Out on The Twig Billy Flocks wins 1st SASBA title! Volume 21, Issue 20 In the Annual Non-Champs tourney, Billy Flocks and Darrell Coats traded the lead several times and entering the title match, Billy held a 60 pin lead over Darrell. Luis Gregorich trailed him by 5 pins and A.C. Adam was only 7 pins behind Luis. Halfway thru the matches, any of the four could still win. Darrell ran into split problems and Luis could not string enough strikes to catch Billy, even though he defeated A.C. Congrats Billy! Luis got 2 nd, A.C. was 3 rd, Phil Kepner passed Darrell to get 4 th place. Thanks to Bill Blackerby and crew for hosting us again. The bowl was clean and the air conditioning worked great! Our next tourney is the 70/60 doubles at Cowtown. Let us know if you need a partner. Good luck to Kelly Bardwell, who fell and reinjured his back. There was a wedding in the middle of the tournament. Jims Tip: Do you put too much pressure on yourself after a bad game? Instead of thinking I have to shoot a big game here or I need to string some strikes quickly, try breaking the next game(s) into several one-shot events.
