Competitions Handbook: Chobham & District Rifle Club 0 General Conditions for all Competitions 1. Eligibility: All entrants must be current, paid-up shooting members of Chobham & District Rifle Club. 2. General For any circumstances not expressly stated or provided for by this handbook the standard rules of the NSRA, NRA, ISSF or UIT as appropriate to the discipline concerned shall apply. 3. Entry: Apart from Spoon competitions, competitors may only shoot one set of targets for each competition. 4. Stickers: Stickers must be affixed to targets and the competitors name entered before beginning to shoot. Cards must be shot in sequence. 5. Venue Unless otherwise stated, all cards must be shot at the Chobham & District Rifle Club. For competitions scheduled for other ranges, a competitor who arrives to shoot more than 30 minutes later than the published commencement time may shoot only if his/her inclusion will not adversely affect other participants and on the understanding that he/she may not be able to complete the full course of fire. 6. Timing: Targets must be shot during the stated period for each competition. Permission may be granted by a Club official for an extension of not more than one week at either end of the shooting period given prior notification of good cause for such an extension. The Stats Officer to be notified of all such extensions before the end of the normal shooting period. 7. Tie Breaking Unless stated otherwise ties will be broken to decide the order of ranking as follows: i) The highest score at the longest range ii) the highest score in the last ten shot series working backward by 10shot series until the tie is broken; iii) the highest number of 10 s, 9 s, 8 s, etc.; iv) the highest number of inner tens; v) if any ties remain, the shooters must be given the same ranking and must be listed in alphabetical order using the shooters family names. 8. Ammunition Unless otherwise stated, any commercially made ammunition appropriate to the discipline supplied by the competitor 9. Infringements Any infringement of the rules may result in the disqualification of the offending members entry to that competition at the discretion of the Club Stats Officer or the Range Control Officer present. Serious breaches impinging upon the integrity of the competitor or general safety may be referred to the Club Committee to consider further action which could include revocation of Club Membership. 10. Amendments If, on the day of a shoot, it becomes apparent that in order to complete a competition satisfactorily the current Stats Officer, or any other Committee member present may, subject to obtaining a general concensus of all members present and shooting, make such temporary changes to the rules as may be dictated by the circumstances.

Competitions Handbook: Chobham & District Rifle Club 15 Chobham Cannon Open To Conditions. Teams of four members of Chobham & District Rifle Club. Each team is to consist of one firer in each of the following disciplines: a. Full-bore Target Rifle b..22 Target Rifle (Prone at 25 yards) c. Sporting.22 Rifle d. Air Pistol Firers are to declare their discipline(s) in order of priority on the entry form. Each team MUST contain a Junior, for the purpose of this competition a Junior is any Club member who is under the age of 18 years on the day the team draw takes place (22 nd August 2005). The draw for teams will be made by the Club Committee and published on the noticeboard. Course of fire: a. Full-bore Target Rifle - 2 sighters & 10 shots to count at 300 yds and 2 sighters & 10 shots to count at 1000 yards. This element of the competition will take place concurrent to the Bosman Cup and the Virginia Water Cup. b. Small-bore Target Rifle - 20 competition shots fired from the prone position at 25 yards. Unlimited sighters may be fired. There is no time Limit c. Sporting 22. Rifle - 20 competition shots fired from the standing position at PL14 target 20 yards. d. Air Pistol - 20 competition shots at 10 metres. Unlimited sighters may be fired. There is no time limit Team Selection Procedure The Match Secretary will publish an Entry form in the Club by the end of April. Closing date for entries will be the Last day of March. The Committee will draw teams from those entering the match Once nominated, the person firing Full-bore Target Rifle will assume the position of Team Captain and he/she shall notify the Match Secretary of a name for his/her team. The Team Captain will be issued with targets/stickers, (except for full-bore Target Rifle) by the Match Secretary. All targets will have stickers placed upon them before shooting. The team will have from the time the targets are issued, until the date of the Club Christmas Shoot (Wappenshaw) to complete the match. Reserves Once the team has been nominated, reserves will N0T be permitted. In the event of a team member failing to fire their discipline. the team shall forfeit that discipline and earn no points.

Coaching is permitted for the Junior only, and is encouraged, for the purpose of this competition a Junior is any Club member under the age of 18. An adult member of the team is to be present when the Junior member fires his/her cards. Juniors may elect to fire any discipline. They must have shown competence in their chosen discipline before firing the competition. Once a member has nominated or been assigned their discipline, they cannot change with another team member. Individual disciplines will be scored according to discipline rules. Once the targets in each discipline have been scored, the firers will be awarded match points according to the teams beaten in each discipline. The Winning team will be the team with most match points Ties Ties will be decided on the match points gained in full-bore Target Rifle, then.22 Target Rifle, then Sporting.22 Rifle and finally Air Pistol If there is still a tie a shoot will take place consisting of 10 shots at 25 yards with.22 Target Rifle.
