DAILY HELISKIING We offer a range of heliski/boarding options to match your abilities and goals with our skilled guides and terrain. Choose the right option for you or call us and we can advise you on a package to suit. With a ratio of 4-5 clients to 1 guide, grouped together with people of similar ability, you will have a day you ll never forget. All prices include: guides, landing fees, lunch, DOC fees, use of safety equipment, and transfers. All you need to bring is yourself, your equipment, sunscreen, a camera, water, a great attitude and we will provide the rest. Perfect for first timers, intermediates and up. Powder experience not required, just an appetite for adventure and fun. Advanced intermediate skiers and boarders who have powder experience will love this package. PRIVATE CHARTERS A private charter heliski day, is the ultimate in personalised heliskiing. Suited to smaller groups of 4-5 and film crews, Private Charters give you all the freedom you desire. Our packages are created to suit your specific needs, abilities, expectations and budget. It is common on most Bronze and Silver Private Charters to get more than ten runs in a day. For larger groups of 8-10 we offer Gold Semi Private Charters and if you desire unrestricted vertical then try our Unlimited Private Charter. Talk to our team to get the most out of your day. SIMPLE, EASY, PERFECT! Your heliski day is an all-inclusive package with door to door service from your accommodation in Queenstown or Wanaka. Safety is our number one priority and the guides will issue you with an avalanche transceiver, teaching you all you need to know to ensure your safety in the mountains. Finally, accompanied by your guide and group, you will set off for the thrill of your life! After a few runs, lunch will be served, a buffet style of hot and cold cuisine right there in the mountains! A few more runs to tire you out and then we will happily get you back to your accommodation returning all your rental gear so you can relax and revel in your wonderful day. BOOKINGS: PAYMENT: We do advise booking in advance within our busy season from July through to September. We are flexible with our options and your ideas, so come in to the heli shops and see us. Full payment must be made the day prior to you flying. FAQ S DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERT SKIER OR SNOWBOARDER? No, if you can comfortably ski or ride an intermediate run you will be capable of heliskiing. EQUIPMENT: Suitable equipment is essential. We recommend everyone uses powder skis or board. Ask our advice on current conditions and rental options prior to flying. SNOW REPORTS: MERCHANDISE/PHOTOS: A snow report is regularly updated and is available on our website or posted outside our heli shops in Wanaka and Queenstown. Come and talk to our staff and get professional advice on the weather and snow conditions. A wide range of merchandise is available from caps and hoodies to soft shell jackets and more, just ask our staff or check out the range at our booking office or online. Our guides provide a photo service subject to availability and safety. HOW LONG ARE THE RUNS? Our average runs are three times the length of a local ski field run, and some are a lot longer! WHAT ALTITUDE WILL I BE SKIING OR RIDING AT? The best powder snow is between 2585m to 1200m. We usually get anywhere from 600-1000m vertical on each run. CANCELLATIONS: REFUNDS: A full refund is given if cancellation is made 24hrs before the day you are booked to go. Unfortunately sometimes bad weather prevents our operation. Should this occur, all payments will be fully refunded. If some heliskiing has been possible, but due to the weather you had fewer runs than you booked for; the value of refund offered will be determined by the package purchased. Refunds are not given due to injury, lack of ability, fitness or cancellations on the day. Is heliskiing a full day activity? Yes, your day will start at 7.30am with a confirmation phone call and end anytime from 4.30pm. DO I NEED SPECIAL SKIS/SNOWBOARD? For skiers we recommend powder skis. Talk to us about rental options upon booking. Boarders can use their normal board, but set into a free ride stance. SAFETY: Safety is first and foremost to our operation. Our specialist guides have the skills and ability to provide you with an exciting safe memorable day in the mountains. In addition to their people skills they are equipped with technical knowledge and safety equipment that ensures you are safe as possible in the back country. Because they have years of experience in our vast terrain they are able to forecast hazards and select the right terrain for your ability. Our guides are trained in avalanche hazard evaluation, weather analysis and emergency medical techniques. Every person is issued with an avalanche transceiver and taught how to use it.
