General information VENUE The venue of the 2018 European Young Masters is Hauger Golf Club, situated just north of the Norwegian capital, Oslo. The club was founded in 1988 and is celebrating 30 years jubilee this year. The layout is a parkland course and is designed by Jeremy Turner. Hauger Golf Club has hosted Challenge Tour for both ladies and gents. The length of the course from the women s back tee is 5400 meters, par 72 and 6300 meters from the men s back tee, par 72. Friday, 27 July 2 nd round Stroke play. Saturday, 28 July 3 rd round Stroke play. The Closing Ceremony will take place 30 minutes after the end of play. TRANSPORTATION Transport from the airport to the hotel will be by train. The train (Line R11, R10 and L12) from Oslo Airport Gardemoen to Lillestrøm leaves from track 4 three times every hour, and takes 12 minutes. (03, 13 and 43 past the hour) The cost for the train is 79 NOK per person and is paid individually. The hotel is located just across from the train station in Lillestrøm. (190m) A shuttle service will be provided between the official hotel and Hauger Golf Club from the first practice day on. Information regarding transportation will be at Scandic Hotel Lillestrøm. ACCOMMODATION The official hotel is Scandic Lillestrøm, located inside the suburban city Lillestrøm. There will be a shuttle service between the hotel and the golf course, travel time is approx. 15 minutes. Time schedule will be provided upon arrival. Any country wishing to make alternative arrangements for accommodation can do so, however official transport is only provided from the official hotel to and from the golf course. TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Communication The use of handheld transceivers (walkie-talkie) for communication purposes between Team Captains, Team Advisors and Team Players, is prohibited. Penalty for Breach of condition: Disqualification of Team. Caddies As per item 1.6 a. in the EGA Conditions of Competition for The European Young Masters, only fellow Team Players are permitted to act as caddies. Catering at the golf club The Club House restaurant offers a variety of warm and cold meals and a variety of beverages. Team Managers wishing to set up a catering account must contact Hauger Golf Club catering staff directly to activate this service. Catering accounts must be paid cash or by credit card in advance. Team Managers must sign off their account prior to departure. Players and Officials, eligible to charge to an account, will be issued with an identification card. Team Managers intending to set-up a catering account must collect identification charge cards from the Information Office. Dress code Dress regulations are smart/casual throughout the week i.e. jeans, denim trousers, shorts, sleeveless or collarless shirts, track suits and training shoes are prohibited. Tailored shorts are allowed. Anti-Doping All competitors are subject to the provisions of the International Golf Federation s Anti- Doping Policy. Any competitors who are taking medication and in doubt as to their clinical status should seek advice from the EGA Office not later than 30 days before the start of the championship. Fruit and water Complimentary fruit will be available on the course on tournament days. Due to environmental concern, we encourage players to drink and refill water from the tap. Norwegian tap water is pure and considered to be equal or better than bottled water. Golf bags A storage room for golf bags can be made available. Please contact the Tournament Office upon arrival. Locker rooms There are a few locker rooms available in the Club House for girls and boys. Each participating team will have access to a locker for storage of personal belongings. Liability Players, officials and guests are reminded that Hauger Golf Club, the Norwegian Golf Federation, European Golf Association and official hotels cannot be held responsible for loss of equipment or personal possessions. Medical care Medical personnel will be on-call during the Championship. Photos The official photo session will take place on Wednesday, 26 July before the Opening Ceremony. Team captains will be informed of the exact time. Practice The official practice days are Tuesday, 24 July and Wednesday, 25 July. The Starting lists for the practice rounds will be available upon arrival. Practice facilities There is a driving range to accommodate players according to a schedule where balls will be provided. In addition, there is a simple short game area and one practice putting green. Press office A wireless network and a photocopier will be available for members of the press at the golf club. All requests regarding press will be handled by the Norwegian Golf Federation. Pro shop The pro shop is located across the courtyard from the Club House next to the parking lot. It is well stocked with equipment and clothes. Registration Registration for the tournament will take place in the tournament office, no later than Tuesday, 24 July, 17.00.
