April 4, 2017 Rounds 11, 12 & 13 of the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association season were held on March 31 st, April 1 st and 2 nd. The Mystik Lubricants National Championships was held Friday with Main Events under the lights and the Dayco National Snowcross Final on Saturday and Sunday at Horseshoe Resort. The events at Horseshoe Resort were the perfect way to end the season. Rain held off for the Main Events on Friday while Saturday and Sunday were filled with blue skies and warm temperatures. Fans and racers had the chance to have a meet and greet with Levi Lavallee and Bob Izumi on Friday evening before the races. The kids had a blast with the Easter Egg hunt on Saturday and viral social media star, Larry Enticer, showed up for the Lee Memorial Vintage Cup on Sunday. Overall the beautiful weather and great events all weekend brought out the most spectators this season. In the Sport 600 2 class #117 Isaac St.Onge (St.Onge Ski-Doo) from Barrie,ON took the win followed by #204 Justin Roney (Xtreme Toys, Polaris) from London, ON in 2 nd and #612 Roy Norris (Country Corner, Arctic Cat) from Grand Bend, ON in 3 rd. 1 st place in the Pro-Lite class on Friday night went to #335 Taylor McCoy (McCoy Racing, Ski-Doo) from Bracebridge, ON in 1 st place followed by #14 RJ Roy (Huber Motorsports, Rockstar Energy Drink, Polaris) from Porcupine, ON in 2 nd. 3 rd place went to #459 Jake Weir (Black River Racing, Arctic Cat) from Bracebridge, ON. The Royal Distributing Pro Open final win went to #999 Colby Crapo (Huber Motorsports, Rockstar Energy Drink, Polaris) from St. Anthony, ID followed by #173 Corey Watkinson (Watkinson Motorsports, Arctic Cat) from Port Carling, ON in 2 nd. #115 Dave Joanis (London Recreational Racing, Rockstar Energy Drink, Ski-Doo) from Cochrane, ON took 3 rd place in the final. The fans had a great time getting autographs outside thanks to the beautiful weather. Yamaha test rides were the perfect compliment to the weekend. 120cc snowmobiles and the new 200cc Snoscoot were available for the kids to ride.
With the biggest Snow Bike turnout of the season the crowd was in for a crazy show! The Easter Egg hunt on Saturday had the kids and adults alike running all over the track in search of chocolate eggs the Easter Bunny himself!
The Lee Memorial Cup race was held on Sunday and gave the crowd another great show. Viral sensation, Larry Enticer, showed up for the race as well and of course he had to get his photo taken with our beautiful Rockstar Energy Drink Girls!
