Please follow the link below, read through the document, and follow the link within the document to apply. Applications are due Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9:00pm! Click HERE to apply for this position. We're excited for an amazing season of performances! TPT is here!! Exciting news! TPT registration opens TODAY! Participating in our performance program is an incredible way for dancers to build confidence, hone their skills and technique, make lifelong friends, and share their love of Irish dance with their community. Keep an eye out for an email with all details on the program and how to register! Black Cats, mirrors, and ladders. Many people are weary of these things on a daily basis, but if it is Friday the 13th, people take extra precautions. Even going so far as to cancel flights and train tickets! Why are we so afraid of this day and where do some of these superstitions come from? Well, we thought we go and find some of the most common superstitions and look for the back story! How many do you believe in?? To recognize the accomplishments of dancers who excel in the classroom and in the dance studio, the IDTAMA is proud to offer academic scholarships: (a) for high school seniors graduating in Spring, 2018 and planning to attend a four-year undergraduate college or university (b) for students enrolled in a four -year undergraduate college program who will still be enrolled as an undergraduate in a four-year undergraduate college or university during the 18-19 school year. APPLICATION LINK The deadline to submit applications is December 15, 2017 Winners will be announced by May 5, 2018. 5 Black Cats- Black Cats have been feared since the witch hunts of the middle ages, when cats were thought to be connected with evil. It is considered bad luck to have a black cat cross your path. Walking Under a Ladder- If you walk under a ladder you supposedly break a spriritual triangle that will leave you more vulnerable to evil. BUT there is a way to reverse this bad luck! Cross your fingers and spit three times through the Ladder Rungs! Breaking a Mirror- People of old believed that our reflections in a mirror were more than just that, they believed that the mirror held our souls! Therefore to break a mirror would break your soul into pieces for seven years. But again we are in luck (no pun intended) there is a way to break this curse too! You must wait seven hours (one for each year of bad luck) before picking up the pieces and burring them outside!
