Invitation to follow. Pre - Jersey Round Island Challenge session with Sean Conway Ordinary to Extraordinary with Sean Conway at 4pm on Friday 13 July at the Royal Yacht Hotel. The organisers of the Jersey Round Island challenge (JRIC) are excited to hold a short, but highly energised and exciting presentation from motivational speaker and extreme endurance athlete, Sean Conway. The event will be held on Friday 13 July at the Royal Yacht between 4pm and 5pm. After the event, Sean will be joining other participants of the epic JRIC for a race briefing, which will commence at 5pm. Pre-Event Briefing / Race Pack Information All participants will receive a goodie bag at the Pre-Event Briefing to be held at 5.00pm at Celestial Hall, Royal Yacht hotel on Friday 13 July. Your goodie bag will contain your Race Bib (with the exception of swimmers) and your event t-shirt along with a few other treats from our sponsors and The Grace Crocker Family Support Foundation. On water competitors will also be provided with a tracker in your race pack, please bring your own water housing should you require it. Relay runners will receive a race bib number prefixed with the letter R. All on water competitors will receive a tracker for the duration of the challenge. Runners will not receive a tracker. Please see below instructions from Race Nation on your tracker and how it works. Please note that you will need to provide your own water housing for the trackers. Event HQ The Event HQ will be located at Grouville Long Beach. This area will contain the start and finish line for the run and swim disciplines, the welcome home line for on-water challengers, event command centre, entertainment, food and drink and masseuse. Upon completion of the course, all runners and swimmers will finish at Event HQ. All on-water challengers will finish at Ouaisne Beach. After securing your equipment, please head to Event HQ for a hero s welcome across the land finish line. You will receive a complimentary food voucher and food will be available between 5pm and 8pm. Those that finish prior to this, are welcome to enjoy a complimentary massage from Diane or Sandra our team of dedicated masseurs. Food and drink shall also be available for purchase for friends and family everyone is welcome. Event HQ assistance Event HQ will be in contact with Le Mourier Charters and the Coastguard throughout the event. Normandy Rescue (First Aid) will have two ambulances dedicated to the event. Where assistance is required, competitors should first contact Event HQ on 07797 869407 or in case of a medical emergency dial 999. Prize Giving & After Party Our event is all about supporting the community and celebrating the Jersey lifestyle our event HQ will be open to all throughout the day and will have facilities for children, families and participants. All participants of all five-race categories are invited to join us from 4:30pm to celebrate achievements, which is based in Grouville, Long Beach mound (overlooking the beach, to greet our swimmers and runners!!). The organisers would like all participants to join us from 7:00pm for the prize giving where all competitors will receive their medals and top performer awards will be given out. The Course, Check Points and Procedures Please read the relevant section below depending on your race category so that you are fully prepared for the event. 1) LAND-BASED CHALLENGE - RUN The course starts and finishes at Grouville Long Beach and follows the path of the familiar round island course. Please try to keep the sea on your right hand side and in areas where you are on the road, please take care with traffic. Follow the blue trail paint markings you will see along the entire route. We will also erect some additional signage, in the form of yellow signs with black arrows, these will be located in key areas to ensure everyone stays on the correct course! For full directions and associated plotted routes, please refer to our accompanying document; The Run Route. All runners should take time to familiarize themselves with the course as best they can. One important thing to note: Please close all gates behind you after passing through. Run relay team of 8: Changeover points; For relay teams of 8 there are seven relay change over points which relay runners must pass and have their race bib number recorded. One marshal will be in attendance and shall be monitoring runners as they pass. The checkpoints are: START Grouville Long beach 6.2 miles to Changeover Point 1 Changeover Point 1 White Rock 3.3 miles /5.3km Changeover Point 2 Bouley Bay 4 miles / 6.4km

Please note all relay changeover points are not water or fueling stations. Run relay team of 5: Changeover points; There will be four Changeover Points which all runners must pass and have their race bib number recorded. Each Check Point will have Fuel Station complete with water, fruit and sugary snacks. Two marshals will be in attendance and shall be monitoring runners as they pass. Run relay team of 2: Changeover point; START Grouville Long beach 26.5 miles to Changeover point Changeover Point 1 La Braye 13 miles /20.9km Solo Runners Bag Drop Facility - For Solo runners we provide a bag drop facility. Please ensure your bag is clearly labeled and handed in to the events team in Event HQ near the start line no later than 7.45am. We will then transfer your bag to Check Point 2 La Fontaine once you start the race and then bring back to the Finish line after you pass though Check Point 2. Relay Team - Self-Management All relay runners are required to manage their changeovers and will need to organize their own transport to and from the check point. Whilst heading home for a quick shower may be tempting, we do encourage all challengers to return to the Event HQ as soon as possible to soak up the atmosphere and wait for your team members to come in. The last team member should also confirm their finish time with the Volunteer Marshals at the finish line. Minimum Kit Requirements: RUN Full Distance runners: Hydration pack, own bottles (minimum 500ml) Relay Runners: 0.5L bottle of fluid All Runners: Mobile phone, suitable clothing to enhance visibility and protect from the elements 2) WATER-BASED CHALLENGE Swim The meeting place is at Albert Pier, St Helier. This is so all swimmers can board the boats, take a short trip to Grouville, Long Beach. The first swimmer will swim ashore to start the race from the beach.

With the exception of SUP relay teams, all participants will be taking on the full round island challenge and will be on water from the start to the finish.
