Wolfpack Girls Swimming & Diving Invite Updates Pack Win St. Viator Invite The Wolfpack took first place at the 24th Annual St. Viator Invite on Saturday. The Wolfpack won 10 of the 11 events including a sweep of the relays. The Wolfpack were led by trio of double event winners Clare MacNamara (200 free / 500 free), Nina Mantich (200 IM / 100 back) and Natalie Tapia (50 free / 100 free). Jamie Doherty also picked up an individual title in the 100 breast. The winning 200 medley relay was Mantich, Doherty, Tapia and Diana Fernandez. The winning 200 free relay included Doherty, Tara White, Tapia and MacNamara. The championship 400 free relay was composed of MacNamara, White, Fernandez and Mantich. Top 10 performances were also turned in by White (200 free / 500 free), Doherty (200 IM), Fernandez (50 free / 100 free), Rosie Scannell (100 fly / 100 back) and Jenny Stelnicki (100 fly / 100 breast).] Pack 2 nd at Dan O Brien Relays The Pack took 2nd at the Dan O Brien Relays at Fenwick on Saturday. The Wolfpack won 5 of the 13 events and took second in two. Winning relays included the 200 medley relay of Gillian Gagnard, Emily Erickson, Caira Watson and Dolan; the 200 free relay of Brianna Gist, Mary Claire D Arrigo, Gagnard and Watson; the 200 back relay of Gist, Dolan, Stephanie Lopez and Gagnard; the 200 breast relay of Lauren Cox, Ellie Boyle, Carson Goldrick and Erickson; and the 400 free relay of Gist, Cox, Lopez and Dolan. Runner up relays performances include the freshman 200 medley relay of Boyle, Carson Goldrick, Cox and Fernanda Oliveira; and the 400 IM relay of Cox, Carson Goldrick, Erickson and Dolan.

Wolfpack Win York Invite The Pack captured first place the York Invite on Saturday. The Pack outpaced the runner-up York Dukes by over 100 points to take the title in the 9 team field. Ignatius was led by a trio of individual event winners - Lauren Cox (100 fly), Natalie Tapia (100 free) and Nina Mantich (100 back). Runner-up performances were turned in by Clare MacNamara (200 free), Tapia (50 free), Emma Dolan (100 free) and Marysol Arce (500 free). Top 6 performers include Arce (200 free), Mantich (200 IM), Mary Claire D'Arrigo (50 free), Dolan (50 free), Rosie Scannell (100 fly), Brianna Gist (100 free / 100 back), MacNamara (500 free), Gillian Gagnard (100 back), Jamie Doherty (100 breast), Emily Erickson (100 breast) and Karen Juarez (100 breast). Additional point scorers include Mia McNair (1M Diving), Tara White (200 free), Boyle (200 IM) and Juarez (100 fly). In relay action the Pack brought home team wins in the 200 free relay (Mantich, Arce, MacNamara, Tapia) and the 400 free relay (Cox, MacNamara, Gist, Arce). The 'A' medley relay of Mantich, Doherty, Tapia and Dolan finished second while the 'B' medley of Gagnard, Erickson, Cox and Gist finished third. The 'B' 200 free relay of Gagnard, D'Arrigo, White and Dolan took 4th and the 'B' 400 free relay of Gagnard, D'Arrigo, White and Juarez finished 5th.

Wolfpack Tie Rosary for Title at Sandburg Invite The Wolfpack captured a first place tie with #2 Rosary at the Sandburg Invitational over the weekend. After 13 events the two conference teams each finished with 332 points to share the team title. The Wolfpack had 3 individual event winners Clare MacNamara (200 free), Marysol Arce (500 free) and Nina Mantich (100 back). Runner-up performances were turned in by Lauren Cox (200 IM) and MacNamara (500 free). Additional podium performers include Mantich (200 IM), Natalie Tapia (50 free), Emma Dolan (50 free), Cox (100 free), Gillian Gagnard (100 back) and Jamie Doherty (100 breast). Point scorers include Tara White (200 free), Karen Juarez (200 IM / 100 fly), Mary Claire D'Arrigo (50 free), Brianna Gist (100 free), Dolan (100 free), Ellie Boyle (500 free) and Emily Erickson (100 breast). In relay action the Pack took top honors in both the 200 free and 400 free relays. The 200 free consisted of Mantich, Cox, MacNamara and Tapia while the 400 free relay was composed of MacNamara, Cox, Arce and Tapia. The 200 medley of Mantich, Doherty, Tapia and Dolan finished 2nd. All 3 'B' relays finished in the top 6 with the B medley of Gist, Erickson, Gagnard and D'Arrigo tying for 6th, the 200 free relay of D'Arrigo, Gist, Dolan and Arce taking 4th and the 400 free relay of White, Gist, Molly Skoglund and Gagnard also finishing 4th. Wolfpack Take 3 rd at MCAC Championships Girls JV Swimming & Diving The Pack finished 3rd at the MCAC championships on Saturday. The Wolfpack were led by Tara White who took first place in the 200 free and set a new conference record in the process. White finished 2nd in the 100 free and was a member of the 200 and 400 free relays that each finished 3rd. For her performances White was named MCAC JV Conference Swimmer of the Year. Diana Fernandez had a 3rd and 4th place finish in the 50 and 100 free. Rosie Scannell took 4th in the 100 fly and 5th in the 100 back. Georgia Goldrick was 5th in the 200 free and 6th in the 100 free. Juliana Lynch was 5th in the 500 free and 7th in the 100 fly. Jenny Stelnicki was 6th in the 200 IM and 7th in the 100 free. Katie Roberts grabbed 6th in the 500 free. Additional scoring performances include Clara Lindland (200 free / 100 free), Danika Chavez (200 IM), Iman Williamson (50 free / 100 breast), Fernanda Oliveira (100 fly / 100 back), Katie Roberts (100 back) and Hannah Bright (100 breast). In relay action the 200 medley relay of Scannell, Lynch, Oliveira and Roberts took 6th, while the B team of Mary Clare Bormes, Bright, Chavez and Williamson finished 7th. The 200 and 400 free relay foursome of White, Goldrick, Stelnicki and Fernandez took 3rd in both with the 400 free relay eclipsing the previous conference record along with Fenwick and Loyola. The B 200 free relay of Olivera, Caroline VanDam, Kazumi Musial and Brianna Guzman finished 10th and the B 400 free relay of Scannell, Roberts, Lynch and Lindland finished 7th.

