The Ripken Experience GENERAL INFORMATION TEAM INSURANCE Each team is required to carry its own insurance and submit a certificate of insurance to The Ripken Experience prior to the beginning of the tournament. The certificate must list our legal entity, Extra Bases, LLC, as additional insured. The address to our facility is 3051 Ripken Way Blvd,, SC 29577. No team will be allowed to play until we have that information and it is verified. Team Waiver Each team is required to have all of their player s sign a Team Waiver Form. For High School teams, the waiver form must be signed by a parent or guardian. SCHEDULE REQUEST Enclosed please find a schedule request form. Please keep in mind this is only a request. Please return the schedule request form by email or fax no later than Friday, November 18. Schedules will be ready by Monday, January 23, 2016. NO ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS Absolutely no alcohol or tobacco products will be permitted inside The Ripken Experience complex. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in being asked to leave from the complex. BIG LEAGUE GRILL / CONCESSIONS The Ripken Experience offers a variety of food and beverage options for your convenience. The Big League Grill in the main building is a great place to grab some hot food including hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, pretzels, chicken tenders and more. Team meal options are available through the Big League Grill. (Enclosed is a pre-order team meal form. If eating on-site it is recommended to pre-order your food). PRO SHOP / MERCHANDISE The Ripken Experience merchandise will be on sale throughout each tournament. The pro shop will carry a limited amount of spring training t-shirts. Enclosed is a pre-order t-shirt form. BASEBALLS / EQUIPMENT Game balls will be provided by The Ripken Experience for all games. Teams are to bring their own practice balls. Ripken will provide a cooler in each dugout with ice water and cups for each game. All other baseball/softball and safety equipment is the responsibility of each team. The batting cages are not equipped with electricity. PARKING There is plenty of FREE parking available for all visitors at The Ripken Experience. ADMISSION Admission to all of The Ripken Experience tournaments is included in the entry fee. There will be NO GATE FEE for any of our events! We encourage family and friends to come to the complex to cheer on the athletes and show their support. All NCAA Games will be 9 innings, unless the same two teams play a doubleheader in which case both games will be 7 innings. The grounds crew will get 10 minutes to prepare the field for the game. Each team will get 10 minutes of infield/outfield providing the weather and schedule dictate. Home team will be listed first on the master schedule, and occupy the 1st base dugout. 2017 SPRING TRAINING ACCOMMODATIONS Myrtlewood Villas: CHECK-IN TIME = 4:00PM CHECK OUT TIME = 10:00AM *Units may be spread out. Myrtlewood Villas will make every effort possible to keep teams together, but there is a chance the units will be spread out. The Ripken Experience A credit card is required at check-in for damage purposes. Any missing items or damages that occur will be charged to the credit card. MWV is a Condo Community, rooms tend to be larger than hotel rooms, with more amenities inside. However, they do not come with daily housekeeping, additional toiletries, etc. Some things you may want to bring: additional towels, personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, bath tissue, laundry detergent, and general cleaning supplies. Starter supplies will be provided to get you through the first day or two. They include: two rolls of toilet paper, bath soap, trash bags, two dishwasher packs, and coffee. Each condo unit is fully furnished and includes: Starter Towels (We recommend bringing additional towels) Linens (Pillows, sheets, blankets) Washers and Dryers (Laundry Detergent is not included) Full Kitchen (Microwave, Oven, Utensils, Pots, Pans, etc) 2 Full Bathrooms Outdoor Pool Cable Television Your team will be placed in either 2 or 3 bedroom condos depending on your numbers. Each player and coach will have their own bed. 2 bedroom condos = 5 players/per condo (4 twin beds and 1 pullout couch). 3 bedroom condos = 7 players/per condo (6 twin beds and 1 pullout couch). 2-4 Coaches = 2 bedroom Condo 5-6 Coaches = 3 bedroom Condo Myrtlewood Villas: Hours of Operation (Front Desk) Monday Saturday 9:00am 9:00pm Sunday 8:00am 6:00pm If you are arriving outside of the above hours, the front desk will be closed. You can still check in using the after-hours system. Your keys will be left in the drop box (located on the outside of the Myrtlewood Villas office building). You must arrange this through MWV before arriving. The Ripken Experience Buses are allowed to pick-up and drop-off on Wild Iris Drive only. Buses must stay on Wild Iris Drive. Under no circumstances can the bus enter other side streets off of Wild Iris Drive. It is recommended that the bus driver stay at a local hotel.
