The Membership Committee, Board of Directors and Club Management are proud to announce the increase in our Initiation Fees effective April 1, 2018. This decision was made based on the facility improvements over the last few years, the growth in membership and the recent recognition in Avid Golfer as the Best Country Club in mid-range pricing in the DFW area. The new Initiation Fee for Full Privilege Membership will increase from $20,000 to $40,000; Social Membership Initiation Fee will increase from $3,000 to $5,000; Young Executive Tier One (21-34 years) Initiation Fee will increase from $3,500 to $5,000 and our Young Executive Tier Two (35-39 years) Initiation Fee will increase from $6,000 to $8,000. Golf Course Maintenance Mike Epps Golf Course Superintendent Happy Valentine s day! 2018 is off to a very cold start with a low of 6 degrees on January 17, 2018. The great thing about North Texas weather is that one day you are bundled up by the fire place and then a few days later you re out playing golf wearing a wind breaker thinking it s spring. The cold weather has the grass fully dormant and the greens rolling great. We have been busy trimming trees and Crepe Myrtles and have been using a tree trimming company to help with the tree work. During January, we trimmed up holes 11, 13, 15, and 16 as we ve been working to restore and improve sight lines and golf shot possibilities. We will also be working on removing dead trees and then continue with our general cleanup of over growth. The crepe myrtles have also been getting their normal clean up and structural pruning. We will also be stump grinding and back filling any stumps from trees that had to be removed on the course this past year. There are a few drainage projects, irrigation head leveling, and cleanup projects on the list over the next two months. The goal is to continue to improve the course and your playing experience. The picture above is on hole fourteen on a beautiful frosty morning at sunrise. 2018 is set to be a great year and we will have the golf course ready for you and your guest. As always I hope to see you out on the golf course soon, and my goal is to have the course in the best condition possible every day for your enjoyment. If you have any questions or concerns please call or e-mail me (817-294-6615, mepps@miravistacountryclub.com ) or come ride the course with me, I ll buy the coffee. Thank you, Mike Epps Golf Course Superintendent February Friday Night Live
