This summer, TD Summer (TD SRC) helps kids find and explore their passions, and encourages them to share their delight with others along the way. The TD SRC is free for children ages 2 to 12. The Club is for children of all abilities. Pre-readers and children with print disabilities receive their own version of the notebook. This summer earn buttons for every book you read to personalize your own book bag! Read and report on ten books by August 13 and you will also receive an invitation to the final party! Registration and book reporting start on Tuesday, July 3. You can report on your first two books when you register! TD SRC Special Events We Love Buttons! Friday, July 6, MFR Branch, Vineland Drop in 2:30 to 4 pm Saturday, July 7, Fleming Branch, Beamsville Drop in 10:30 am to noon or 2:30 to 4 pm Start your TD SRC collection off right! Drop in to make your own buttons. Bring any pictures you would like to make into a button (maximum three buttons each). Free. TD SRC Final Party featuring comedic juggler Greg Tarlin! Every child who reads and reports on ten books at either LPL branch by August 13 earns an invitation to come to our TD SRC Final Party on Wednesday August 15! Info on Teen and Adult SRCs on the other side!

Teen Summer Summer s for those ages 13 and up (no upper age limit!) Adult Summer How the Clubs work: 1. Beginning Tuesday July 3, register at either LPL branch and receive a log book and book bag. 2. Keep track of the number of hours you read. Every two hours earns you a button (teens) or charm (adults). 3. Bring your log book to the branch where you registered to get your rewards. 4. Once you have completed a book, fill out a ballot to win an additional prize in our end-of-summer draw. Entries close on Monday August 13. Examine how catapults work and knock down an angry bird protected by a structure built by your opponents! Tuesday, July 17 at 2:30 pm Crime Lab (Grades 4 & up) Hone your investigative skills by collecting data to solve a mystery. Techniques include chromatography, fingerprinting and chemical analysis. Wednesday, August 1 at 2:30 pm Dynamic Dinos (Grades K to 4) Become a paleontologist! Learn about different dinosaurs and make a fossil footprint to take home. **Allergy Alert: Peanut-free chocolate chip cookies will be used**. See above for program descriptions. July 16 or 18 After a Fashion Join us for a story and then design a cool outfit for a 3-foot tall paper friend. July 23 or 25 Sports Spectacular! We will be making a mini foosball game and reading sports stories. July 30 (Fleming Only) Furry Friends Bring your favourite stuffed friend for a story and scavenger hunt. August 10 Let s Experiment Make elephant toothpaste, make an egg fit into a jar and more in this fun-filled science hour. Registration Details Program Registration starts Monday June 18 at both LPL branches. Programs have limited spaces and fill quickly, unless stated as a drop-in. Children must be the minimum age/grade stated for the program. Each program has a $3 non-refundable materials fee, except where indicated.
