2018-2019 Season Packet Evaluations: Evaluations will be held Saturday, June 9 th from Noon - 3pm. Individual Skill Assessment is required for team placement. Please reference Skill Handout for level requirements. Arrival time is 12pm, SHARP at 1754 Carlisle Pike, Hanover (HEC gym entrance to rear of building). Coaching staff will evaluate each athlete on the following criteria: Tumbling difficulty Tumbling execution Stunting positions (flyer, base, back spot) Flyer flexibility, tosses and dismounts Jump technique Overall attitude and attendance from the past season, if applicable Team Placements: Athletes will be placed on a team for the 2018-2019 season based on ability and age. EEC coaching staff will place an athlete on a team that they feel will best fit the athlete and the team. Pricing: Online registration begins May 14 th at www.eagleselitecheer.com (click on registration link). EEC is a year round performance rec program. Competition Fee is $1,000 00 for the season, 1 st deposit of $40 00 due at time of registration. The balance of the competition fee will be payable monthly from June 2018 through May 2019. Monthly payments of $80 are due on the 1 st of each month. Monthly balances not paid by the 15 th of each month will be charged to credit card on file and are subject to a 5% processing fee. Registration closes June 30, 2018. Family Discount: $50.00 for each additional sibling registering for the 2018-2019 season.

Registration fee includes the following: Uniform o For the 2018-2019 season, we will be ordering new uniforms and bows. This uniform will be worn for the 2019/2020 season as well. Shoes Bow Professionally choreographed routine Music Minimum of (8) competition fees Facility rental Gym Benefits* Family/sibling discount Additional Cost: Traveling time is required for at least 2 overnight stays. Hotels: TBD, cost will be on individual basis, with personal credit card with contracted hotels for a 2 night minimum stay in Ocean City, MD and Virginia Beach, VA. Fundraiser Information: Eagles Elite Cheer is a 501(c)3 organization and, as such, we rely on fundraising to offset gym expenses not covered by athlete registration fees. EEC conducts 2-3 fundraisers per season to benefit the organization. Your participation in fundraisers strongly encouraged for the success of our organization and to maintain registration fees. Eagles Elite Cheer will also offer opportunities throughout the season to help offset athlete costs. The profits from these fundraisers can be used to cover your athlete s monthly tuition. Organization fundraisers include raffle tickets and annual crab feed. Some of the fundraisers that we have offered include to offset tuition include sub sales, Mr. Ed s Fudge and Friends & Family letters. Business Sponsorships are a huge help to our program. Watch for exciting opportunities with business sponsorships for the 2018-2019 season. For Sponsor Levels & Forms visit: www.eagleselitecheer.com Practice/Comp Attire: EEC or practice T-shirt and practice cheer shoes are required at every practice. Hair must be worn in a high ponytail. No jewelry; newly pierced ears must be covered by a band aid/tape. Nails must be cut short. Comp Shoes are to be worn ONLY for competitions. Uniform, warm up jacket, bows and shoes are yours to

keep upon completion of the comp season. Uniform and warm up jacket fitting dates are TBD. Attendance/Behavior Policy: Attendance is a must. This is a team sport dependent on 100% participation of all athletes. If a cheerleader is going to be late or miss a practice, you must let your coach know. An athlete with more than two unexcused absences, or any issues disrespecting coaches/teammates, may result in becoming an alternate, moved to a different position/team regardless of skill, or removed from the program. Examples of excused absences include: Serious illness with doctor s note Death in the family Religious obligation Mandatory school function that affects your grade Examples of unexcused absences include but are not limited to: School social events that do NOT affect your grade Birthday dinners No ride Tired and have a headache Working/Babysitting No Show If an athlete has an injury and is not able to participate because of doctor recommendation, the athlete is still expected to attend and observe all practices and competitions unless otherwise specified by their doctor. This will not be considered an excused or unexcused absence UNLESS the athlete doesn t attend practice and competitions. Attending practices the week of a competition is MANDATORY. Week of competition is defined as Sunday before event, up to competition date. Attendance at competition is mandatory! An absence may result in immediate removal from program. *During comp, rec sports are secondary, with the exception high school sports*

Parents and cheerleaders should remember to be respectful and courteous to others at all times. A positive attitude and good sportsmanship are integral parts of the cheerleading program. The behaviors below as well as all others mentioned in this handbook encourage teamwork and must be followed. Members may be reviewed for any infractions of rules listed in this handbook or posted in the gym. 1. Social Media comments regarding Eagles Elite Cheer, team members, other gyms, etc. should be made only in a positive fashion. NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS! If you see inappropriate comments at any time please report them to our parent liaison immediately and do not respond to them. 2. No gossip about any other team or gyms (rec, school or all-star) 3. No smoking, drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of drugs. This will warrant immediate dismissal from the squad. 4. Challenging the authority of the coach or person in charge, by student or parent, will be automatic dismissal from team. 5. Abusive behavior, lying or any other negative form of behavior is ground for dismissal. 6. Each member will follow all rules and guidelines given by the coach or person in charge. 7. Any negative behavior towards an Eagles Elite Cheer member or to another gym will result in dismissal from the team. 8. Be respectful of the facility and always take care when using equipment and pick up after yourself in all areas of the facility. Set an example to others by being respectful at all times. 9. No profanity or abusive language. PARENT LIAISON: Eagles Elite Cheer has a Parent Liaison that will serve as the go-to person between the parents, the coaches, and the board. The Parent Liaison will conduct the parent meetings and relay important dates and information to the parents as needed. The Parent Liaison will be introduced at the skills assessment at the beginning of each season. If, throughout the season, there is a situation or concern from a parent regarding their cheerleader or the team, the parent will not discuss this with other parents or cheerleaders but rather communicate it to the parent liaison, whom will address as needed with the coaches or the board. If a concern or situation should arise during a competition, unless it is urgent in nature or an emergency, please allow 24 hours before seeking out the parent liaison. Please remember that the day of competitions, the coaches need to focus on the cheerleaders and the program, they should not be distracted with side concerns as this could impact all the cheerleaders and their overall performance.

