Senior 2 (15 or more years of age; 13-14 years of age with coach s discretion) 15 & Older Swimmers committed to train at the highest level and achieve TAGS, Sectional, NCSA, Junior, and US Open time standards. Swimmer must meet test set and attendance requirements. Committed to swim with RICE Aquatics during all three sessions of training throughout the year, and building a multiple-year training plan. 13-14 Year Olds Swimmers committed to train at the highest level and achieve TAGS and Sectional time standards. Swimmer is at least entering 8 th grade and must meet test set and attendance requirements. Committed to swim with RICE Aquatics during all three sessions of training throughout the year, and building a multiple-year training plan. Able to complete a legal 200 of each stroke, 400IM, and all turns and transitions Consistently leaves the wall in ready position, streamlines, and dolphin kicks appropriately Knows advanced stroke drills Understands the relationship between DPS, stroke rate, and swimming speed Understands body position, balance, posture, and decreasing resistance Knows how to build and descend sets Understands how to train aerobically and anaerobically Understands importance of how to swim sets and practices based on expectations for each set Uses the clock to be aware of pacing during practice sets Gathers and sets up equipment needed for dryland training Currently possession Sectional Time Standard.