Wolfpack Place 2 nd at MCAC Championships Girls Frosh/Soph Swimming & Diving The Wolfpack finished 2nd place and took home three conference titles and set two new conference records. The 200 medley relay foursome of Brianna Gist, Emily Erickson, Caira Watson and Mary Clare D Arrigo raced to a school and conference record to open the meet up with a 1:50.66. Molly Skoglund teamed up with Watson, Gist and D Arrigo to take him the conference crown in the 200 free relay as well setting a new conference record. The 400 free relay of Skoglund, Stephanie Lopez, Ellie Boyle and Erickson finished 2nd. Ellie Boyle took home the conference title in the 500 free and also picked up a 5th place finish in the 200 IM. Gist was runner up in the 100 back and finished 3rd in the 100 free. D Arrigo was second in the 50 free and 4th in the 100 free. Skoglund finished 4th in the 100 back and was 6th in the 200 free. Lopez was 4th in the 200 free and 7th in the 500 free. Erickson was 4th in the 100 breast and 9th in the 200 IM. Watson was 6th in the 50 free and 7th in the 100 fly. Carson Goldrick took 7th in the 100 breast and 8th in the 100 fly. Wolfpack Take 3 rd at Tough MCAC Championships The Wolfpack had strong showing at the MCAC Championships. The Wolfpack finished 3rd behind the top 2 ranked teams in the state (Loyola and Rosary). Marysol Arce was conference champion in the 500 free and also picked up a 3rd place finish in the 200 free to garner All- Conference honors in both events. Natalie Tapia was also named to the All-conference team with her runner-up performance in the 50 free along with an 8th place showing in the 100 free. Jamie Doherty (3rd 100 breast) and Lauren Cox (3rd 100 fly / 7th 100 fly) also picked up All- Conference honors with their performances. Clare MacNamara finished 4th in the 500 free and 5th in the 200 free. Nina Mantich was 4th in the 100 back and 5th in the 200 IM. Gillian Gagnard finished 5th in the 100 back and 9th in the 100 free. Karen Juarez had a pair of 9th place finished in the 100 fly and 100 breast and Emma Dolan finished 9th in the 50 free. In relay action the 200 medley of Mantich, Doherty, Cox and Dolan finished 3rd. The 200 free relay of Mantich, Dolan, MacNamara and Tapia finished 2nd and the 400 free relay of MacNamara, Cox, Arce and Tapia finished 3rd.

Wolfpack Headed to IHSA State Finals The Wolfpack captured their 10th consecutive IHSA Sectional Championship on Saturday and 11th overall. No Ignatius swimmer finished lower than 5th and the Wolfpack swept all 3 relay events, won 4 individual events and qualified 8 for the IHSA State Meet. Clare MacNamara was a double individual event winner grabbing sectional titles in the 200 and 500 free, advancing to state in both. Gillian Gagnard took home the 100 back title to advance to state and finished 2nd in the 100 free. Gagnard's backstroke time established a new Varsity and Fr/So school record. Jamie Doherty took first place in the 100 breaststroke to qualify for state. Lauren Cox finished 2nd in the 200 IM and 100 fly and advanced to state with her IM time. Both of her times are new Fr/So school records. Nina Mantich was second in the 100 back advancing to state with her time and also finished 3rd in the 200 IM. All 3 relays advanced to the state meet. The 200 medley relay included Mantich, Doherty, Natalie Tapia and Emma Dolan. The 200 free relay was composed of Mantich, Dolan, MacNamara and Tapia. The 400 free relay was MacNamara, Cox, Marysol Arce and Tapia. Additional All-Sectional performances include Arce (200 / 500 free), Dolan (50 free), Tapia (50 free), Amada Paris (1M Diving), Mia McNair (1M Diving), Karen Juarez (100 fly), Brianna Gist (100 free) and Emily Erickson (100 breast).
