ENTRY FEE: $20.00 WALK - TROT DIVISION NEHC C Rated,, CHJA Recognized classes 25,26,27 only Open to riders 10 years and under who have not competed in any class requiring them to canter or jump at a recognized show. WALK-TROT PLEASURE BEGINNER 11 AND OVER EQUITATION This division is open to all riders 11 and over, Junior and Adults, who have never cantered in a recognized show. Once a rider canters in a show they may not go back to this division, but must go on to divisions that require a canter. Entries to be shown at the walk and trot going both directions. Will be judged on the basis of fundamentals of equitation. CHAMPIONSHIP AND RESERVE RIBBONS AWARDED 300, 301,302. BEGINNER 11 AND OVER EQUITATION SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION DIVISION,NEHC C Rated; CHJA, Limited to riders 12 years and under who have never competed over fences exceeding 18" in a recognized show. Riders showing in this division may not compete in any other recognized division or recognized class in a show with fences exceeding 18" with the exception of pleasure and pet-type pony classes. At the same show, riders may not cross enter into Children's Equitation, Children's Pony Hunter, Pony Hunters, any Medal classes that exceed 2' or any class where fences exceed 2'6". May enter only one Medal class per show. Judge may require additional testing, using current USA Eq. tests 1-8 for Children and Pony Medal, test 1-19 for Junior and Adult Medals. 73. To be shown at a walk, trot, and canter. Will be required to back. Shall be judged on manners, performance and quality, in that order. Cash winnings do not influence this classification. Riders may not compete in any other class at the same competition where fences exceed 1.15m (3 9"). AVON VALLEY SHOW STABLES RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Entries close the day before show date. Post entries accepted the day of the show at an additional $20.00 per entry form. 2. The Show Committee reserves the right to cancel, vary or combine, any classes if in its judgment, the entries so indicate. If the area of the courtesy circle is to be restricted by a mandatory line, the line will be indicated on the diagram and a corresponding barrier will be erected on the course. 3. No entry fee will be returned because of withdrawal of a contestant after closing of entries except where an entry, through injury or illness, is unable to exhibit. In such cases, all unused entry fees will be returned upon receipt of a veterinarian certificate. 4. Every class offered herein which is recognized by the USHJA, PHA, CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC will be conducted and judged in accordance with the current USHJA, PHA, CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC rules. In order to compete for USHJA, PHA, CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC annual horse awards, the owner of the horse or pony must be a member of the USHJA, PHA, CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC and the horse or pony must be registered with the CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC. In order to compete in CHJA and NEHC Medal classes, riders must be members of those respective organizations.. 5. New England Horseman s Council Rules shall supersede any State Rules for NEHC points to count. All specifications not covered in these regulations shall be in accordance with Rules of the USEF in which NEHC is an affiliate member. At any show affiliated with the USEF, the rules of that organization shall prevail over these Regulations. 6. To be eligible for stake classes, horses must have competed in a least one other class over fences in that division. By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of the Competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the Competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable-casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the Competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the Competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. Should any questions or disputes arise, it shall be referred to the Show Committee whose decision shall be final. 8. The prize list reflects the current USEF rule changes. Class descriptions are no longer required as they are already printed in the USEF Rule Book. It is felt that the exhibitor, as well as the management, should be familiar with the USEF rules. If you are not a member and have any questions concerning this prize list, please phone for clarification. Classes not covered in the USEF Rule Book will be conducted under USHJA, PHA, CHJA, CHSA and/or NEHC Rules. Class descriptions of CHJA classes, as well as CHJA membership applications, will be available at the secretary s office. 9.The Committee reserves the right to change the location of classes and to alter courses and/or fences, or to change the show schedule as it seems necessary. 10. Prize money: Will be applied towards entry fees. If prize money is not applied, and the error is detected after the show, then that entry shall receive a credit at the next Avon Valley Show Stables Horse Show they attend. The Horse Show will not stop payment or duplicate checks for lost prize money. 11. All classes will be judged on performance and soundness unless other wise noted. 12. Jumping orders of all classes will be established according to USEF rules. 13. Hunter Championship and Reserve Ribbons to be awarded to two of the four horses scoring the most points over fences. Only those four horses will receive full points for the Under Saddle Class. 2012

Federation Entry Agreement I have read the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) Entry Agreement (GR906.4) as printed in the Prize List for this Competition and agree to all of its provisions. I understand and agree that by entering this Competition, I am subject to Federation Rules, Prize List, and local rules of the competition. I agree to waive the right to the use of my photos at the competition, and agree that any actions against the Federation must be brought in New York State. Federation Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Indemnification This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following: I AGREE that the Federation and Competition as used herein includes the Licensee and Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and Federation affiliates including, but not limited to NEHC, CHSA, CHJA, M&S League and Ryegate Show Services. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death. ( Harm ). I AGREE to hold harmless and release the Federation and the Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition. I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the Federation and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse while at the Competition. I have read the Federation Rules about protective equipment, including GR801 and if applicable, EV114, and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the Federation strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child s behalf. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. I AGREE that if I am injured at this competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to the Federation on the official USEF accident/injury report form.
