London and Home Counties Branch Rules of Feiseanna 1. The adjudicator's decision is final. 2. Any form of communication with an adjudicator may render a competitor liable to disqualification. 3. The Feis Organiser reserves the right to amend the programme where necessary. 4. The Feis Organiser reserves the right to substitute the published adjudicator(s) should the need arise. 5. The right of admission is reserved. 6. The decision of the Feis Organiser is final in all matters arising from, or not specifically provided for in these rules. 7. Dancers must line up when called upon to do so. Once the first three competitors step onto the dance floor the competition will be closed, unless the Feis Organiser deems it necessary to hold it open 8. st Ages will be taken as 1 January and proof of date of birth will be required if challenged. 9. Objections must be submitted through a qualified teacher to the Feis Organiser with the required fee of 3 prior to the announcement of results. 10. st Beginners Grade - Confined to those who have never won a 1 prize in that particular dance in any age group. 11. st Pre-Open Grade - Confined to those who have never won a 1 prize in that particular dance in any age group which is specified. 12. Open Grade - Not confined to either Beginners or Pre-Open. 13. Competitors must be in full costume for the presentation of prizes. 14. No video cameras or still photographs to be taken during competitions. These may be used during prize giving. 15. All competitors under 9 and below, competitors in Beginners A, B and Figure competitions must wear class costumes, or skirt, blouse, etc. Those wearing solo costumes will not be allowed to compete and their entry fee will not be refunded. 16. All perpetual trophies must be returned annually, in time for the relevant competition, when a replica will be given. Failure to return a perpetual trophy will result in An Comhdhail rules being implemented (suspension from competition for 3 months). 17. Competitors may only dance outside their own age group in solo competitions when the dance is not catered for in their own age group, except where a competition is a double age group. 18. Competitors may not compete in more than two grades for a particular dance in all age groups. 19. In figure dancing 50% of the team must be of the specified age group, and only 50% of a team may compete in another team in the same competition. 20. A dancer may only compete in one 2-Hand or one 3-Hand in any one age group. 21. Dancers are not permitted to change costumes in the hall. They may use a designated changing area. 22. Teachers, parents or other dancers are not permitted to coach a dancer whilst they are on stage. 23. This competition is registered with An Comhdhail Muinteoiri Na Rinci Gaelacha and under the rules of the London & Home Counties Branch. 24. As and from 1st Jan no make-up permitted up to and including under 12. 25. There will be a 1.00 Parking Fee Per Car / Per day to park in the school. 26. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the school grounds.
