VACGEN Product Overview
WHY CHOOSE US? In 1964 the Vacuum Generators company was formed in East Grinstead, UK, by Dr Bernard Eastwell and Vic Treasure with a single product - the CR38 all metal right angled valve. Over the past 50 years we have grown to become the world s most recognised name in UHV Technology with a range spanning over 2000 products. We develop and supply the complete spectrum of UHV components, from the most basic gaskets and flanges through to bespoke turnkey assemblies to suit our clients demands. THE VALUE OF PARTNERSHIP In any business you have to be confident in the partners you choose to provide mission critical technology, equipment and services. We understand that it is important for you to know that your chosen partners can deliver and support you with what you need, when you need it. With the demanding needs of todays scientific industry we at VACGEN provide a depth of knowledge and experience within our company to ensure you have the right technical support you need and a complete UHV single source solution adding value to your business operations. WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU MAKE THE NEXT LEAP FORWARD
UHV Flanges UHV Fittings Conflat flanges are designed to achieve repeatable UHV. With a low leak rate and the ability to withstand the high temperatures required for degassing (up to 450 C). Our range of 304L and 316LN CF flanges are fully compatible with internationally agreed standards. UHV fittings manufactured from either 304L and 316LN stainless steel, supporting the construction of complex systems and assemblies.
Gaskets Viewports Avalible in a variety of materials for HV and UHV applications. To make a leak tight seal between two conflat flanges, a gasket is required. OFHC (oxygen free high conductivity) plain or silver plated copper are used to achieve UHV with a wide temperature range and a low outgassing rate. UHV compatible viewports to suit all clean and UHV applications. Offering a wide angle of vision, maximum protection from accidental damage and minimum transmission of strain from flange bolts. Available in 304L and 316LN with a variety of viewport materials including fused silica and sapphire.
Rotary Platforms Z-Axis Manipulators Differentially pumped rotary feedthroughs (DPRF) allow the airside flange to continuously rotate whilst the mounting flange is attached to the chamber. The vacuum seal is maintained by a secondary vacuum pumped interspace. Three versions of DPRF are available; coarse, manual high precision, and motorised high precision. Z-Axis manipulators provide a controlled motion, allowing samples and probes to be inserted with high accuracy and stability into a vacuum envelope. They can be used as an individual component, or as part of a larger manipulation array.
Vacuum Valves Feedthroughs Dependable UHV valves form a critical part of any UHV apparatus and VACGEN has, for fifty years, built right angled, gas handling and leak valves, that have been trusted to preform year after year. UHV electrical power and instrumentation feedthroughs for integrating into systems. Instrumentation feedthroughs are designed to carry smaller electrical signals, including thermocouple outputs, into and out of the vacuum. sales@vacgen.com www.vacgen.com +44 (0) 1424 856 333
Transfer and Transport Devices Magnetic Linear & Rotary Drives There are many different methods of sample transfer under vacuum, each device having its own particular advantages. We provide an extensive range of transfer devices from simple push pull to complex magnetically coupled rotary drives. For applications that require combined rotary and linear movement, magnetic linear and rotary motion sample transfer devices can be used. These devices use a magnetic coupling to impart both linear and rotary movement to the shaft, without the need for bellows. sales@vacgen.com www.vacgen.com +44 (0) 1424 856 333
Linear Rack & Pinion Drives These devices have been designed to allow careful, reliable transfer of samples within UHV systems. The linear rack assembly is moved by a separate rotary drive on the LRP and RLRP. The RLRP uses a second drive to rotate the 5mm dia shaft. Both units are available with the the option of either 70mm OD conflat mounting flange or heavy duty version mounted on 152mm od conflat flange. sales@vacgen.com www.vacgen.com +44 (0) 1424 856 333
Rotary Drives Linear Drives When a vacuum process requires a sample or component to be accurately rotated within the vacuum chamber, VACGEN provide a comprehensive range of manually or motor driven options. Enabling linear motion in vacuum with travel options of 25mm to 150mm in manual, push-pull, micrometer driven, pneumatic and motorised versions.
Manipulators Manipulation VACGEN s range of manipulators are renowned for reliability with exceptional precision and quality. Our range allows for modular flexibility with options such as the Z stage, XY stage, rotary drives and sample holders. Each unit is compatible to allow for complex manipulation to be built up.
