Tracking is popular system which is often referred to as frequency analysis, hot and cold numbers. It involves keeping track of the individual numbers and frequency of numbers that are drawn over a period of time. Numbers that appear most often in a certain game are called hot numbers. Some players believe that hot numbers in the recent draws will more likely to repeat in the future. Other players believe such numbers may be on their way out. Thus, they track the cold numbers or the overdue ones that haven't hit yet. Most specialists, however, play a combination of these hot and cold numbers. Experts have different opinions on tracking methods, so there's no exact method for tracking numbers. Once you understand the idea of frequency analysis, you can develop your own tracking formula. DEVELOP STRATEGIES FOR NUMBERS SELECTION HOT NUMBERS One strategy in the selection of numbers is to play the probabilities of those numbers which are most likely to be drawn, meaning the most frequently drawn numbers. Play those numbers that keep coming out at short intervals. If you track the numbers being drawn, some 75% of the numbers are drawn within the last 10 draws. OVERDUE NUMBERS However, you should also pick some numbers that are overdue (ie. 11 draws and above), as there are some 20% 20
of these numbers fall within this group. But do bear in mind that certain overdue numbers may get stuck for a long time. In Singapore Toto, number 33 did not appear for 60 draws before it finally come out. So it may not be worthwhile chasing an overdue number. Hence, the key to successful number selection is play numbers that come most often. In this way, you will more likely to catch the correct numbers. A study shows that 80% of the numbers come from the last 10 draws. On the other hand, only 20% of the numbers pattern come from the so-called overdue group, ie above 10 draws since last hit. ODD-EVEN LOTTO NUMBER When you select your lotto numbers, try to have a relatively even mix of odd and even numbers. All odd numbers or all even numbers are rarely drawn, occurring loess than 5 percent of the time.
