It is also the fourth time St. Norbert and Monmouth have met in a MWC Championship game. The two met three consecutive seasons from 1987-89, with the Green Knights winning all three times. About the Green Knights: St. Norbert enters the game 9-0 overall after finishing the Midwest Conference North Division schedule 5-0. St. Norbert rallied from a 16-7 halftime deficit to beat Macalester 25-16 this past Saturday in St. Paul, Minn. The Green Knights enter the week ranked No. 18 in the AFCA Division III Top 25 Poll. Senior running back Brad Boockmeier holds the team rushing lead with 664 yards on 135 carries and five touchdowns. Sophomore running back Elijah Fort has 636 yards rushing on 114 carries with 16 touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Jack Becker has completed 112 of 171 passes for 1,313 yards and nine touchdowns with four interceptions while rushing for 397 yards on 67 carries and five touchdowns. Junior wide receiver Zach Reeves has caught 32 passes for 368 yards, while sophomore wide receiver Brett Olson has 20 catches for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Senior linebacker R.J. Callow leads the Green Knights in tackles with 64. Senior linebacker Wyatt Veseth has 59 tackles, and is the reigning MWC Defensive Player of the Week. Senior linebacker Jacob Wells 52 stops, while junior defensive back Ryan Grandlic has 49 tackles. Senior defensive back Frank Laterza has a team-high six interceptions, while Grandlic has four. St. Norbert is averaging 35.3 points and 422.3 yards per game. Defensively, the Green Knights are allowing 10.2 points and 270.1 yards per game. St. Norbert s scoring defense is currently sixth in Division III. About the Fighting Scots: Monmouth enters the game 8-1 overall and cruised to the Midwest Conference South Division title with a 5-0 record. The Scots are coming off a 49-7 win over Knox this past Saturday. Monmouth s only loss this season came in a 23-17 overtime setback to Central on Sept. 12. Junior quarterback Tanner Matlick directs the Monmouth offense, completing 160 of 252 passes for 1,882 yards with 17 touchdowns and three interceptions. Matlick has also rushed for 420 yards on 87 carries and six touchdowns. Freshman running back DeAndre Wright has rushed 77 times for 594 yards and seven touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Easton Schaber has caught 44 passes for 441 yards, while junior wide receiver Brock Thoms has 38 receptions for 422 yards. Deep threat Adam Parr, a senior wide receiver who was second in the 100- meter dash at the MWC Outdoor Track Championship in May, has 16 catches for 413 yards and six touchdowns. Junior linebacker Matt Barnes leads the Scots with 83 tackles, while sophomore defensive back Micam Smith has 48 tackles. Freshman defensive lineman Thomas Lesniewski has 36 tackles with 13.5 tackles-for-loss and 11 quarterback sacks. Monmouth is averaging 37.1 points and 444.0 yards per game. Defensively, the Scots are allowing 11.9 points and 249.1 yards per game. Chipper Chatter: The 2015 Midwest Conference championship game marks the final year in a two-year cycle where the North and South divisional winners will meet for the conference title. The MWC will return to a modified round-robin schedule in 2016 with the departure of Carroll to the CCIW.
