Clinics: Open Clinics are every Thursday from April 5 th to May 24 th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They take place at the Southampton Youth Center. This is a great opportunity for you to jump start the season. Register on www.southamptonknightscheerleading.com 8 sessions for $60 or $10 per session. Practices: We have scheduled as much gym time as possible (see the below schedule), but practice times are subject to change throughout the year based on gym availability. Vacations June 1 st through August 31 st will be excused given notice. All practices from June to August may be deemed excusable under the COACHES discretion if notified ahead of time. Summer Vacations will be excused if given notice before the end of May. Camp is mandatory of all athletes regardless! Once the season begins, vacations are not excused. Vacations or absences during competition season (October-February) will result in removal from the routine should they conflict with practices and/or competitions. Coaches hold the right to decide what is considered excusable and what is not. On September 1 st, the full season rules are in effect, athletes must be fully available and committed. Only 2 unexcused absences are allotted per girl. Excused absences are ONLY illness with a doctor s note provided (without it, its unexcused) and family emergencies. After the 2nd unexcused, the athlete is removed from the team. Since we are a competitive team, it is pertinent that all athletes are fully committed to all practices. CHEERLEADERS (not parents) must contact the coach ahead of time to let them know they are missing practice and what the reason is. Any reason other than above will be considered unexcused. Anyone who fails to contact their coach if they will not be there will be excused from the team. Coaches hold the right to treat an absence on an individual basis if necessary. All cheerleaders must come to practice ready to work. Be on time. If practice begins at 6:00 pm, plan to be there by 5:45 pm. All cheerleaders will receive practice wear, they are expected to wear the correct outfit at every practice. A schedule will be handed out once the season has officially started and the camp/practice wear has been received. All cheerleaders must wear sneakers and hair needs to be pulled up. Jewelry and gum are not allowed. Please bring water to every practice. June: Tuesdays and Thursdays (May 29 th to June 22 nd ) 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm It is important that we get our stunt groups ready to get the most out of camp Camp will be June 25 th to the 27 th (see more information in the UCA Camp Section) July: Tuesdays 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm August to December: (we may add more days during this time to prepare for Regionals) Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 to 9:00 pm Sundays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm We may be adding Wednesdays for tumbling and jump drills to increase skills. January to February: (these days and times are tentative and may change) Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00 to 7:00 pm Sundays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Injury: Please be aware that all injuries that require an athlete to sit out REQUIRE a doctor s note that must be handed in to the coach. When that athlete is cleared, the note clearing them must be handed in as well. A coach will not allow any athlete to participate at all without a clearing note. Athletes must still attend all functions regardless of injury to sit out. Behavior Expectations In order for the teams to be successful we need to act like a team at all times. Personal issues need to be kept out of the gym and other team activities. Respect your teammates and coaches. We will not tolerate pettiness among the teams. You are an athlete, act as such.
