It is the latest calendar date for a first road game in a season since 1991-92, when the Tigers first road game was Jan. 9. Friday s game is a Homecoming for two Tigers from the Columbia area Austin Ajukwa (Cardinal Newman HS) and Jordan Roper (Irmo HS). Brownell took the 2013-14 team to the semifinals of the NIT, and improved Clemson s overall record by 10 wins over the previous season. Brad has done a tremendous job building a solid foundation for our basketball program. I have the utmost confidence in Brad to continue to build as we compete in the nation s best basketball conference. We re excited to have him lead our program into the future for a long time to come. Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich TIGER BASKETBALL UNDER BROWNELL First Clemson coach to guide the Tigers to at least nine ACC wins in two of his first four seasons. Has taken the Tigers to 32 ACC wins over his first four seasons, more than any other Clemson coach in his first four seasons. His teams own the top four Clemson scoring defenses in the ACC era (1953-present). The Tigers have had three All-ACC selections, including 2014 firstteamer K.J. McDaniels. The Tigers have had at least one All-ACC Defensive Team performer in three of four seasons, led by 2014 Defensive Player of the Year McDaniels. McDaniels was the first underclassman drafted from Clemson into the NBA since 2001. #PROTIGERS Two of Clemson s most exciting players in recent history are currently playing well with their respective NBA teams, Trevor Booker with the Utah Jazz and K.J. McDaniels with the Philadelphia 76ers. McDaniels ranks first among NBA rookies with 1.6 blocked shots per game and leads all players 6-foot-6 or shorter as well. McDaniels is third in scoring (9.5), and seventh in rebounding (3.9) and field goal percentage (.403) among all first-year players. Booker is averaging 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He is shooting 51 percent from the floor. In all, 16 former Tigers are competing professionally. Cliff Hammonds leads the European cast with ALBA Berlin, who knocked off the defending world champion San Antonio Spurs in October.

GAME NOTES & MISCELLANEOUS STATISTICS SERIES HISTORY VS. SOUTH CAROLINA South Carolina holds an 88-76 lead in the series, but Clemson has won the last two meetings overall. Clemson has won 34 of the 50 games played between the two schools since the Gamecocks left the ACC after the 1971-72 season. The two schools have met at least once a season since 1977-78. Between 1990 and 2000, the two programs played eight games decided by five points or less. Clemson won six straight in the series on two occasions in the last 20 years; first from 1994-95 through 1999-2000, and then from 2004-05 through 2009-10. LAST TIME THEY MET Last season, Clemson shot 92 percent from the free throw line (24-26) and held South Carolina to just 35 percent shooting overall and won comfortably in Littlejohn Coliseum, 71-57. K.J. McDaniels was sensational for Clemson with 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Jordan Roper added 15 and Rod Hall 14 in the winning effort. LAST TIME IN COLUMBIA Clemson battled its way to a 64-55 road victory over South Carolina at Colonial Life Arena on Dec. 2, 2013. Devin Booker, Rod Hall and K.J. McDaniels combined to score 44 of Clemson s 64 points. The Tigers played without suspended starter Milton Jennings. The Tigers shot 37 free throws and converted on 81 percent of their second-half attempts. Defensively, Clemson forced 19 Gamecock turnovers and turned them into 23 points on the offensive end of the floor. TIGERS OWN PAIR OF TOP-15 RPI WINS Though it is still early in the season, Clemson is the only ACC school with a pair of wins over top-15 rated teams in the unofficial RPI. TIGERS CLAIM RARE NON-CONFERENCE TOP-25 WIN AT HOME Just how unusual was Clemson s win over No. 18 Arkansas on Dec. 7? It was only the second win at home in program history over a top-25 nonconference team. Prior to the win over the Razorbacks, Clemson s only previous win over a non-conference ranked team was in 1997 over No. 6 South Carolina, 62-57. BROWNELL S PROGRAM