Sydney 2000 Statistics of the Olympic Games By Wolf Lyberg Editor s Note: ISOH doyen Wolf Lyberg from Stockholm, Sweden, presents the International Society of Olympic Historians with the complete statistics on the participation of athletes in the Games of the XXVIIth Olympiad, Sydney, 2000. For the statistics mentioned under number, he worked together with ISOH president Bill Mallon and they came to the same final figures, which are henceforth the official ones used by the IOC. Lyberg made four different statistical lists:. The participation per National Olympic Committee, by Continents. 2. The continental participation by sports. 3.
