2 11 Marshall County Clover Chatter-April Calendar of Events Spring is here! Crops, gardens, and flowers will soon be growing all around us to give color back to our world that has been cloudy and gray for so many months. And as the weather gets nicer and warmer, there s no excuse not to get outside. Whether it s to work in the fields or with your animals, to play sports, or simply to do cartwheels, be sure to get outside and be active every day if you re able. Area judging contests are coming up, good luck to all those participating, and be sure to check with your coaches about signup deadlines if you re interested in competing but are not yet registered. The livestock/dairy contest will be in Kosciusko County on April 14, the Horse & Pony contest will be in Lake County on April 30, and the Area Tractor contest will be in Marshall County on June 11, to name a few. VOLUNTEERS: If you have not yet reactivated your 4-H Online account to be a screened volunteer for 2016, please do so as soon as possible so you don t have to go through the entire screening application process again. If you have any questions or need help with the process, contact Angie at the Extension Office and she d be glad to help. Is anyone interested in volunteering to teach a 6 hour workshop (broken down into increments of your choice) to young people (3rd-12th graders) on any topic of your choice? Or, maybe you know of someone not currently involved with 4-H that has a skill they would like to teach to youth. Martial Arts? Calligraphy? Self-defense? Yoga? Quilting? Golf? Anything! I am looking for volunteers (new or current) to teach young people more about the world around them. If you, or someone you know, might be interested-please contact me. Thanks!
