After Tulsa plated a pair in the 5 th to take a 4-3 lead, the Cards tied it with an RBI double from RF Granden Goetzman in the 6 th. The Drillers scored one to move back in front in the bottom of the 6 th, before an RBI triple from Goetzman tied it in the 8 th. After Tulsa again took a one-run lead in the bottom of the 8 th, 3B Evan Mendoza tied it at 6-6 with a two-out RBI double in the 9 th. However, the Drillers worked four walks around a pair of strikeouts in the bottom of the 9 th, walking off when Bawcom took a game-winning free pass to force home LF Zach Reks. 1 st -Half Battle With just two games remaining in the First Half, the Travs find themselves on the brink of clinching the First Half Title, currently holding a 1.0-game lead over the Naturals and Drillers. If both the Naturals and Drillers win tonight, it would create the first-ever three-way tie for the First Half Title, which would be decided as the teams play each other for the first time in the Second Half. The First Half Champions in each division guarantee a playoff berth. The Cardinals look toward the start of the Second Half on Tuesday in Tulsa, when records reset. All-Star Cards The Texas League has announced the rosters for the 2018 Texas League All-Star Game, with seven Springfield Cardinals selected to the North Division Team in OF Lane Thomas, OF Victor Roache, INF Tommy Edman, RHP Connor Jones and RHP Jake Woodford, along with RHP Chris Ellis and RHP Conner Greene, both of whom are in AAA-Memphis. The All-Star Game is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26 in Midland. The San Diego, CA native has hits in 21 of those 23 games, tallying a.354 average (34x96) with three homers, 11 RBIs, five doubles and 19 runs during his excellent stretch, increasing his average from.239 to.282 since 5/21. Increasingly aggressive on the bases of late, he has swiped nine bags in his last 12 games without being caught once, going 13-for-15 in steals this year. A Grand week OF Granden Goetzman continued a terrific week on Sunday with a game-tying RBI double in the 6 th and a game-tying RBI triple in the 8 th. He is on a five-game hitting streak with one double in each of those five games, going 8x18 with five doubles, a triple and three RBIs.
