Thrasher Disassembly When disassembling your pistol, you should always wear safety glasses. There are springs in the pistol that could become dislodged and cause severe eye damage. Step 1. Before disassembling your pistol, always check to ensure the magazine is removed and the chamber is empty of any ammunition. With the gun pointed in a safe direction, release the magazine by pressing the magazine release button and taking out the mag, (Figure A). Figure A Step 2. With your finger away from the trigger and outside of the trigger guard, pull back the slide and visually check to ensure there is no round still loaded in the chamber, (Figure B). Figure B If there is a round still in the chamber pg. 2
and it will not fall out, click the thumb safety on and immediately take your gun to a certified gunsmith. Step 3. Pull the slide back until the slide stop is in line with the slide stop notch, (Figure C). Never put your hand in front of the barrel when doing so, as a safety precaution. Figure C Step 4. With the slide stop in line with the slide stop notch, push the slide stop pin, on the right side of the gun, (Figure D). Figure D pg. 3
Step 5. Pushing the slide stop pin from the right side will slightly push out the slide stop on the left side. Now you can pull the slide stop completely out of the pistol, (Figure E). Figure E Step 6. Once the slide stop is removed, pull the slide forward and completely off of the gun, (Figure F). Figure F pg. 4
Step 7. To remove the recoil spring assembly, which is holding the barrel in place, pull back only the recoil spring plate (Figure G), so that the recoil spring rod stays extended. While holding back the recoil spring plate, pull the recoil spring assembly out and away from the slide, (Figure H). Figure G Figure H pg. 5
Step 8. Remove the recoil spring bushing, once the recoil spring assembly has been removed, (Figure I). Step 9. Slide the barrel out the front of the slide (Figure J). Figure I STOP!!! No further disassembly is required for the cleaning of this firearm. If further disassembly is needed, take your pistol to a certified gunsmith. Figure J pg. 6
To reassembly this firearm, reverse the disassembly instructions. Helpful hints: Thrasher Reassembly 1. When installing the recoil spring assembly, make sure the recoil spring plate is pressed firmly against the barrel, and the recoil spring assembly is level with the slide, (Figure K). 2. Once the slide is completely on the gun & the barrel link (Figure K) is in line with the slide stop pin hole, put the slide stop pin half way through the pin hole, (Figure L). Figure K Figure L pg. 7
pg. 8 3. With the slide stop pin half way in the hole, pull back the slide until the slide stop notch lines up with the slide stop. Now press in the slide stop until it seats firmly against the frame of the gun, (Figure M). Figure M All of the warnings, safety rules, warranty information, part descriptions, and operation instructions in the original manual also apply to this Thrasher pistol. You must read the original manual in its entirety, except for the disassembly/reassembly instructions, before using this firearm.
