Who needs a nice cold beverage? It is hot out there and so I hope you are all staying cool. We finally have the weather that everyone dreams about in the winter-time so just try and stay hydrated while you re enjoying these fabulous summer months. Wow! July is turning out to be a great month for some fun cool Phoenix Club indoor and outdoor activities and we hope that you will come out and participate with us. Please check out page three for More details about our Paint N Sip party on the 14 th, Popeye s Golf Outing on the 22 nd and Couple s Bowling on July 28 th. Just don t forget to sign up at the club for all of these fantastic events. Whether you come out to participate or even support the activities we love seeing you out and about. Here s a heads up or a friendly reminder We are asking all of our smoker friends to smoke outside of the game room exit door rather than the dining room door or the front door. Ash trays and seating are available outside of the pool room door. Your cooperation with this move is much appreciated. fun and activities to our members we couldn t do any of this without you the members, volunteers and staff that give us the ideas and help bring the events to life! Lastly, if you are wondering why I am writing this month s welcome message and not Dan Dan is out in Colorado being a great Dad and assisting his son with a project on their home for the next couple of weeks. Account Executive for Kayhan, which is an office furnishing company. P.S. Member Spotlight Best part of your job? The variety always working with so many types of customers that it keeps it fresh. Favorite pastime? I m a volleyball official. You will usually find Paul hanging out in the dining room watching whatever sports game is on TV! A special breakfast at the Club is a delicious breakfast at an excellent value. PRIME RIB DINNER Thank you to Tim White and Crew for the Prime Rib dinner. A delicious Prime Rib dinner was expertly cooked and served. FRIDAY NIGHT STEAK AND FISH FRYS Thank you to all the Friday Night Steak and Fish Fry Crews who cooked in May and June The Popeye & Yogi Crew The Cook Crew The White Crew DECORATING THE BAR The APD Crew The Jules Crew The Fred Silva Crew Thank to John and Marge Stumpf for decorating around the bar with the baseball decorations and red white and blue lights. It takes a lot of time but makes the bar room very festive. FATHER S DAY BREAKFAST Father s Day Breakfast was a great success because of Tim White and Crew cooking up a feast fit for a king (or Dad). Thanks to everyone who came out and treated dad to a great breakfast. FAMILY TRIVIA NIGHT Thank you to Lisa Linden and Betty Chandler for organizing the Family Trivia night in June! Between the trivia questions and quick challenges it was a great time had by all who attended! Watch for another fun trivia night soon. SATURDAY NIGHT OUTDOOR BOWLING Thank you to Bonnie Reder and Diane Rudow for Saturday Night Outdoor Bowling. Great attendance is always guaranteed because of the organizing skills of these two ladies. PHOENIX CLUB PICNIC The annual Phoenix Club Picnic needs many volunteers to make it a success. Thank you to Jules Owen for organizing and managing this year s picnic and thank you to all who volunteered to help and who came out for a wonderful afternoon by the river.