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS Must be of age: 5-18 yrs. old as of August 31, 2018 Athletes are encouraged to have cheered/played for a rec or high school sport during regular season. Knowledge of cheer skills (arm movements, jumps, dance) Knowledge of tumbling skills per level. Squads & Age Brackets: Senior Squad (18-Under), Junior Squad (14- Under), Youth Squad (12- Under), Pee-Wee Squad (10- Under), Mini Squad (8- Under), Tiny Tots Squad (6- Under) Required Skills & Tumbling for Squad Level Placement: LEVEL 1 : Level appropriate arm & dance skills, forward rolls, 3 jumps 8 count sequence, cartwheel, round off, Required Tumbling: walkover, thigh/prep/1 leg thigh/prep stunts. Flyers 4 advanced body positions. LEVEL 3.1: Level appropriate arm & dance skills, dive rolls, 3 jumps 8 count sequence, cartwheel, round off, Required Tumbling: walkover, prep/full/full libs/skill baskets stunts Flyers 4 advanced body positions LEVEL 2: Level appropriate arm & dance skills, dive rolls, 3 jumps 8 count sequence, walkover Required Tumbling: back handspring, prep/full stunts/one leg prep/straight ride baskets. EEC Parent & Athlete Code of Conduct Agreement My athlete and I understand that being a member of Eagles Elite Cheer is a privilege. We understand that we are making a full SEASON commitment to EEC policies, coaches and teams. The athlete commits to giving 100% towards becoming a successful team member. The parent(s) commit to providing positive support to our cheerleaders and the EEC organization. We understand that failure to support EEC code of conduct and policies could result in my athlete being assigned to an alternate status on a different team or being asked to leave the program. By initialing and signing below, my athlete and I acknowledge that we have read the season information packet and hereby agree to ALL policies and procedures set by Eagles Elite Cheer for the entire cheer season. / Cheerleading is a sport that requires total commitment. This season long commitment to the team must be taken very seriously. It is important that all team members attend all practices and competitions. This requires time management skills and involvement in other activities will need to be arranged around cheerleading practice schedules and competition dates. It is also very important to arrive on time to all practices and competitions. / I understand that I am making a full season commitment for my athlete and family. Our tryouts are in June and our season runs from July until the following May; If for some unfortunate reason, you do not complete your obligation, you will not be refunded any tuition, money spent on fees, fundraising monies, etc. / I am fully aware that the apparel that is issued to my athlete, including uniform, warm-ups, bow, etc. is the property of Eagles Elite Cheer, Inc. until the completion of the competition cheer season in May. At the conclusion of the season in May, the uniform becomes the property of the athlete. If for some unfortunate reason you do not complete your obligation, you must return the uniform to EEC immediately. Comp shoes are to be worn for competitions only. / Cheerleading is a team sport. Athletes must be present for practice and abide by the attendance policies. I have read those policies and understand that if we do not adhere to them, my athlete could lose their spot within the team choreography, be moved to a different team regardless of skills or be asked to leave the program. Athletes are expected to be at practice even if they are injured or ill to make sure they stay current with routine changes.

/ It is extremely important that our records be kept current. Please provide any changes to your address, email address, telephone number(s), and/or medical information to the organization s treasurer promptly. / All routines/choreography including cheers, dances, stunts, transitions, and tumbling should be highly protected and shall not be shown or discussed with others. Eagles Elite Cheer choreography should not be taught or copied to anyone without the consent of Eagles Elite Cheer. NO VIDEOS of routines, choreography, or tryout material should be uploaded to any social network sites such as YOUTUBE or Facebook, etc Only Eagles Elite Board Members can approve the use of the Eagles Elite Cheer name and logo and anything created without Board approval will not be acceptable and cannot be used. / Competitions are not optional and all team members are required to participate in every competition. Out of town competitions will require travel which parents will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and cost. If a parent is unable to attend a competition, they must make arrangements with other parents for transportation, and accommodations if overnight is required for their athlete. / I promise to only speak positively of the program, coaches, teams and athletes. If I have a concern or conflict that I would like to discuss, I will have the discussion in private with our Eagles Elite Cheer Parent Liaison and never at a competition, and will not participate in negative side conversations with parents or with cheerleaders but will address direct concerns with the Eagles Elite Parent Liaison. / All social media posts must be positive in nature; not only about our athletes, teams, coaches, and program; but also about our sport and competitors. / I understand that if my child grows, if I desire a size change or if items are lost, I will be responsible for the new item(s) which could incur additional costs and shipping charges. Lost, stained or gear that has holes in it must be replaced. / I am fully aware of the financial commitment involved for the 2018-2019 season and for competition travel costs. / I understand that there is a $30 fee for a returned check for any reason. If there is any physical or medical reason why he/she should not participate fully, the organization requires a doctor s medical release. Furthermore, the organization is not liable for any injury incurred during cheerleading. In the event of an emergency occurring while my son/daughter is involved in a Eagles Elite Cheer sponsored practice, competition, event or trip, I grant my permission to the organization and its staff to take whatever action is necessary. In the event that I cannot be reached, I hereby authorize the staff to give consent for my son/daughter to receive medical treatment.
