Operating Instructions Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product. General Operating Instructions 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Formed metal can be sharp, wear heavy duty work gloves and ANSI-approved safety goggles when working with the English wheel. Place a Bottom Die (12-01, 12-02, 12-03, 12-04, 12-05) appropriate for the job into the Bottom Yoke (5). Turn the Hand Wheel (10) to raise or lower the Bottom Yoke for correct clearance (pinching) of the metal between the two dies. Tighten the Screw (23) to fix the Lead Screw in place. It is better to have a loose pinch than a tight one. A tight pinch will make it harder to push the metal through the Dies, and may cause unwanted creasing. A loose pinch makes it easier to push the metal through with more ac curacy but may take more passes to form the metal. Begin forming the metal by pushing and pulling it between the Top Die and Bottom Die. When the metal is formed, wipe the English Wheel down with a clean cloth.
