Grass will be sown later in the winter. The gravel work is done. The walls separating the public and rifle ranges are almost done. To keep water out of the walls, a rain cap has been put on the top of them. The turning targets on the pistol range need to be checked before the PPC match. Security Gate Chance presented information on the cost of a keypad operated gate at the range entrance. He has received a bid from one business and is waiting for another bid. There NEW BUSINESS: Incident/Accident Report A recent incident was the topic of the importance of reporting even minor incidents. There are Incident/ Accident Report sheets in a box at the rifle and at the pistol ranges. They are to be filled out and given to Chance. There was discussion as to whether such reports need to be submitted to our insurance company and Chance will look into that. Match Promotion Chance asked that each discipline chair send him information about upcoming matches and he will see that that information gets forwarded to the news media and in the newsletter. Taking top Honors in the Semi-Auto category is Bill Fairless with Dennis Sanderson coming in second and Jim Taylor coming in third. Taking top honors in the Modern category is Gary Buchanan with Wimpy Blaine coming in second and Tripp Gilson coming in third. I know the scores don t reflect what I just said, But you can only win in only one category! Thanks to all the guys for helping set up and take down the targets. See you next month for our last match of the year on the 1st Saturday in October. Ricky

Page 6 September 2015 BB MATCH REPORT JPRPC Paducah, KY 7-28-15 July match was stricken by heavy rain showers. That caused light attendance but a few diehard shooters waited it out. Once underway we had a total of 15 entries. Three new shooters joined us for there first ever silhouette match. Brook B. a junior was assisted by her grandfather Gary and father Mike. Brook shot the Tactical targets prone which is the accepted procedure for juniors. She also finished the day with four entries shooting 4 positions on the last. Brooks scores were excellent and we welcome her and family. Mike Fahey shot Small Bore Tactical. In June Mike observed the majority of the day. He had no problems navigating through the course and shot very well. Last and at the end of the day we were introduced to Don McRoy. Don regularly attends Jackson s NRA High Power matches. He decided to shoot the Field Pistol course of fire. Shooting a Ruger SRH 44 Magnum, Don completed with a Class A score of 14. Welcome to these new shooters. We hope you enjoyed your silhouette shooting experience. Congratulations on your great performances. Leading the way for IHMSA entry was Darell Holcombe. Shooting high standing score of 27 in Field Pistol Production. The high Tactical Small Bore Optic went to John McCutchen. John has done some awesome things to his CZ bolt gun! Numerous people have contacted me regarding the August 23 match. It should prove to be one of our best. Plan to attend. Thank you to all that helped during the match. We again had a successful day because of everyone s commitment. September 2015 Page 7 BB MATCH REPORT JPRPC Paducah, KY 8-23-15 We had a forecast for poor weather conditions but rain did not materialize. End result we had 32 entries, 18 were sanctioned IHMSA firearms. This was by far the most interesting match of the year due to a few unforeseen circumstances. Some good, and some not so good! First I would like to welcome our visitors. Those that traveled a great distance thank you for making the extra effort to support JPRPC. We had some great competition in numerous categories. First in BB UAS John Howard once again leads with a 39 plus 8 shoot off targets. I also shot a 39/8 missing 1 ram. John wins this match by reverse ram count! Dennis Sanderson was very close posting a respectful 37. Congratulations John nice shooting! In Unlimited Standing Richard Hawkins took the honors with a solid 34. Richard also had excellent scores in Unlimited and 1/5 scale. Pete Wories posted his best ever score of 26 in US. Pete tells me the turkeys are his nemesis. Most likely it is a downfall caused by an inescapable agent! William Parmley shot IHMSA Practical Hunter Short Course and posted one of his highest scores of 36. I would like encourage more to consider the Long and Short course Practical Hunter category. It has relatively no rules other than firearm length and to be shot in a safe position. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding Practical Hunter.
