All registration forms MUST be TYPED or LEGIBLY WRITTEN and all information requested on the registration form must be completed. (Forms are available in our office at Town Hall or online at www.cornelius.org/parc) 2. Team rosters and waivers MUST be TYPED or LEGIBLY WRITTEN and attached to the registration form, with all information complete, correct, and current in order for registration to be accepted. 3. All team registration fees must be paid in the form of a personal check, company check, bank check, money order, cash or credit card. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Cornelius PARC Department REGISTRATION PROCESS: All teams interested in participating in the Cornelius PARC Department Adult Softball Program must submit all required information in accordance with the following dates and times: 1. TEAMS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE 2017 FALL OR 2018 SPRING LEAGUE Teams that participated in the 2017 fall or 2018 spring league will be given the first opportunity to register beginning Monday, July 16, 2018. All team registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the league is filled. 2. NEW TEAMS New teams, and all other teams, are eligible to register beginning Monday, July 23, 2018. All team registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the league is filled. Registration will close on Friday, August 17, 2018, or when the league is full, whichever comes first. 3. The following will apply for the 2018 Fall Adult Program: 1. The Men s Rec division will participate primarily on Tuesday evenings at Torrance Chapel Park. 2. The Coed division will participate primarily on Thursday evenings at Torrence Chapel Park. 3. Games are tentatively set to take place at 6:45 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:45 pm or 9:45 pm. Game times are subject to change based upon overall registration. 4. Each division will be open to the first eight (8) teams that register. If more than eight (8) teams register, we will attempt to accommodate additional teams. League games will be played on another weeknight to accommodate additional teams in each division. Game times, dates, and locations are subject to change. 5. Teams should be available to participate on any night of the week in the event of inclement weather or other conditions which might alter the normal game schedule. 6. Games will be played under a one (1) hour time limit. 7. All batters will take their turn at bat beginning with a 1-1 count. Each batter will start with one (1) strike and one (1) ball. Batters will receive 1 foul ball if they have 2 strikes. All other rules and regulations pertaining to pitching / batting will apply. 8. There will be a ten (10) minute grace period for the first game only (6:45 pm game). All other game times are forfeit times. 9. Games cannot end in a tie and all ties must be broken in accordance with USSSA rules. 10. All teams will be eligible to participate in a single-elimination post-season tournament at the conclusion of the regular season. 11. Two (2) game balls must be furnished by each team at the beginning of each league game. All game balls must be inspected by the umpire for approval. The required softball this season will be: USSSA Classic M Teams MUST play with this ball at all times. This applies to Coed also. (11 softballs will not be used.) 12. Regular season play is scheduled to begin the week of August 28. 13. USSSA league level categories: (League) (Home Run Limit) (Disqualification) Rec-League (Men s) 3 NO Coed League 2 NO 14. Team captains and participants should call the RAINOUT HOTLINE on each and every game day for the latest on the status of field conditions. This hotline will be updated after 4:00 pm each game day, whenever possible. If the hotline does not specifically reference games being cancelled, then a decision on the status of games for the evening will be made at the field. RAINOUT HOTLINE: 704-896-2460 X 290 15. Teams are required to wear same or similar color jerseys with a minimum of a 6 number on the front or back. Team Registration Fee: $550.00 per team Non Resident: A $15.00 fee will be assessed to non-resident participants. This fee will be due prior to your team s 3 rd game of the regular season (rosters are frozen 3 rd game). Non-resident fees must be submitted at the Cornelius PARC Department office and will not be collected at the playing field. Any teams with outstanding fees will not be eligible to participate until all fees are paid. Games missed due to outstanding fees will be forfeited and will not be rescheduled.
