SANCTION: HOST: This meet is sanctioned by USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming. Sanction #IN18252 (NOB-IN) LOCATION: Forest Park Aquatic Center, 1077 Cicero Rd., Noblesville, IN 46060 FACILITY: RULES: The venue consists of an outdoor 50 meter, 10 lane competition pool with a 25 yard, 7 lane warm-up/warm-down area in a separate diving well. A Colorado timing system with touch pads will be used for this meet. The minimum water depth in accordance with Article 103.2.3 is 4 ½ feet at the start end. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with Article 104.2.2C(4). Deck space will be available for spectators, but available seating is limited and spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules will govern this meet. Coaches and officials must display their current USA Swimming coach credential or Deck Pass to gain deck access. The Meet Referee and/or Meet Director reserves the right to ask for coach credential or Deck Pass and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer valid/current. In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two pieces except as provided in USA Swimming Article 205.10.1. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and warmdown. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer s responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet. Any swimmer entered in the meet, must be certified by a USA Swimming-member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, restrooms or locker rooms. Deck changes are prohibited. Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open-ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval by the Program Operations Vice Chair.
Swimmer(s) must be registered with USA Swimming to be accepted into this meet. Age as of Friday, July 13, 2018 shall determine swimmer s age group for the entire meet. Indiana Swimming does not process on-site memberships. FORMAT: ENTRY LIMIT: ENTRY FEE: REFUNDS: ENTRY PROCEDURE: ENTRY DEADLINE: DECK ENTRIES: ENTRY CHAIR: All Friday events and all 10&U age group events are timed finals events. All 10&U age group events will be awarded and scored as 8&U and 9-10 age group events with results separated out. The 400 IM, 400 Freestyle, and 1500 Freestyle events will be seeded fastest to slowest and alternate heats between girls and boys. The Meet Referee may combine heats of the 400 IM, 400 Freestyle, or 1500 Freestyle by age and/or gender to consolidate heats. Preliminaries will be conducted for the Saturday and Sunday 11-12 and 13-14 age group events and Open events, with consolation and championship finals. The host reserves the right to use fly-over starts for all events. Swimmers entered in timed finals events will be limited to 4 events per day. Swimmers entered in events with preliminaries will be limited to 3 events per day. Any entry received that is over the specified limit will be entered in events in numerical order until the limit is reached, and scratched from remaining events. There will be no refunds for events scratched due to the entry limit being exceeded. The entry fee is $4 per timed final event and $5 per event with prelim/final events. There is a $2 per swimmer Indiana Swimming surcharge. Make checks payable to. In any meet sanctioned by Indiana Swimming other than Championship Meets, the host team may limit the number of swimmers in any one or more events to maintain a reasonable length of the meet. In the event that entries are limited, the host club must return the entry fees to the club(s) whose swimmers are not allowed to compete in the specific event(s). All entries must be received via email by the Entry Chair. Entries or changes to entries will only be accepted from a coach or designated meet entry chair from a club. Entries will be accepted starting Monday, May 21, 2018 at 8:00 AM. Entry deadline will be Monday, June 4, 2018 at 12:00 PM, but will be extended if the meet is not full. Any accepted team entries may be updated until Monday, July 9, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Deck entries will be accepted if the meet is not full only as new additions for teams already entered in the meet. Officials may request an assigned position by contacting the Meet Referee. This meet has been designated as an Officials Qualifying Meet (OQM) for all N2 positions. Any official desiring an evaluation should submit a completed Request for Evaluation Form to Mickey Smythe (mickeysmythe@comcast.net) prior to the start of the meet. The Request for Evaluation Form is available on the USA Swimming website. To receive an evaluation, officials must work a minimum of 4 sessions, and be evaluated over 3 sessions for certification, or 2 sessions for re-certification. POSITIVE CHECK-IN: SCRATCHES: AWARDS: There will be positive check-in for each session except finals on Saturday and Sunday. Sign-in sheets will be posted outside the southwest entrance near the Admissions table, and will be taken down at the start of warm-ups for the session. Swimmers that are not signed in will be scratched from all events for the session. A swimmer qualifying for a consolation final or championship final in an event with preliminaries shall have 30 minutes after the announced results for the event to scratch from finals. Scratches will be taken at the Scratch Table located on the pool deck. Any swimmer qualifying for a consolation final or championship final that does not scratch from and fails to compete in said final shall be barred from further events that day. For 8&U, 9-10, and 11-12 age group events, medals will be awarded for 1 st through 10 th place, ribbons will be awarded for 11 th through 20 th place, and high point awards will be awarded for 1 st through 3 rd place. For 13-14 age group events and Open events, high point awards will be awarded for 1 st through 10 th place. SAFETY: The safety of all participants and spectators is of the highest priority. All persons using the facility are required to obey the facility management staff at all times regarding safety issues. Any persons not following these instructions will be removed from further participation in the meet. This is an outdoor facility and therefore subject to the possibility of severe weather. At all times, the facility management staff will determine if it is safe to have swimmers in the pool or anyone on the pool deck. In the event of severe weather, the meet committee may postpone events, cancel events, or convert preliminary events into timed finals if necessary to accommodate the schedule.
ADMISSIONS: The charge for spectators will be $6 for a single-day pass, $10 for a two-day pass, or $15 for an all-weekend pass. There will be no charge for spectators ages 12 and under. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Locker rooms with shower and restroom are available; however, no lockers are available. will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. Smoking, including vaping, and use of other tobacco products is prohibited in all areas of the facility. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all areas of the facility. Pets are not allowed in the facility. Glass containers are prohibited in the pool area. Breakfast, lunch and snack items will be available at the concession stand. There will be no Clerk of Course. Heat sheets will be posted in the spectator viewing area, and available free through the Meet Mobile app and the website (noblesvilleswim.com). Gates will open to coaches, spectators, and swimmers, 30 minutes prior to the start of warm-up for the first session each day. Room to place canopy tents in the spectator area is available on a first-come basis. Room to place canopy tents in the team area will be assigned to each team. All times are in Eastern Daylight Time.
