This horse show is approved by and conducted under the rules of the American Miniature Horse Association, Alvarado, TX. All horses must be registered with AMHA. A COPY OF BOTH SIDES OF THE REGISTRATION PAPERS OF EACH HORSE ENTERED MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SHOW MANAGER WITH EACH HORSE ENTRY. Entries that are received without a copy of both sides of the registration papers will be held pending until such papers are submitted. NOTE >>> Along with your registration papers, please send a copy of your Senior Stallion Verification Report for any senior stallion entered. This will save time when checking in. All youth and amateur exhibitors must provide a copy of their current AMHA Youth or Amateur card with their entries and provide such # s on the front side of the entry blank. Applications for both these numbers will be available at the Show Office. Please acquaint yourselves with current AMHA rules concerning youth and amateurs. The Show Manager reserves the right to settle and determine all questions, differences and disputes arising out of or connected with or incident to this Show within the boundaries of AMHA s current show rules, and to cancel or combine classes. This Show is qualified for both AMHA World Show points and Southwestern Miniature Horse Club High Point Awards.
SHOW HOURS The show will not start prior to 1:00 pm Saturday and at 8:00 am on Sunday. Lunch & dinner breaks, and warm-up times will be announced as warranted throughout the show weekend. Security will be on the grounds at night, but please be sensible with your belongings, as show management, SWMHC, Somervell Expo Center, or AMHA are not responsible or liable for any loss damage or injury. HEALTH REGULATIONS The State of Texas Animal Health regulations for ALL HORSES require a Negative Coggins (EIA) test within 12 months of the show; horses outside of Texas must be accompanied by a health certificate current within 45 days. A health certificate is NOT required if you are within the state of Texas. DO NOT SEND THESE DOCUMENTS WITH YOUR ENTRIES. PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE: April 18, 2018 REGULAR ENTRIES CLOSE April 18, 2018. Post/Late entry fee will be charged for entries not postmarked by this date, of $15 per horse. CHECK IN & MEASUREMENT OF HORSES Check in and measuring will begin Thursday, May 3 rd from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. measuring will resume Friday & Saturday at 7:00 am and again at 7:00 am on Sunday. If you can't measure within these hours, contact the Show Manager. Hardship measuring will take place during regularly scheduled measuring hours. ALL Entry materials MUST be in the Show Office before measurements will be made. ALL horses entered MUST be measured before they may be allowed to show. STALLS: $75.00 each for entire show Stalls are box stalls (10 x10 ) metal construction, metal bars on concrete floors. No more than 2 horses per stall; stallions ages 2 and older MUST be stalled separately. NO BEDDING IS INCLUDED WITH STALLS & NO OUTSIDE BEDDING MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE SHOW GROUNDS. Shavings will be available from the facility at reasonable rates. Horses may be brought for sale, but pay the appropriate stall fee and meet health requirements. Stall decorations are encouraged. Please help keep the facility clean by putting trash in the barrels and manure in the dumpsters. Stalls will be available at NOON, Thursday, May 3 rd. All stalls must be vacated by 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6 th. Those exhibitors wanting to arrive earlier or stay later must make advance arrangements with Show Management and additional fee of $25/stall/night will apply. Sunday night stay over s will pay $25.00 per stall used, including tack stalls. SPECIAL NOTICE ALL DRIVING EXHIBITORS There will be NO harnessing or hitching of Miniatures in the main aisle from the warm-up arena to the Show arena. Please harness in the side aisles and hitch up out in the warm-up arena. This is for safety and liability concerns. Thank you. JUDGE S EVALUATION CARDS Judge s Evaluation Cards will be available at the Horse Show Office. REFUND POLICY The SWMHC will give a full refund if entries are cancelled in writing by the closing date of the horse show. If entries are cancelled in writing to the show manager and accompanied by a veterinarian s or doctor s certificate of inability to show after the pre-entry closing date, but before the official start of the show on Saturday, April 28 th, all fees other than the stall and office fee will be refunded. After the official start of the show, there will be no refunds. Substitution of a horse will be accepted with no late fee.
COMMERCIAL EXHIBITORS The fee for commercial exhibitors is per day depending on the size of the booth and use of electricity. Tables & chairs are not provided. CONCESSION STAND will be open on Friday - Sunday during show hours. DOGS MUST be kept on a leash or penned at all times; and animals are NOT allowed in the concession area. SMOKING is NOT permitted inside the office, barns or arena areas.
SHOW AWARDS 1 st 6 th place will receive a rosette. Champions will receive a large rosette or prize.
