Brecksville Women s Club Newsletter Editor: Jan Sebesy October, 2017 Distribution: Ellen Blackburn www.brecksvillewomensclub.com President s Message Mary Ann Baum Hello Ladies Well it looks like we are dealing with some fall temperatures, I do not mind, I like fall, but not what comes after fall. I am not looking forward to winter. While I am on the subject, if the Brecksville Broadview Hts. Schools are closed because of inclement weather, our meetings are also canceled. I am so pleased that we have filled our slate for 2017-2018. I would sincerely like to thank the ladies who stepped up to fill them. Our historian is Kathleen Moore, our photographer is Jo Ann Schentur, our publicity person is Barbara Began our by-laws person is Thelma Loeffler. Again, I sincerely thank you for your support of the club. At our October luncheon, for Halloween, I would like everyone to dress up in a costume. It will be fun to see all the different costumes. We will be giving out some prizes, come and bring a guest. Our fall fundraiser will be here before you know it. Everyone knows how much work goes into preparing for it. Elaine Connelly is signing up volunteers for different areas where she needs help. Please ladies this is a club fund raiser, and since our mission is to support our scholarship fund, and the other philanthropic organizations we support we need everyone's cooperation, with a donation of some kind whether it be monetary or otherwise. I expect all of our members to take part in our mission. This is not only the board s club but it is every member s obligation to take part in their club. So please do your part. It is not enough to just pay your dues, you must participate. Our membership is down so this is very important. Thank you. I will see the board on October 17 at 10 am at Grand Bay and the rest of the membership on October 24th for our luncheon. 1
