of the Pony Club Games, Horse Parade, Vintage and Truck Parade and Massed Pipe Bands and on Monday: we have Jamie Squibb Stuntworld, along with the spectacle of the Simmers Contracts Scottish Beef Championship, the Grand Parade and massed Pipe Bands. On both days there will be a fantastic display of horticultural, industrial and craft exhibits along with the Banffshire Federation SWI exhibits all within the industrial marquee. The Trade Stand Area and also the Food Fayre, Craft Fair and Lifestyle marquees will be packed with a wide choice of goods on sale, along with a delicious range of catering stands and refreshment areas. A huge thank you has to be extended to the many businesses and individuals who support the Show through generous sponsorship and donations. Their contribution is essential to the Show and is greatly appreciated. There is a wide range of sponsorship packages available and any committee member will be happy to provide details.