EARNS FOURTH TOP-25 WIN The Dec. 7 win over Arkansas was Clemson s fourth over a ranked foe since Brad Brownell became head coach in 2010. It was the first top-25 win for Brownell over a non-conference team, and also the first decided by less than 12 points. THE SEC Clemson travels to South Carolina (Dec. 19) to close out its non-conference tour of the Southeastern Conference. Clemson is 3-0 this season, with wins over LSU, Arkansas and Auburn. The Tigers have three victories over SEC teams, most in a season since 2007-08 when Clemson beat Alabama, Mississippi State and South Carolina. HALL STARTING STREAK REACHES 53 IN A ROW Senior point guard Rod Hall has started 53 consecutive games (and 84 overall) for Clemson. Hall s streak is the longest by a Tiger since Trevor Booker started all 134 games of his career from 2006-10. ALL-TOURNAMENT TIGER Damarcus Harrison was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team after leading the Tigers with 14.3 points per game in the event. He led the team s scoring efforts against Gardner-Webb (19 points) and LSU (16) and shot nearly 54 percent for the event. It was Harrison s first career all-tournament honor, and Clemson s third straight after K.J. McDaniels (2013 Charleston Classic) and Milton Jennings (2012 Old Spice Classic) previously earned accolades. HARRISON SCORING AVERAGE RISING Damarcus Harrison has increased his scoring load this season. The senior is averaging a career-best 12.0 points per game. Harrison is second among active Tigers with 646 career points and is coming off a season-high tying 19 points in the win over Auburn. He previously posted 16 in a Nov. 24 win over LSU. DOUBLE THE PLEASURE Redshirt sophomore Jaron Blossomgame posted three consecutive double-doubles for the Tigers, first in wins over LSU and High Point, and in the loss to Rutgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. He was the first Clemson player since Trevor Booker in 2008-09 to post three consecutive double-doubles. Booker did it against Maryland, Georgia Tech and Virginia in the heart of the ACC regular season. Double-Doubles ACC Leaders Entering his sophomore season, Player, School # Blossomgame had just one Montrezl Harrell, Louisville 5 previous double-double versus Duke (14 points, 14 rebounds). He added a fourth in the win over Auburn with 12 points and Kennedy Meeks, North Carolina Jaron Blossomgame, Clemson Devin Thomas, Wake Forest 5 4 4 10 rebounds, and is tied for third among ACC players so far this season. BLOSSOMGAME BOARDING No player has been as aggressive on the boards for the Tigers as redshirt sophomore Jaron Blossomgame, who leads the team at 9.0 rpg. His figure ranks in a tie for fifth among ACC players this season. Blossomgame posted 26 rebounds in the three Paradise Jam games, including 10-rebound performances against both Gardner-Webb and LSU. The 6-foot-7 forward also leads the Tigers with 26 on the offensive glass.

DONTE S INFERNO Small forward Donte Grantham is off to a hot start for the Tigers. The freshman has posted double figures in six of his first nine games. Among ACC rookies, Grantham ranks eighth in points per game (10.2). He has started every game so far as a freshman and leads Clemson in steals (11), is second in three-pointers (12) and blocks (12), and is third in rebounding (4.3 per game). ROOKS THE SHARPSHOOTER Though he had not played since the season opener, redshirt freshman Patrick Rooks made the most of his second opportunity to see game action. In just 12 minutes, the sharpshooter from Charlotte, N.C., scored 11 points and made 3-of-5 from three-point range vs. High Point on Nov. 29. Rooks minutes and points were obviously a season-high. He sat the 2013-14 due to a hip injury. HUDSON, ROBERTIN SIGN NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT Clemson added two prospects during the early signing period: point guard Ty Hudson (Mableton, Ga.) and center Legend Robertin (London, England). Hudson is a four-star rated guard by every service and was an all-state junior at Pebblebrook High School. Robertin is a 7-1 center playing currently for Chipola Junior College in Florida.
