Stabling & Schooling Horse Stalls will be available Friday at 10:00 a.m. Ticketed warm-up Friday from 12:30 6:30 p.m. A certified medic will be on site. Number of riders schooling should be limited to 8 (per show ring) at one time. PLEASE warm-up on flat in the regular warm-up rings first, (& jump in the show rings). Ring Monitors will be present to insure that warm ups are conducted in a safe and courteous manner. Exhibitors may hack (only) in show rings on mornings before show. Shavings Horse park regulations state that all horse stalls have a minimum of 2 bags of shavings. You may bring your own, or order shavings from Queen Sales (770) 860-9111. Golf carts may also be rented thru Queen Sales. (To insure availability of golf cart, please call by Tuesday morning prior to show.) Directions to GA International Horse Park: From I-20 take exit #82. At end of ramp go north on Hwy. #138 approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Centennial Olympic Parkway. Main entrance is 2 miles ahead on right. General Rules * H. J. Fox Classics, their employees & officials shall not be responsible for any accident or injury which might occur to persons, horses or any property while at the show, nor will they be responsible for any personal articles lost, stolen or destroyed. * Schooling over Show Fences permitted only during designated time. *Horses and Ponies may enter no more than 7 classes over fences in a single show day, including equitation, warm-ups, & all special classes (such as classics). * Management may restrict the courtesy circle with a mandatory dotted line. * A 3 minute gate call may be put into effect at any time upon announcement. * Flat Classes will not be held for trainer conflicts. Please check with gate keepers often, & advise them of possible upcoming conflicts. * Proper attire is required in all classes except warm-ups, when chaps or other nonstandard attire may be worn. * Martingales are not permitted in flat classes. Running martingales allowed in Jumper Ring. * Helmets must be worn while mounted at all times. All riders must wear ASTM-SEI approved helmets with a properly-adjusted (snug) harness. * All dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long, or otherwise contained, at all times while on competition grounds. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs behaviors. Owners of loose and/or disruptive dogs may be subject to penalties and/or fines. * Unlicensed drivers are not permitted to operate motorized vehicle of any kind including (but not limited to) golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds. * Questions not covered by GHJA rules will be decided by show management; such decisions will be final. * Any verbal or physical act of discourtesy toward a judge, show official, show staff or Horse Park staff member on the part of a trainer, owner, rider, groom, family member or person associated with an entry will immediately disqualify that entry, and all fees will be forfeited. *A current Negative Coggins is required to be on the show grounds. * Adds & scratches MUST be made in Show Office, with Add/Scratch slips presented to appropriate gate. Scratch tickets are mandatory to remove a class from your bill. * Poling & offsets are forbidden anywhere on the show grounds. * In order to compete in pony classes, GHJA or USEF measurement cards must be presented to the show office. A GHJA steward will be available on the show grounds on both Saturday and Sunday if you need to have a pony measured. * The Class Schedule may be changed for the betterment of the show. Exhibitors agree to show under a substitute judge should a legitimate need arise. * Parents or guardians shall hold management, staff & officials harmless for any injury to minor show participants, staff, or spectators. H. J. Fox & GHJA Division Specs: The August shows are Local Member GHJA shows, & part of the 6 week-end 2018 H. J. Fox Classics Series. Every person who participates in these shows is responsible for knowledge of & is subject to GHJA & H. J. Fox rules. The following divisions are recognized by H. J. Fox & GHJA. Points won will count toward year-end awards. Hunter Divisions: Open Hunter Open to all horses or ponies ridden by juniors, amateurs or professionals. Fence height 2 6 or 3. Rider may show at either height group. Adult Amateur Hunter Open to Adult Amateur riders on horses or ponies. A pony ridden in the Adult Amateur Hunters may not cross enter into any Pony Hunter division or Junior Equitation classes or Junior Medal at the same show. Fence height 3. (Horse/rider combo MAY NOT cross enter Pre-Adult!) Children s Hunter Open to all horses ridden by a Junior. Fence height 3. (Horse/rider combo MAY NOT cross enter Pre-Child!) Pre-Adult Hunter Open to Adult Amateur riders on horse or ponies; horse/rider combination may not have competed at 3 3 or higher at Local or Regular Member shows in the previous 3 years. Fence height 2 6. (Horse/rider combo MAY NOT cross enter into Adult Hunter.) Pre-Children s Hunter Open to Junior riders on horses or ponies; horse/rider combination may not have competed at 3 3 or higher at Local or Regular Member shows in previous 3 years. Fence height 2 6. Hunter Over Fences To be shown over at least 8 fences at required height. To be judged on performance & soundness unless otherwise stated. Hunter under Saddle to be shown at walk, trot & canter. Light contact with horse s mouth is required. Martingales not permitted. Hunter courses will simulate fences found in the hunt field such as brush, wall, in & out, oxer, post & rails, gate, bank, coop & panels. Divisions with less than 3 entries may be combined. Pony must possess & present to office a GHJA or USEF measurement card to compete in any Pony Hunter division. All courses, horse & pony, are set on a 12 stride Points, Prizes & Cash Awards Classes require a minimum of 3 entries for points to count, or to make a division. Classes offering prize money of $500 (or more) must have 10 entries to award full cash amount. If less than 10 but minimum of 5, the respective entry fee will be reduced by half, with class becoming an add-back. A portion of entry fees & added money will be distributed among top placings (40%, 25%, 15%, 10%, 6%, and 4%) If class has minimum of 3 (but less than 5), the entry fee will be reduced to that of a normal class, & no cash will be awarded. Normal ribbons and prizes will then apply. Entries in Hunter Derby, Mini Prix or other cash award classes must enter minimum of one other class besides the money class. All questions not covered in these Rules & Regulations shall be decided by Management; it s decision to be final. Management reserves the right to limit entries, to refuse, accept conditionally or cancel entries, disqualify any rider or prohibit exhibition of entries, cancel prizes, change courses, add a dotted line, cancel or combine unfilled classes, reschedule classes (after due notice), change rings, rotate judges, or change specs in jumper classes as conditions warrant without any claim of damages. Every horse entered will be under control of management, but the show management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.
